She Lives without Regret in This Life

Capítulo 930: Chapter 976: Looking for Someone at the University

In the afternoon, after An’an returned to rest with Zhao Lanzi and the others, Sheng Ning took a car to National Security University by herself. Looking at the majestic and grand gates, her eyes were filled with envy and anticipation.

It wasn’t that she anticipated studying here herself, but she hoped that one day An’an could study here.

Yes! She decided that when An’an took the university entrance exam, she would guide her to choose this school. With Chen Huaying and Su Huai’an here to support her, Sheng Ning felt much more at ease.

At this time, Sheng Ning had no idea that there were not only people to support An’an at National Security University but also those eagerly eyeing her. When she realized it afterwards, she deeply regretted it!

“Hello Comrade, the school doesn’t allow outsiders to enter or exit.”

The school was so majestic that even the guards at the gate were armed special police. As soon as Sheng Ning approached, she was directly warned.

“Hello Comrade, I’m a visitor, here to meet someone.”

“Who are you looking for?” A man in formal attire came out of the gate and, seeing Sheng Ning, a hint of confusion flashed across his face. “Comrade, have we met before?”

“No!” Sheng Ning shook her head firmly.

The man felt a bit embarrassed too, scratching his head, “Strange, I feel like I’ve seen you before.”

“Oh!” Sheng Ning suddenly realized and remembered that the organizer of the newspaper was a top student from National Security University. Many of the reporters and writers were teachers and students from the school.

Every issue of the newspaper was contributed by the school.

“Comrade, I am from the General Union Dance Troupe. You probably saw me in the newspaper.”

The man slapped his head in excitement, almost jumping in place. The previously serious comrade suddenly appeared like a fan boy chasing a star from later generations. “You look even better than in the photo, no wonder I didn’t recognize you just now.”

“By the way, you’re here to meet someone, right? Who are you looking for? Please register first.” The fan boy, busy with his admiration, didn’t forget to perform his duties.

Sheng Ning entered the gate, wrote her name and her identity as a member of the General Union on the register, then wrote down Su Huai’an’s name.

“Comrade Sheng Ning, so you’re here to meet Professor Su.”

“Is it common for people to come looking for Professor Su?” Sheng Ning guessed from his tone.

“Yes! Professor Su is the most popular professor at our school, even female colleagues from the neighboring Qianjin Song and Dance Troupe often come looking for him. Professor Su personally told us that if a woman comes looking for him, he won’t meet them.”

Sheng Ning always suspected that this cousin was popular, but she didn’t expect him to be this popular.

In the 1980s, people’s mindsets were still somewhat conservative, and women weren’t too bold in pursuing men. If this were in the future, many might try to climb over the walls every day.

“Professor Su is my cousin; his grandfather is my maternal grandfather.”

“No wonder you have such fine handwriting; I’ll take you there.” The man said admiringly.

Sheng Ning followed him into the school, her vision dazzled by all she saw, feeling incredibly excited. National Security University had a rigorous academic atmosphere, students everywhere were holding books.

Because it was National Security University, the number and range of training facilities and shooting ranges along the way were even more than those of their General Union. Some setups were even unfamiliar to her.

The school was enormous, and anyone unfamiliar was bound to get lost upon entering.

The two of them walked all the way to the senior teaching area. Today, Su Huai’an’s lecture was on international campaign analysis for the Advanced Command System. Sheng Ning reached the classroom door, and saw it was filled with people, all listening intently to the lecture.
