She Lives without Regret in This Life

”The things are here.”

”Where is she?”

”She went out for something, said she won’t be back tonight.”

”Good!”

Sheng Ning handed the keys and name tag to Demira, ”Here’s everything for you. Tomorrow, I’ll transfer an initial sum to you. From now on, the theater’s management, operations, and promotions are all in your hands. As for me, my focus is on the dance drama and performance.”

”You perform?” Demira really didn’t expect this beautiful and exquisite woman in front of her to be in the same profession.

When they first met, she didn’t pay much attention to Sheng Ning, or rather, she looked down on her. Always thought she was a rich girl doing this purely out of boredom.

Just squandering money.

Sheng Ning executed a high-level dance spin, a full three hundred and sixty degrees, as light as a swallow. The expression on her face as she danced was mesmerizing, as if she was born to dance and the stage inherently belonged to her.

Wherever she is, that’s where the stage is.

The place she stands should be where the spotlight gathers.

Demira was dumbfounded, her interest and profession destined her with a keen ability to judge character. When she witnessed everything Sheng Ning showcased, she couldn’t help but feel her blood boil.

This was simply a natural talent, aside from talent, she really couldn’t think of a better compliment.

And she was so beautiful, especially when dancing, even a woman would feel her heart skip a beat.

”Good... really good.” She couldn’t help but applaud, expressing her fascinated admiration.

”Sister is amazing.” An’an also joined in clapping. Although she didn’t understand the appreciation, for An’an, complex data, formulas, and bewildering research projects were more captivating.

Sheng Ning stopped and said proudly, ”I’m already a married woman who has had children, seems like I’m not as agile as before.”

”I think your former teacher must be very troubled by your having children.”

”Hahaha...”

Both exchanged smiles, only those with similar interests can understand each other and understand the meaning in Demira’s words.

After Demira left with the keys, An’an held onto Sheng Ning’s sleeve, hesitating to speak.

”What’s wrong?” Sheng Ning suddenly had a foreboding feeling.

”Don’t rush, let’s sit down and talk slowly.”

The first floor was the theater’s lobby, with many elegant booth seats. The two casually found a spot by the window. This meeting, the sisters hadn’t really had a chance to talk openly, there were always various matters. Often busy taking care of two kids, she ended up neglecting An’an.

”An’an, I am sorry!”

”Why say sorry to me?” An’an was surprised, ”Did you do something to wrong me? Or are you abandoning me?”

”... Should she say An’an has been influenced by spending too much time with the Little Hooligan?”

”An’an, I can’t return home yet, but you should go back first! This way, I can be at ease.” Sheng Ning had been considering this. Keeping An’an in M country was indeed too dangerous.

Presumably, Hai Yunfeng might be close to panic back home?

”And I can’t rest easy with just our parents at home. They must be worried about us too; both of them are elderly and shouldn’t always live in fear.”

Thinking about this, Sheng Ning felt she was quite filial.

”And what about you? When can you come back?”

”Before the Lunar New Year.” Sheng Ning had already planned it, there were two months left until the Spring Festival, and by then the initial matters of the theater should be sorted.

By then she could have a word with granduncle and should be able to go back for New Year’s.
