Bombarding Cultivators with Cluster Artillery

The large group launched a military meeting for officers at the company level and above.

”No.7 High School’s camp has been found. Here is the relevant intelligence; everyone, please take a close look.” Hua Bing distributed a stack of video and photo material to each participant of the meeting.

Nobody spoke for the time being.

Jiang Ding opened a drone video that successfully scouted the No.7 High School camp.

In the vast jungle, a small mountain several hundred meters high suddenly appeared at the edge of the sky, with many boulders and trees on it, and traces of tank treads around, but no tanks were visible.

The woodland area was somewhat blurred, affected by a first-order Light Line Invisibility Array. It seems that the skills of the Xianmen Cultivators from No.7 High School are not up to par; the array is not yet fully deployed and can only blur the vision slightly.

The first-order Light Line Invisibility Array of No.1 High School’s camp had been completed several hours ago.

They are now hurrying to set up the First-order King Kong formation, First-order rejuvenation array, First-order electromagnetic induction array, and other complementary defensive and offensive formations.

Bang!

There was the sound of dense heavy machine-gun bullets and even anti-aircraft machine-gun bullets passing through, and the drone’s screen went black, lasting for less than ten seconds, even though multiple drones had previously provided suicidal cover.

Jiang Ding frowned and clicked on several other videos.

Finally, in a corner where vegetation was lush, a thick long muzzle was faintly discernible. With this discovery, after a deliberate search, many suspected muzzle and heavy machine-gun firing holes were indeed found.

”This... is despicable and shameless!”

Jiang Ding abruptly stood up.

This was too disgraceful; it was supposed to be a decisive battle, yet they shamelessly turned it into a fortress, wanting to force a siege! Think again!

”No way, we can’t go!”

In the operational meeting, someone was up in arms; it was Wu Tianli, who mocked, ”Those people from No.7 High School turned themselves into turtle shells, expecting us to march to our deaths, is that possible?”

The class leader from Second Class, Gongsun Ling, also agreed, ”Let’s just watch from outside. I don’t believe they can hide in there forever.”

The others seemed to agree.

A fair examination turned into them demanding a siege; it was impossible!

”There’s a problem.”

The leader of Third Class, Ding Qi, spoke up, ”We have more than double the number of Cultivators in the Qi Practicing Realm and heavy equipment than they do. If we just sit still until the end of the exam, they might not score high, but we would be the ones who lose.”

As for the quadruple number of Wu fighters, they were easily overlooked by him.

”That is indeed a problem.”

The others frowned, similarly not picking on the number of Wu fighters.

Jiang Ding was silent.

He was the only Wu fighter attending the company level officers’ meeting, but he didn’t speak up; without tanks for support, Wu fighters were indeed vulnerable.

”How about we strive for a minor victory? Then quietly wait for their turtle performance.”

Someone suggested.

”How can we achieve a minor victory? They are dead set on huddling in their defensive fortifications. Once they finish setting up the First-order electromagnetic induction array, the search range of the First-order Infantry Radar will expand from thirty to fifty kilometers, and the accuracy will improve too. Approaching then would be a suicide mission,” a Fifth Level Qi Practicing classmate from Second Class objected, not optimistic.

”I think...”

...

Everyone had different opinions, arguing back and forth without reaching any consensus.

”Everyone!”

As the crowd quarreled for a while and gradually grew somewhat tired, Hua Bing spoke up, ”What I mean is that we should launch an attack right now, during the three-day window when it is absolutely impossible for them to construct a First-order electromagnetic induction array.”

”I have several reasons.”

Without waiting for others to object, she continued.

”The first reason is that this is just the final exam, where winning or losing isn’t critical. Gaining experience in siege warfare for the College Entrance Exam is most valuable. Losing some points in practical combat is acceptable.”

Some people showed signs of being moved; after all, the score of one final exam really didn’t matter much.

”Second, we have twice the number of troops. Even if we attack by force, the chances of victory are great!”

Hua Bing looked around at everyone.

”Now, let’s start voting on the strategies proposed by everyone. The battalion level has four votes, company level two votes, platoon level one vote. Let’s begin with my direct assault plan.”

”...Alright then.”

Some of the more cautious students weren’t in favor but couldn’t raise any objections.

Ding!

Jiang Ding glanced at the military conference group chat. Three votes had been put forward, and without a doubt, compared to playing it safe, the officers at all levels preferred Hua Bing’s direct assault plan. Even if it failed, it did not matter.

The attack plan was approved with an overwhelming 86.6% of the vote.

Once the decision was made, all parties sprang into action.

First was Li Junhao and the logistics team; they abandoned the half-completed positions, salvaged reusable formation materials, loaded them onto caterpillar trucks, and Li Junhao had also snagged the job of a truck driver.

Next were the three classes, forty-three tanks advancing at intervals of five hundred meters in a crescent formation, with machine-gun infantry following behind the tanks. Radars and drones were operated at full power, always on guard.

Leading the way were the six tanks personally commanded by Hua Bing, sticking out twenty kilometers from the main force, serving as scouts.

Jiang Ding and Qian Tongyi’s Taoist Soldiers stayed hidden and silently guarded several kilometers in front of the tanks, ready to counter any surprise decapitation attacks from enemy cultivators.

This shouldn’t happen.

Taoist Soldiers, who could easily be detected by tank radar, lacked the ability to launch covert decapitation strikes. This precaution was a tactic against enemies from the Xianmen Sect.

Unless a Xianmen Cultivator who had mastered Concealment Spells, like Li Tie, decided to perform a decapitation strike, the possibility was very slim.

After receiving simple treatment, Jiang Ding had already partially recovered his combat effectiveness, except for a slight discomfort in his arm.

In the distance, a white smoke trail.

”Enemy shell detected, maneuver to evade!”

Before Jiang Ding could even issue a warning, Hua Bing had already detected the shell via radar and calculated the impact point, quickly taking cover inside the tank.

Boom!

A grenade exploded in the jungle, right above her tank. Despite maneuvering to avoid it, many fragments of Breaking Method Steel fragments clinked against the tank armor, creating numerous small pits.

Bang bang!

Meanwhile, the vehicle-mounted anti-aircraft machine guns spewed flames, and a series of bullets exploded two No.7 High School students detected by radar. They had just crawled out of a deep tunnel to provide their No.7 High School Qi Practicing Realm students’ tanks with firing coordinates.

Before she could heave a sigh of relief, more white streaks appeared in the sky.

Boom!

This time it was not grenades, but armor-piercing shells capable of destroying tank armor, narrowly passing by the maneuvering Hua Bing’s tank, leaving behind deep craters in the ground.

Luckily, she wasn’t in an interference area, or else she would have been done for. High cultivation base was of no use here.

Bang bang!

Yet again, a few machine-gun bullets destroyed several drones that had just emerged from the ground for reconnaissance.

Hua Bing, vexed by the relentless sneak attacks, grew somewhat irritable.

”Jiang Ding! In this direction, there are tanks from No.7 High School leaving their fortress. Go scout it out.”

She shouted in the group chat, yet she drove her own tank to temporarily retreat.

Heaven knows how many drones and reconnaissance points No.7 High School had set up along the route; forcing their way through would eventually spell disaster.

Among all the senior high school students from both schools, only Jiang Ding had shown the ability of a recon infantryman. Not only could he hide under Divine Sense, but he could also evade radar waves unless he got too close to a tank or encountered someone skilled in the Electromagnetic Induction Wave Motion Technique.

”Okay.”

Jiang Ding nodded, declined to have Qian Tongyi’s Taoist Soldiers follow, and with a light step, he rushed toward the No.7 High School’s camp.
