The Martial Unity

And yet, it was within Rui’s prediction and prophecy.

The Forge of Creation had long provided him with a solution.

“Domain of Superconductivity.”

An applied technique of the Niflheim domain.

By cooling the atmosphere and isolating substances that had ordinary electrical conductivity, he could create a domain of superconductivity to emerge around him that would allow the free electrons to bond with their separated positively charged nuclei, artificially separated by the Devil’s electromagnetic field.

VMMMM!!!

The Devil’s eyes widened as he watched his own plasma collapse into regular matter that was no longer susceptible to electromagnetic fields. In the blink of an eye, Rui had negated his attack with a technique that was created to be antithetical to it.

The Devil’s expression crumpled with primal aggression as the man leaped towards Rui with a tremendously high speed, surging towards him with extraordinary power. His fists crackled with power, seemingly bending the very fabric of space and time underneath their momentum.

“Rargh!” he snarled as he unleashed a powerful swing at Rui, threatening to blast his body to bits with the sheer potency of the attack he unleashed.

WHOOSH

It never even came close.

But it didn’t need to, as the Devil cleanly converted his striking power into yet another destructive wave of space and time.

This time, point blank.

And even though he had foreseen it coming this time too, he was simply too close to begin with.

Waves of space and time traveled at the speed of light, making it impossible for them to evade after they had been unleashed.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

“Rgh!” Rui gritted his teeth as he protected himself from the ensuing destruction. What was supposed to be a close-range blow turned into a long-range attack, ravaging his body as it washed over him.

SPLAT SPLAT SPLAT!!!

CRACK CRACK CRACK!

Wounds emerged across his body as his bones broke. Rui activated Weaving Blood in the blink of an eye; this time, the normal version was fueled by autophagy and the Gu poison within his body. CRACK CRACK CRACK!

Wounds emerged across his body as his bones broke. Rui activated Weaving Blood in the blink of an eye; this time, the normal version was fueled by autophagy and the Gu poison within his body. And yet, it was too slow.

WHOOSH

The Devil emerged before him with a blindingly high speed and a wild grin as his destructive fist flew down on Rui with tremendous power.

A single whisper escaped Rui.

“Breathing Crucifix.”

The Devil choked as his breathing technique crumbled while Rui surged towards him, leveraging the powerful opportunity to blast him with all the power he had. He used the Forge of Creation to enhance the Yin-Yang Spears with the power of the Scriptures of Terra, creating a powerful attack fueled by the seismic radiation of Mother Gaia.

“Yin-Yang World Spear.”

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!

A tremendous blow landed on the Devil’s diaphragm, crippling his breathing even further atop the powerful hypnosis. Rui’s eyes flared with powerful determination as he activated Hypertrophic Surge, enhanced by the Martial Soul, to unleash a myriad of attacks to ravage the Devil while he had the opportunity.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!

A flood of materia prima enhanced each attack as he ravaged Sage Damian with blow after blow after blow, each aimed at his vitals, while the balance in the battle began to crumble. The crucial opening of vulnerability caused by the surprise Breathing Crucifix had been exploited to a shocking degree of perfection.

With the Prophecy of the Void, it wasn’t spontaneous for Rui at all.

No, it was inevitable.

He saw the future.

He chose the future.

He used the fourth dimension to adaptively evolve to his opponents.

And yet, not even that was enough to take down the Devil.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!

CRACK CRACK CRACK!!!!!

Rui’s eyes widened with shock as his fist exploded upon contact with the Devil skin.

His bones cracked once more like twigs while his flesh crumpled.

He felt like his fist had been struck by a meteorite.

And yet, it was his fist that had served as the meteorite, having its own power utilized to destroy itself.

The Devil had long realized that destruction did not necessarily have to be fueled by him. It could be fueled by his opponent’s energy, and it was no different from if he fueled it himself. It had given birth to an entire philosophy of Martial Art techniques that allowed him to propagate even more destruction than he otherwise would have been able to by himself.

His mastery of it had reached such an absurd degree of smoothness that it was momentarily able to escape Rui’s prophecy and predictions, for it was hyper passive and didn’t require any active movements from him.

It was a passive, spontaneous defense mechanism that, while possible to actively control, had been conditioned and built into his cellular memory with the power of the Martial Soul over the span of a century.

Not even the Prophecy of the Void could allow it to be foreseen.

The shock from having his fist spontaneously explode upon contact gave him the briefest of windows of opportunity, for he knew that once Rui had seen it and was aware of it, it would never catch him off-guard ever again.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!

Rui gritted his teeth as a devastatingly destructive blow ravaged his guard, inflicting a tremendous amount of damage on his arms, while the Devil pushed himself to the very limit to build momentum off the shift in tables.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!

Rui gritted his teeth as the Devil unleashed a combination of short- and long-range destructive attacks that emerged from him, making it very difficult to leverage the previous strategies he had used to counter his destruction. Meanwhile, Sage Damian grinned wider and wider as he utilized his gamma radiation and antimatter attacks to inflict as much damage on Rui as possible, while also launching his tremendous waves of destruction of space and time.

His extraordinarily destructive fist flew towards, threatening to end the battle then and there.

WHOOSH

His eyes widened as his fist crashed into an empty image.

A feint.

A single whisper reached from beyond his awareness.

“I can see your SOUL.”

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!

Rui blasted him with a charged Flowing Canon Empowered by his Yin-Yang World Spear, ravaging even the Devil’s incredible defenses.
