She Lives without Regret in This Life

”Of course not, I have Auntie’s phone number.” Lin En said, then quickly ran up to the Duke on his little legs, ”Daddy, help me call Auntie.”

”Your Auntie is extremely busy and has no time.” The Duke of Westminster knew well that Sheng Ning was currently amidst the chaos at the Feng Family, and he did not want to disturb her over a minor issue at such a time.

So he stood up, scooped up his son in his arms, and looked down at Liu Yilan, saying, ”Sheng Ning is indeed not dead. Maybe the mainland people forgot to inform you, or maybe you are just out of the loop.” Having said that, he signaled to his bodyguard, who brought over paper and a pen quickly.

Holding his son with one hand, he swiftly wrote down a series of addresses and phone numbers with the other.

”Go to this address to find the person.” He said, then left with his son.

Unwilling to give up, Lin En clung to the Duke’s shoulder and shouted, ”Auntie, remember to bring the gift to my wife for me!” Before he could finish speaking, the Duke lightly patted his small bum.

”Lin En, as a noble gentleman, how can you call someone your wife without the lady’s consent?”

”Then what should I call her?”

The Duke thought for a moment, ”Of course, you should call her ’Lady,’ which is more fitting for your status.”

”Oh! Then she is my Lady.”

The bodyguard following beside them felt utterly speechless, thinking, ”Duke, you might have gone the wrong way here. Shouldn’t you mean to prevent the young master from constantly calling her his wife?”

How did it turn into calling her ’Lady’? Now the young master is going to keep saying ’my Lady, my Lady’ all the time!

The bodyguard couldn’t help but feel a headache at the thought of the housekeeper Amber’s possible reaction when they got back. He just hoped that the housekeeper wouldn’t blame him. He was really innocent and dared not to correct the Duke!

Upon coming out of the VIP box, the mentor was still waiting in the rest area and happily approached Liu Yilan upon seeing her.

”How did it go? Did you meet the Duke? Did you discuss topics on music and violin?”

Liu Yilan shook her head.

The mentor felt a bit disappointed but was still pleased thinking about her student being hosted by the Duke of Westminster. ”What does the Duke look like? Is he really ugly or very handsome?”

Since the Duke never appears in public and no photos have ever surfaced, many people speculate in private that the Duke must be hideously ugly.

Otherwise, why would he never be seen?

”Extremely, extremely, extremely handsome.” Liu Yilan used three ’extremely’.

”Hahaha... I knew the Duke couldn’t be ugly; his grandmother was a famous Spanish Princess, how could he be ugly?” This is an honest child, never inclined to lie; if she said he was handsome, he must be exceedingly handsome.

”How does he compare to the talents at our school?”

Liu Yilan didn’t expect her mentor to still have such a youthful heart.

”Oh? Is this Barbie doll a limited edition? Could it be a gift from the Duke?” The mentor finally noticed the Barbie doll Liu Yilan was holding.

”No, it was given by the Duke’s young lord for me to pass on.” Liu Yilan carefully placed the Barbie doll back into the box and changed the topic, saying, ”Mentor, I have decided to accept your suggestion to perform at the Lincoln Art Center in the U.S.”

”That’s wonderful, that’s wonderful! How many performances will you be giving? How about three shows? No more than that.”

”One show, just one is enough for me. I’m mainly going to visit friends on this trip.” She finally smiled a calm smile, but hidden beneath her composed look was an unstoppable excitement.
