Immortality begins with Becoming an Alchemy Grandmaster

Chapter 588: Chapter 248: The Third Brother is Dying, Breakthrough, Third Level Foundation Establishment_1

Atop Danxia Peak.

During the time the Pill Hall cultivator was preparing materials, Luo Chen summoned Sima Huiniang to inquire about the current situation.

It was as he had expected.

The Rolling Dragon Ridge Zheng Family had indeed changed their usual lax attitude.

Recently, they had become more active than ever.

First off, they had increased their elixir output, which was accompanied by a small amount of Ascendant Grade Fire Fleece Pills. These pills had potent medicinal abilities, the Ascendant Grade pills were 30% more potent than Jade Marrow Pills.

Secondly, the cultivators of Zheng’s Pill Shop had received special training, becoming more enthusiastic and proactive.

Although they were not as good as the female cultivators from the Luo Tian Creed Gold Hall, they were undoubtedly changing.

Moreover, the Zheng Family had opened a new shop outside of the Rolling Dragon Ridge and Immortal City, with personnel stationed there round the clock.

Lastly, they had lowered prices!

They had directly reduced the price of a bottle of Fire Fleece Pills from one hundred spirit stones to ninety lower grade ones.

Even the precious Ascendant Grade Fire Fleece Pills were only sold for one hundred and fifty.

Such actions indicated the Zheng Family’s substantial response and their firm determination.

“They’re not just aiming to regain their original market share, they’re also attempting to expand it based on the current foundation!” Luo Chen stated with a cheery laugh.

Sima Huiniang voiced her worries, “President, won’t our development momentum be impacted by this?”

“Yes, it will be impacted somewhat.”

“Should we then take some countermeasures?”

“No need, we’ll just wait and see.”

Seeing that Sima Huiniang was still worried, Luo Chen smiled and shook his head.

“There’s no need to worry too much. Our development speed might slow down a bit, but we are still progressing.”

“You must remember that our Jade Marrow Pills have a low production cost, high output, and a retail price that’s lower than the Fire Fleece Pills.”

“Even if the Zheng Family lowers their prices, it won’t pose a threat to us.”

Sima Huiniang finally understood.

However, she soon expressed confusion again.

“What’s the point of them doing this then?”

“The point?” Luo Chen’s lips curled upwards slightly, “If they can’t defeat us, then of course they’ll aim to defeat others!”

Sima Huiniang listened with surprise.

Other people?

…

Dan Yuan Sect.

Two hundred years ago, a Foundation Establishment Stage rogue cultivator, struggling to gather cultivation resources, utilized his good connections as a pill refiner to establish this sect.

He admitted dozens of low-order Qi Refinement Stage rogue cultivators and nurtured them bit by bit, letting these disciples collect medicinal herbs, sell elixirs, and earn cultivation resources for him.

Unfortunately, due to his talent and lifespan, he was unsuccessful in achieving core formation.

After his passing, the Dan Yuan Sect didn’t disband.

During his elder years, he had accepted a disciple who had inherited his pill refinement technique.

After successfully advancing to the Foundation Establishment Stage, the Dan Yuan Sect managed to survive.

Now, this power has increasingly started to operate like a real sect, with internal heritage, master-disciple relationships, carefully cultivated spirit fields…

Of course, their main business was always the elixir trade.

But recently, due to the onslaught from the Luo Tian Creed, their elixir business had taken a turn for the worse.

“Sect leader, sect leader!”

“Good news!”

As the Dan Yuan Sect leader exited his Immortal Mansion, he looked at his disciple with puzzlement.

“What news has got you so agitated?”

The disciple was brimming with excitement, “They’ve started fighting, they’re fighting!”

“Who started fighting? Explain clearly.” The Dan Yuan Sect leader said with a frown.

Once the disciple had caught his breath, he said: “It’s the Zheng Family from Rolling Dragon Ridge and that damned Luo Tian Creed!”

“Hmm?”

“The Zheng Family has slashed their elixir prices across the board!”

“What!”

“And it’s not just that. The Zheng Family has copied every one of the Luo Tian Creed’s moves perfectly, and is now implementing them all. It looks like they intend to duel the Luo Tian Creed to death!”

The face of the Dan Yuan Sect leader lit up.

He paced back and forth in front of his Immortal Mansion.

Clapping his hands together, he said “Good!” with a determined tone.

“This Luo Tian Creed, they have absolutely no regard for rules. Despite their elixirs being of such good quality, they still sell them so cheaply. They deserved to be harshly subdued!”

“Our Dan Yuan Sect is too weak, we can’t afford to compete with them.”

“But the Rolling Dragon Ridge Zheng Family is different, they have deep roots and a profound background. With their intervention, they can drain the Luo Tian Creed to death with their vast resources.”

“This really is great news!”

…

The businesses involved in selling low-order cultivation elixirs were not just the Zheng Family and Dan Yuan Sect.

In Tian Lan Immortal City, excluding the Great Sects, there were still six or seven other groups.

The regularly stationed powers included the Hu Family and Li Family.

The other three were Immortal Cultivation Clans from slightly farther out markets.

They quickly learned about the Zheng Family’s movements too.

Throughout the past year, everyone had suffered at the hands of the Luo Tian Creed.

But unfortunately, the cost of making elixirs was high for every family, hence they couldn’t easily lower prices.

Now, the Zheng Family had personally taken action, not only starting a price war but also directly competing with the Luo Tian Creed in other areas.

In their view, a rogue cultivator group from some remote little place couldn’t possibly hold out for long.

Once the Zheng Family emerges victorious,

Everything will return to the proper track!

Everyone eagerly anticipated the arrival of that day.

Not only were those involved in pill refinement and pill sales concerned about this smokeless war.

The low-tier rogue cultivators also paid great attention.

After all, this was related to their cultivation resources!

“Have you seen the people frenziedly distributing flyers at the crossroads?”

“They’re all cultivators from Luo Tian Creed and Zheng Family, they’re itching to get as many passersby as they can to visit their shop.”

“I heard that the effectiveness of the Luo Tian Creed’s Jade Marrow Pills is even on par with the Medicine King Sect’s Qi Nurturing Pills.”
