She Lives without Regret in This Life

When you can’t even fill your stomach and are about to starve, the position doesn’t matter anymore.

If she can’t get hired here, she really can only become a strip dancer. It’s the last thing she wants to do, although her figure is indeed suited for it.

Lin En looked her up and down and recognized her. Last time, his aunt said that she would definitely return. Didn’t expect it to really happen; his aunt was truly amazing.

The little guy had even more admiration for Sheng Ning in his heart.

”I know you!” he said, trying to be serious.

Demira flashed a charming smile; she couldn’t keep a straight face in front of such an adorable boy. ”Thank you for remembering me, little angel.”

”Come in! My aunt went to a party and I don’t know when she’ll be back.”

”You... can you take me in first?” Demira said excitedly. God knows she’s been sleeping on the streets for a week, but it’s too unsafe for a woman to do so, making her anxious every day.

”Yes! You’re probably hungry, aren’t you?” He just heard her stomach growl again. It used to be like this when he was hungry.

”Mm-hmm...” Demira didn’t care about being embarrassed anymore.

”Please come in!”

”Thank you, little angel.” As she walked down the path Little Lin En opened up for her, the outside light shone in just right onto Lin En’s face. She exclaimed, ”Oh my God! Are you the boy from the Time magazine?”

Lin En felt a bit embarrassed from her exclamation.

”You... you look even better in person than in the papers. I don’t understand why the theater, with this ready-made resource, is still closed?”

Lin En didn’t like hearing her say ”closed,” and his little face tightened up. ”The resources of our theater are far more than you imagine. The reason we haven’t opened yet is that we plan to make a grand impact when we do. My aunt wants it to be world-famous.”

With just a few words, Demira felt a surge of excitement. Perhaps her forced choice was the right one.

Maybe this theater really could bring her glory.

As they stood talking by the door, an Aston Martin quietly stopped across the street, getting a clear view of Lin En.

Inside the car, Amber was tearfully excited.

”It’s the young master, it really is the young master.” His young master was so adorable and noble, just like the Duke when he was young.

No... even cuter than the young Duke.

”I must say, the way your nephew purses his lips is very much like you when you were little,” Beiate agreed.

The Duke, looking at the young boy up close, seemed to hear the blood in his veins. This was his son, his own son. For four years, he had not known that he had a son far away in M Country, who had grown this much.

Four years ago, he had come to M Country, gotten drunk in the Broadway Theatre, and woke up to find himself with a prostitute. Originally, he intended to kill the woman, but seeing her sleeping made him change his mind.

This was a huge mistake, a stain on the noble and proud Duke of Westminster that he never wanted to mention. After returning, he had not thought about it again until he saw that newspaper.

He looked at the boy in front of him, his lips curling into a gentle smile.
