She Lives without Regret in This Life

”Are you willing to be an ordinary employee?”

”I am willing, very willing.”

”The salary is thirty dollars a month, responsible initially for recruitment, training, and personnel management.”

Demira’s eyes widened in surprise, ”Thirty dollars? So much?” The figure shocked her; even when she was a manager before, she never received such a high salary.

”Yes.”

”Great, thank you so much, thank you...” Demira excitedly grabbed Sheng Ning’s hand, tears even greeting her in her eyes.

”You’re welcome, you can officially start working tomorrow!” Sheng Ning secretly smiled in her heart. Actually, at the first glance she had of Demira, she knew the other would be a big name in the future.

In her previous life, she was very isolated due to being in prison, not knowing many things. However, because of her love for dance, she always kept up with news of Broadway, the world’s art palace.

Among them, Demira is well-known.

”I hope we can work happily together in the future.” She had previously worked for Daives, and in fact, Victoria Theater belonged to the Westminster Family.

But she wanted to buy this theater.

She had no interest in the Feng Family and was more interested in this theater. She hoped tonight’s meeting with the Duke would go smoothly.

”I will work hard, I definitely will.” Demira couldn’t hide her excitement, and it took her half a day to realize what Sheng Ning wanted her to be responsible for.

Training, personnel management... aren’t those things a manager should do?

It wasn’t supposed to be ordinary work, was it?

She looked at Sheng Ning incredulously, as if afraid she had misheard.

”It’s true! You are very outstanding; I knew from the first glance I saw you that you would be the best theater manager.” She said sincerely.

”Thank you.” A radiant glow burst from Demira’s eyes, confidently saying, ”Don’t worry, I definitely won’t disappoint you. Even if the theater collapses now, I will work hard to make it shine brightly.”

She was really too excited; it felt like this was a good fortune falling from the sky. She must have accumulated a lifetime to encounter such good things — the boss’s trust, a lucrative treatment, and most importantly, she could finally showcase her talents on Broadway.

Demira was too thrilled; her mind was filled with many plans. She couldn’t wait to fill Victoria Theater with guests now.

”I have many plans. The biggest reason we failed before and closed was the lack of our own musical theater productions, this was a fatal flaw...” She rambled on about many things.

Moreover, many ideas coincided with Sheng Ning; if it weren’t for not having their own musical theater, she wouldn’t have painstakingly written scripts, choreographed, or asked Mary for help in finding musicians to compose.

”I know, I know.” Sheng Ning interrupted her with a smile, ”I’ve considered all these. After I finish today’s business, I think we can have a long conversation overnight.”

”Alright!”

”Then you should go and rest well, replenish your energy, and we’ll start tomorrow, how about that?” This was something she was interested in; at the moment, her eyes were shining, eager to perform immediately.

”Alright!”

”I asked a friend to set up an apartment next door for you; this apartment can serve as staff accommodation! She’ll accompany you later.”

”Sis, sis!” The always quiet An’an interrupted, ”Sister Gu Yunbo has returned, heard the house is rented.” Saying this, she took out a bunch of keys and a delicate door plate from her pocket.
