First Intergalactic Emperor: Starting With The Ancient Goddess

”You... found the fragment of the rock?” Xavier asked to confirm. He couldn’t believe his ears.

’What was the fragment of the goddess there? It was supposed to be in the village. According to my father, it has been in the village for thousands of years. Could there be more fragments?’

Bull nodded and continued his story. ”The goddess once again asked me if I sought power, and I said yes. What was I supposed to lose, anyway? I was dying, so it was my one and only hope. Then suddenly, I felt strength in my body. I was fully healed. Skipping the story, I fought the space beast and got out of the bottomless pit. Got my revenge on those space pirates. I hunted them down for years and finally avenged the death of my friends and family.

And before I had realized it, I had my own team. The goddess gave me the power I wished for, but in return, I had to do what the goddess asked me to do. I was ordered to find all the fragments of the rock of the goddess and gather them. And to do that, I had to travel to space.

I ventured through various planets to hunt down all the treasures known, but unfortunately, I couldn’t find a single fragment. And before I had realized it, I had become a space pirate. Although that was not my intention, they began calling me that. It didn’t matter to me. I don’t regret a single thing I have done in my life.”

’Wait a second... isn’t his story similar to mine? Bull sought power, so he got power. I was unintentionally seeking money because that could solve all my problems, and I got the unlimited money system. But... the goddess hasn’t asked me to do anything for her. So... wait...’

His eyes widened as realization dawned. ’I get daily tasks and quests... isn’t it the same as following the goddess’ orders?’

”Then around three months ago, I received another task from the goddess— or you might call it prophecy— that happened once in a while. I was told that a new God is now ready to be awakened soon, so I have to go to the earth.”

’Three months ago? Isn’t that when father suddenly summoned me to his chamber and gave me some papers and asked me to study them because I have to take an exam?’

”I was told that I would meet God in the prison on earth. I was confused, but I had to follow the orders. So I made a plan to get myself arrested, but I knew that since I was a space pirate, I wouldn’t be taken to the prison on earth. However... I don’t know how or what happened, but I was kept in the prison on earth.

Of course, I didn’t doubt the Goddess prophecy, but I was simply curious how everything would work out. And then... yesterday, I saw you. And the moment I laid my eyes on you, I felt this attraction towards you. And I knew... that you were my Lord.”

”What are you saying? I know that someone from your team betrayed you and got you arrested,” Xavier remarked, recalling what Klatos had told him. ”And why didn’t you come to the village directly? You could have met me there too, instead of getting yourself arrested and coming to this prison.”

”No, I was arrested when I came to earth. I had already informed my team that I was going to turn myself in and told them that they shouldn’t follow me. Although yes, it is true that there was a traitor in my team, who abandoned a few of my team members, which is why they were arrested with me... and got killed. I don’t know who the traitor is and I can’t name anyone either. I had spent decades with them, so it’s...” He sighed and shook his head in defeat. ”I don’t know.”

His voice grew heavier. ”Also, the reason I came to earth in the first place was to meet you. I wanted to avoid getting arrested. But I didn’t know where you lived. I could have gotten myself arrested in space too. But I guess you can’t change the prophecy like that. It is a destined and fated future that will happen no matter what you do and how you try to avoid it. Not to mention, you hadn’t awakened your powers at that time.”

Xavier’s voice was laced with confusion. ”I... don’t understand...” His mind reeled, struggling to comprehend what he was hearing. ’What he said about feeling attracted is true. I felt the same. Was this the reason? We serve the same goddess!’

Bull looked at him, his expression serious. ”Now, I will tell you the reason why the goddess asked me to meet you,” he said, sitting comfortably on the floor. ”Xavier, you are the chosen one. My job was to gather all of the goddess fragments, but I couldn’t find a single one in decades. I think I failed. Well, anyway. Xavier, it’s now your job to collect all the fragments of goddess. You will eventually leave this planet and make your name in the universe. You will become a legend!”

Xavier shook his head, his mind reeling. ”No... I don’t know about all this. If the goddess truly wanted me to collect the fragments, she would have just told me. She never even mentioned that there were other fragments beside what we had in the village. Why couldn’t she tell me directly? This doesn’t make sense.” Xavier was in denial and reluctant to accept what Bull had told him.

’Even if everything he is saying is true, why should I do it?’ He asked himself.

Bull looked at him, his expression grim. ”I am going to be killed soon,” he said, meeting Xavier’s eyes. ”They want to know about the treasure I have hidden somewhere in the world. They will perform a test on me where they will kill me and access the memories of my brain to learn everything. I can’t let that happen. Which is why...”

He grabbed the gun from the floor—the one Maximilian had brought with him—and handed it to Xavier. ”Do what is destined for me as per the prophecy.”

Xavier stared at the gun, his mind blank. ”What...?” he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

”Kill me, Xavier. Kill me and fully awaken. It is a very necessary step to take the first step to achieve Godhood.”

Xavier’s mind blanked, the weight of Bull’s words settling over him. ’This... this is why Bull came to Earth. Why the goddess sent him to me. It was for me to kill him.’
