Fated to My Billionaire Husband

Chapter 1592: Chapter 1592: You’re Willing to Come See Me Now?

Severe illness paired with a high fever—this is a grave matter.

Ruan Tianling stayed by Jian Yufei’s side all night, not daring to sleep as he kept tending to her, afraid that something might go wrong.

After a long night, her fever finally subsided, and she passed the danger zone.

The doctor said she could recuperate at home, so Ruan Tianling took her back to their residence while she was still unconscious.

”When will Mommy wake up?” Ansel, sitting by the bedside, asked quizzically.

Ruan Tianling replied, ”She’s too exhausted. Once she’s had enough rest, she’ll wake up.”

”Daddy, you should go and rest. Your eyes are all red,” Ansel said, looking at him with concern.

Ruan Tianling hadn’t slept all night. In the past, pulling an all-nighter wouldn’t have been an issue for him.

But his body was a bit weak now, and coupled with the constant worry over Jian Yufei’s illness, he had expended a lot of energy. That’s why his eyes were bloodshot.

Ruan Tianling smiled and said, ”I’m fine. I heard you didn’t rest well either. Look at you—your face lacks energy. Go and take a break. If Daddy gets tired, I’ll lay down next to Mommy and rest for a while.”

”Alright.” Ansel obediently left, careful not to disturb his parents.

As he walked out of the room and headed downstairs, he overheard a bodyguard speaking to Mo Lan.

”Miss Mo, Qi Ruigang has been clamoring to see you. At this moment, I don’t dare disturb the Boss, so I came to ask for your opinion.”

Mo Lan avoided Qi Ruigang like the plague.

She was on the verge of refusing when Ansel strode down the stairs, his expression cold. ”I’ll go see him!”

Mo Lan looked at him in astonishment. ”Junchen, why would you want to meet him?”

”Aunt Mo Lan, he nearly killed my parents. I’m going to settle the score with him!”

”No, you can’t. Stay away from him. He’s dangerous—be careful he doesn’t hurt you,” Mo Lan said, shaking her head in firm opposition.

Ansel showed no fear. ”Aunt Mo Lan, don’t worry. Nothing will happen to me!”

”Take me to see him!” he demanded, his voice resolute as he spoke to the bodyguard.

The bodyguard didn’t dare disobey his order. Moreover, Qi Ruigang was immobilized and couldn’t harm Ansel. Thus, the bodyguard didn’t refuse.

Unwilling to let a child like Ansel face Qi Ruigang alone, Mo Lan decided to accompany him.

Qi Ruigang was not only sedated but also bound.

He had been dumped on a bed, his limbs tied in a spread-eagle position, utterly disheveled.

Upon hearing the sound of the door opening, he turned his head. His gaze brushed past everyone else and landed darkly, threateningly, on Mo Lan.

As soon as Mo Lan met his ominous, beast-like stare, fear gripped her, and she instinctively wanted to flee.

However, she summoned her courage and entered the room alongside Ansel.

”So, you’ve finally deigned to come see me?” Qi Ruigang sneered at her.

What did he mean by ”deigned”?

Mo Lan responded coolly, ”I’m not here to see you. Junchen wanted to meet you, and I was worried he might be in danger. That’s why I came along.”

Qi Ruigang’s gaze shifted to the small-framed Ansel.

He gave him a disdainful glance, clearly not taking the kid seriously.

”What now? Ruan Tianling and Nangong Yufei are dying?” he mocked.

If his parents weren’t in trouble, this kid wouldn’t be staring at him with such hatred in his eyes.

Ansel sneered back, exuding an imposing presence. ”If my parents were dead, do you think you’d still be comfortably lying here? I’d make sure your flesh was sliced off piece by piece. You’d wish for death but could never achieve it. Then I’d leave your body out under the blazing sun, let it rot and fester, and you’d die covered in maggots!”
