Fated to My Billionaire Husband

Chapter 1385: Chapter 1385: Treat This as a Will

”Even if it’s just acting, you should keep it convincing. Besides, we are both fine. I’ll take you out to unwind and help you familiarize yourself with the environment.”

Jian Yufei also thought that she should familiarize herself with London if she intended to live here, as it was essential to understand the place.

Otherwise, she would get lost when she was out alone.

She didn’t object and agreed to Qi Ruisen’s suggestion.

After eating, Qi Ruisen personally drove her, followed naturally by several bodyguard vehicles.

On the way, Qi Ruisen handed her a stack of documents.

”This will help you. Take a look.”

”What is this?”

Jian Yufei flipped through it and found a map of London City and a list of common English phrases.

It even included the phone numbers of people she knew.

Nangong Wenxiang’s, Nangong Xu’s, Hardy’s, Brown’s, Qi Ruigang’s, the old master of the Qi Family Qi Zhenhua’s, and even Mo Lan’s.

Jian Yufei took out her mobile phone and saved these numbers...

After saving them, Qi Ruisen turned to her and said, ”Burn them.”

”Oh, okay.” These numbers were of important people and could not be leaked lightly.

Jian Yufei took the lighter he handed her, lit the papers, and then rolled down the car window to stretch out her hand.

She only threw them away when the papers were almost entirely burnt.

”Thank you, this information is really useful to me,” Jian Yufei said gratefully with a smile.

Qi Ruisen’s lips curved up, ”If you need any information in the future, just ask me.”

Jian Yufei recalled the topic she and Ruan Tianling had discussed the night before.

”I’m curious, since you want to oppose your elder brother, why not take action secretly?” she tentatively asked.

Qi Ruisen’s gaze darkened slightly as he smiled faintly, ”If you can think of this, he can definitely think of it too.”

”What do you mean? Does he also plan to eliminate you secretly?!”

”Yes!” Qi Ruisen nodded, ”My father once said that the family estate would be divided equally among the three brothers. Not long after he said that, my second brother died unexpectedly.”

Jian Yufei was shocked; it was clearly a murder for the inheritance.

”Was it your elder brother who did it?”

Qi Ruisen looked at her and asked with a smile, ”Why don’t you suspect me?”

”You’re not that kind of person.”

”Thank you for trusting me,” Qi Ruisen said sincerely, his smile fading.

Jian Yufei smiled awkwardly, ”Now that we are allies, of course we must trust each other.”

Qi Ruisen looked at her with a complex expression, thinking maybe she was worth trusting.

”Yes, it was my elder brother, but there’s no evidence.”

”What then?”

”My father wasn’t sure who did it, and since we are all his sons, he didn’t want another accident, so he came up with a solution.”

”What solution?”

”Although the Qi Family’s business is currently managed by my elder brother, the shares are still tightly held by my father. He set a rule that within twenty years, if either my elder brother or I died unexpectedly, half of the Qi Family’s fortune would be donated to society as a contribution. If after twenty years, we are both still alive, he will hand over the business to one of us to manage, and the other will only receive a substantial deposit. He didn’t just say this casually; he made it a will with legal effects.”

”Is that why your elder brother doesn’t take action against you?”

”That’s right, if I died, he would only get half of the estate. Half of the Qi Family’s fortune being donated would quickly lead to its decline.”
