Immortality begins with Becoming an Alchemy Grandmaster

Chapter 552: Chapter 234: Rising Dragon Pill, Cultivation speed doubled!_1

Twenty days later.

Luo Chen sat alone in the quiet room, gazing at the attribute panel, deep in thought.

[Foundation Building Second Layer 26/100]

They had crossed a full two steps of progress.

This was not solely due to the Qi Unifying Pill; for the last nine days, he had switched to the Rising Dragon Pill.

“Without the use of any elixir before, relying solely on my cultivation, enhanced by the Second Order Lower Grade Immortal Mansion, I managed to raise 22 progress bars in a year.”

“So roughly speaking, two steps of progress in forty days.”

“Presently, with the addition of a Second Rank elixir, my cultivation speed is precisely doubled.”

“If I don’t encounter any mishaps along the way, I will need about a thousand years to reach Foundation Establishment Stage Finalization.”

Reaching this conclusion.

Made Luo Chen both happy and disappointed.

What made him happy was that he indeed had ways to improve his cultivation speed.

The disappointing aspect was the scale of the improvement, It was barely anything.

Doubled?

For those extremely talented prodigies, this was already a huge improvement.

But for him, this was far from enough.

With a sigh.

Luo Chen hid his disappointment and managed to boost his spirits.

“At least, I’ve seen hope!”

Double the cultivation speed, it’s quite a lot already.

Furthermore, he still had a lot of room for improvement.

Right now, he was more concerned with the effects of the two herbs.

“The Qi Unifying Pill, as expected of a specialty product of the Medicine King Sect, it’s acutely balanced in medicine power and doesn’t have much Pill Poison. Its only downside is that the medicinal power it provides after metabolisation is slightly inferior to the Rising Dragon Pill.”

This judgement was not made by feeling.

It was drawn from the comparison made during his twenty days of cultivation.

It took a full eleven days to make the first progress.

He was using Qi Unifying Pills.

Eleven days later, Luo Chen voluntarily switched to Rising Dragon Pills.

This time, it took approximately nine days.

It is evident that the Qi Unifying Pill is slightly less effective than the Rising Dragon Pill in converting medicinal power into Spirit Qi.

“As the main product of Qingdan Valley’s second rank elixirs, the advantage of the Rising Dragon Pill* is its immense medicinal power.”

“But the shortcomings are equally prominent!”

“The medicinal power is too great, and the transportation process causes significant damage to the meridians. It demands high control from the cultivator, and it seems to produce more Pill Poison.”

After comparing the two, this was the conclusion.

Honestly, Luo Chen was not surprised.

The Medicine King Sect could stand in the Immortal Cultivation World for nearly a thousand years, relying on its prudence!

The orthodox cultivation elixirs they produce, while maintaining the basic effects, do not harm the cultivator’s body.

Qingdan Valley’s inheritance is just a few hundred years.

Now capable of standing its ground in Yu Ding Realm, it owes it to its courage and determination to innovate.

Therefore, while the medicinal power of the Rising Dragon Pill is excellent, its side effects are also very obvious.

Any sane cultivator would choose the Qi Unifying Pill.

But in reality, in the Immortal Cultivation World, there will always be those eager for progress or those who are pressed by limited lifespan, who would choose the Rising Dragon Pill.

Luo Chen is one of the latter!

He has no intentions of using the Qi Unifying Pill.

Instead, he has chosen to use the Rising Dragon Pill as the main elixir for cultivation during the Foundation Building Stage.

Not for any reasons other than that extra bit of Spirit Qi.

Don’t look down on this little bit. Over time, accumulating it will result in several, even dozens of cultivation progress!

As for the numerous side effects of the Rising Dragon Pill?

Luo Chen is not afraid of them.

His Divine Soul Endowment is profound, and his control over Spirit Power can be regarded as top-notch among his tier.

It’s nothing more than separating and transporting medicinal power.

What about slightly more Pill Poison?

He is now at a point where he doesn’t fear an itch from more lice!

Anyways, consuming any elixir will result in Pill Poison, won’t it still have to be resolved by the Cleanse Origin Pill Formula in the end?

In that case, he doesn’t care about a bit more of the poison.

Lastly, the damage caused by Rising Dragon Pill to a cultivator’s meridians, he cares even less about that!

Throughout the year, he has been using Gold-Quality Jade Liquid without interruption.

And his body is close to completing the Gold Muscle Jade Bone transformation.

When that happens, he will be the seemingly strong Second Realm of Body Refinement in Wang Yuan’s words.

The appearance of strength is due to the body refinement technique.

Not his physical body!

The body of a cultivator in the Second Realm of Body Refinement has sufficiently wide and resilient meridians.

A mere medicinal power collision would not cause much damage.

Even if there’s secret damage, he can use Spirit Stones to purchase Deficiency Repairing Meridian Fluid for recovery.

In one sentence.

Problems that can be solved with Spirit Stones are not problems at all!

“It seems I need to stock up on Rising Dragon Pills from Qingdan Valley.”

Right now, there aren’t many Rising Dragon Pills in his storage bag. Most of them are leftovers from Duan Qiankun’s storage bag.

The inheritance from that storage bag had already been split earlier by Luo Chen.

Duan Feng obtained the Foundation Building resources he needed, plus a top grade Magic Tool, the Wave Drum.

Wang Yuan got two Ascendant Grade Magic Tools, a sizable amount of Second Rank resources, plus one hundred fifty medium grade Spirit Stones, which converts to fifteen thousand lower grade Spirit Stones.

As for Luo Chen, he kept fifty medium grade Spirit Stones, one Ascendant Grade Spirit Stone, and one lower grade Magic Tool Scabbard.

On the surface, Luo Chen seemed to have suffered a loss.

But in reality, there’s a substantial amount of resources he didn’t distribute, instead, with the consent of the other two, he put it into the Luo Tian Creed.

And turned them into a large number of merits, which he then gave to the two.

Among them, the two iron spheres wrapped in mithril were given to the Equipment Hall. Once Duan Feng figured out what they were, they can decide on distribution.

The merits in Luo Tian Creed are not for show.

On the contrary, those are precious!

Because, besides the standard cultivation techniques, materials, and techniques that can be exchanged with Luo Chen.
