Fated to My Billionaire Husband

Chapter 1583: Chapter 1583: The Biggest Leopard is AAA

Jian Yufei cautiously flipped over her hole cards. One Ace... Two Aces...

Her heart was pounding. If she got one more Ace, she’d have three of a kind—three of a kind is the biggest hand!

”Mommy, have you finished looking? Want to follow?” Ansel asked her.

He and Ruan Tianling didn’t even glance at their cards, calmly sitting there.

”Wait a moment.” Jian Yufei’s emotions were running high. She gritted her teeth and picked up the third card.

Another Ace—

Jian Yufei almost burst out laughing.

Three of a kind is the biggest, and the biggest three of a kind is AAA—

Jian Yufei had just drawn the best possible hand!

Holding back the smile tugging at the corners of her lips, she pretended to hesitate and said, ”I’ll follow.”

Anyone who’s seen their cards has to bet double the ante to follow.

They were using coins as chips.

Jian Yufei decided to compare cards with Ruan Tianling first.

Ruan Tianling didn’t even look at his cards, casually tossing in his bets.

Every time, Jian Yufei acted like she was gritting her teeth and reluctantly following, never letting on that she had the winning hand.

Ruan Tianling flashed a sly gaze at her. He’d already tossed in a sizeable number of bets.

”Are you still going to follow?” Ruan Tianling glanced at the pile of bets and asked her.

His look seemed to warn her—if her cards weren’t good, she should quit already to avoid losing too badly.

Jian Yufei gritted her teeth and said, ”Follow!”

Of course she’d follow—who could beat a hand this strong?

She thought Ruan Tianling would keep following, but he suddenly flipped over his cards for a glance and threw them aside.

”I fold,” he said with a smirk.

Jian Yufei felt a bit disappointed. He just folded, and she couldn’t squeeze a bit more out of him.

But he had already tossed in over a dozen coins—enough for her to flick him a dozen times!

”Ansel, what about you? Are you following?” Jian Yufei turned to Ansel next.

Ansel wasn’t naive; earlier, whenever Mommy played against him, she’d fold quite easily.

This time, for her to stick it out this long, her cards had to be strong.

”I’ll decide after looking,” Ansel said, picking up his cards. It was a pair—not very big.

”I fold.” He laughed, tossing his cards aside and backing out.

Only then did Jian Yufei burst into laughter. ”Sweetheart, you’re so smart!”

”Mommy, was your hand amazing?”

”Of course!” Jian Yufei revealed her cards—three Aces.

Ansel let out an amazed sound. ”Wow, Mommy, your luck is incredible!”

Ruan Tianling nodded in agreement. ”Your luck really is amazing.”

”Whenever you’re around, my luck gets better—it’s like fate telling me I’m meant to flick you!” Jian Yufei grabbed Ruan Tianling by the collar and pressed her thumb and forefinger together, giving him a hard flick on the forehead.

Ruan Tianling winced and glared at her. ”Jian Yufei, can’t you go lighter?”

”Didn’t you say your forehead is tough and you don’t mind being flicked? Just one flick and you’re complaining already?”

”If you flick this hard, even the toughest forehead can’t take it.”

Jian Yufei’s gaze sparkled. ”I could flick you twelve times... How about this: I’ll only flick you six times, and Ansel can do the other six. Sound good?”

”Give them to him?”

Jian Yufei nodded. ”I flick really hard, but Ansel is just a kid; he doesn’t have much strength.”

Ruan Tianling eyed Ansel suspiciously.

Jian Yufei pointed at her own forehead. ”Look, he flicked me so many times, and my forehead is perfectly fine.”

”Mommy, you should flick him yourself; don’t let him off too easily,” Ansel chimed in supportively.

Ruan Tianling hurriedly nodded, worried all the flicks would come from Jian Yufei. ”Fine, let him do six of them.”

Jian Yufei and Ansel exchanged a knowing smile. In unison, they said, ”You said it yourself!”
