Apocalypse Villainess? Nah, I'm Nice

In the hall, which was roughly sixty to seventy square meters, the furniture was sparse, with only three exquisite long couches and four or five chairs.

And in the very center...

As Paige Summers looked down, she saw a life-sized wooden horse in the upper right section of the area. A man was squatting by the horse’s legs, seemingly adjusting its height. Riding the horse was a naked woman... Although Paige didn’t look too closely, she saw the woman’s undulating curves and heard her stifled moans. And then she saw the bloodstains on the wooden horse’s back, dripping from the woman’s lower body. Paige quickly understood what it was—a sex toy!

That wasn’t all.

To the lower left of the wooden horse, another man in a uniform was whipping a completely naked woman who was bound in layers of rope. With a flick of his wrist, red welts appeared on the woman’s body, crisscrossing her full chest. The woman, in turn, let out gasps that sounded like a mixture of pain and pleasure.

This made Paige Summers turn her gaze away again.

Below these two groups, there was another man and woman on the floor. That scene... was even more obscene. But this time, Paige didn’t immediately look away. The woman, who was prostrated on the ground facing her, suddenly lifted her head, giving Paige a clear view.

That face... it was somewhat familiar!

Paige searched her memory and suddenly froze. This seemed to be the girl from the photo Nola had shown her, her missing friend—Lana Hughes!

’So... she isn’t dead...’

Paige Summers gritted her teeth.

But even though Lana Hughes was facing her now, her half-closed eyes were completely unfocused. Her expression wasn’t one of pain, but of pleasure—even ecstasy... She was clearly not in her right mind!

’Has she been drugged?!’

’If so, are the other two the same way?’

She couldn’t help but turn her head to look at the man who had walked about ten meters ahead and was now looking back, urging her to hurry. The veins on her forehead were practically bulging, impossible to suppress.

’What the hell is this place!’

That old monster from the Dudley Family wanted the blood of Superpower Users. She could accept his lair being dark and terrifying, but this... this was clearly a den of debauchery!

These Superpower Users should have been elite soldiers on the battlefield. Now, they’ve been reduced to this. It was a fate worse than death!

’Damn it! He deserves to die! That old pervert!’ She cursed wildly in her mind. Meanwhile, the middle-aged man was already very dissatisfied with her dawdling.

Paige Summers glared at him darkly and silently let out a breath.

’Soon. They’ll be free soon!’

She stopped paying attention to the bizarre scene below and quickened her pace to catch up with him.

The middle-aged man stared at her for a moment, intending to reprimand her. But in the end, seeing her ghastly appearance, he kept his mouth shut. ’This kind of woman clearly isn’t to the Master’s taste in *that* way. She must be intended as food... Oh, well. Why bother arguing with someone who’s about to die?’

Paige Summers wasn’t led into the hall she had just seen, but down a corridor to the side of it and into the innermost room.

It was a very spacious suite with an outer and inner room.

The furnishings inside were simple, as before. The living room area had only a sofa and a coffee table, while the inner room contained only a bed. However, this furniture wasn’t luxurious and exquisite like the pieces outside. It was surprisingly plain, even crude. It looked a bit like home decor from the 1940s or 50s in her original world.

Paige Summers frowned slightly.

The stark contrast between this room and the main hall only made it feel more bone-chilling.

”Get in.” The middle-aged man gave her a shove, ”sending” her from the doorway directly into the inner room.

Stepping past the footboard of the bed, Paige Summers looked over and saw that a man was lying on the simple wooden bed, which seemed almost too plain to be real.

The blanket was pulled up to his chin, revealing only his head.

The side of his face was turned toward Paige. His skin looked smooth, and he seemed quite young.

Not just young, but also handsome.

From her angle alone, she could see his long eyelashes, the high bridge of his nose, and his pale but well-defined lips. It was clear that this man was genuinely good-looking.

Paige Summers looked at him, puzzled, and was about to say something when the man, whose eyes had been closed a moment ago, suddenly opened them and looked at her. In that instant, she felt a fierce and piercing pressure rush toward her, like a giant, materialized awl stabbing at her eyes.

Fortunately, every cell in Paige Summers’ body was on high alert here. Her first reaction was to use all her strength to suppress her instinct to fight back, pretending to be startled as she stumbled a few steps backward...

It wasn’t entirely a pretense, however.

The man’s oppressive aura made her extremely uncomfortable; her limbs had indeed gone a little weak. Her instincts had flared up just a little, and by stepping back, she had conveniently moved out of the range of his pressure.

’In a place like this, I hate being in a state where I can’t fight back. The plan must proceed, but my life comes first.’

The man’s eyes flickered. A half-smile slowly formed on his face as he propped himself up, leaning lazily against the headboard. ”You... not bad. To think you recovered your superpower in such a short time...”

Paige Summers bit her lower lip, her face a mask of defiance, but inwardly she gasped.

’That oppressive feeling... There’s no mistaking it! This guy is the old scum of the Dudley Family, the Tenth Rank Superpower User!’

’But can someone please tell me why his face is so young! Marcus Monroe did say he consumes blood to maintain his youth, but I thought that just meant he aged a bit slower!’

’I never imagined he’d actually retained his youth!’

’At most, this face looks no older than thirty, but he himself has to be at least seventy!’

’How bizarre and terrifying!’

”That’s right, I have recovered! So don’t even think about trying anything!” she snapped.

The middle-aged man in the outer room spoke up, ”Master...” It seemed he was asking for instructions on how to handle prey that had recovered its superpower.

But Silas Dudley said, ”It’s fine. She can’t stir up any real trouble. You can go for now. I want to have a little chat with this little hedgehog alone.”

Hearing the two of them converse as if she weren’t there, Paige Summers struggled to keep the corner of her mouth from twitching.

’Little hedgehog... my ass!’

’This old monster really is a Tenth Rank Superpower User. He saw through my act so quickly...’

’I need to be doubly careful!’

The middle-aged man really did leave, leaving only Silas Dudley and Paige Summers in the suite.

Silas Dudley suddenly smiled at her and said gently, ”Come here and sit down.”

Paige Summers didn’t move.

His all-knowing tone gave her a bad feeling... Sure enough, seeing her disobedience, Silas Dudley first narrowed his eyes, then a smile that felt as warm as a spring breeze spread across his handsome face. ”What should I call you? Paige Summers? Paige? Or maybe Vice-Captain Sterling of Bloodfall? Or perhaps Master Summers of Summers Armaments? Which one do you prefer, hmm?”
