Hentai Dragon King

Five people—me, Iria, Fullru, Esty-san, and Rafilia-san—gathered in Iria’s room to discuss the beastman kingdom concept.

Iria, Esty-san, and Rafilia-san sat on the bed, Fullru sat on the chest,

and I sat on the floor.

Originally I also wanted Ana-san, who would know the most about Arasgard’s politics and military, to participate, but she has duties in her position and has already returned to her own territory, so it can’t be helped. She seemed shocked when she learned there was no legitimacy to the beastman slave system, but I hope she’s okay.

Me, Iria, and Esty-san were able to share the thought that the military side can somehow be managed and that food can also be self-produced.

The discussion seemed to be going smoothly.

However, when a person from a different position joins it is only natural that opinions from a different perspective appear, and Rafilia-san pointed out problems with the beastman kingdom for religious reasons.

It was something that connects to the religious problems that also occurred in Earth’s Europe.

It was so obvious that I hadn’t even raised it as a topic, but when the flow of conversation somehow led me to voice the concept of a country where humans and beastmen are all equal, only Rafilia-san raised an objection.

”Masaru-san’s ideals are splendid... I also agree. However, if you are to create a country... the form of rule over beastmen by a human ruling class will become necessary.”

”Why?”

Honestly, I’m surprised.

Rafilia-san sheltered Kemolori and Letree-san and the others at the church and treated the beastmen without distinction as friends... When Kemolori was suffering from the poison she also worried and tried to help.

And yet, why does she say that human rule over beastmen is necessary?

She seemed to find it hard to say, so there must be some deep thought.

What on earth...

”In Arasgard there exist the two great religions of Larme and Lyuté.

Both churches commonly teach their followers that the gods created ’Nothingness’ and ’Existence.’

It might be easier to understand if I say the spiritual world and the material world.

The material world, that is, the present world where we live. The ones who rule these secular worlds are kings like His Majesty Aras VI or lords like Iria-sama.

And the ones who rule the spiritual world, that is, the world closer to the domain where the gods reside, are the popes of the two great religions.

And they believe that the rulers of the spiritual world close to the gods also rule the material world. The church, as the agents of the gods, bears the duty of ruling the world.”

Mumumu.

The talk is difficult.

Am I the only one who doesn’t understand?

When I glanced around, Esty-san and Iria seemed to be following the conversation.

Fullru had an expression as if she was pretending to understand.

”Um. I don’t know much about this country so I couldn’t understand well, but if you put it more simply, what does it mean?”

”In other words,”

Iria pointed at us in order with her hand.

”The people of this country are divided into three strata: ’Agents of God’—”

She pointed at Rafilia-san with her hand. Because she is a priest of the Larme religion she apparently corresponds to an agent of God.

”’Children of God’—”

She pointed at herself and me with her hand.

”and ’Those Abandoned by God.’”

Iria only made a slightly pained expression. She did not point at anyone in the room with her hand.

Then Esty-san raised her hand small while giving a bitter smile. Fullru could not completely hide her unpleasant expression, so elves are classified as those abandoned by God.

Seeing that, Iria resumed the explanation.

”Priest Rafilia belongs to Larme Church and, as an ’Agent of God,’ bears the duty of teaching and guiding the people. Iria and Masaru are those born into the material world as ’Children of God.’ We have the right to live in this world and the duty to labor.”

I see.

”We demi-humans including beastmen are ’Those Abandoned by God,’ so our existence is not recognized by the church. In other words, we are treated the same as animals or monsters.”

”That’s...”

In other words,

Important: Church-related people like Rafilia-san.

Normal: Humans like Iria and me.

Slaves: Demi-humans like Esty-san and Fullru.

Is that it.

Come to think of it, even on Earth there were coronation ceremonies where a bishop placed the crown on the king.

I had thought it was merely a religious ritual, but because the church is superior they were granting the king his royal authority...

Rafilia-san spoke intermittently while looking down.

”The idea Masaru-san raises of everyone getting along and being equal is a wonderful thought... However, the church will not permit it. ...If a country where the three strata live equally is born, it will go against the teaching that ’the gods created the spiritual world and the material world’... and it will come into conflict with the church.”

”I have no intention of coming into conflict, and if we make it a country free even in religion—”

”It is not a problem on the beastman kingdom’s side. The church, as the agents of the gods, bears the duty of maintaining the world order. ...If it is recognized that they are going against the teachings of the gods, they will be regarded as worshipping evil heretical gods or demons. If a country where all people are equal is born, in order to protect the order of the gods the church will request the kings of each country to dispatch their armies to destroy that country.”

”Um, in other words...”

While I was unable to interpret Rafilia-san’s words well, Iria supplemented.

”Not only Arasgard, but the allied forces of the countries in the Larme and Lyuté religious spheres such as Leglandelle, Lumaniera, and Mador will invade the beastman kingdom... That means everyone except the Demon King’s army will become our enemies.”

”...That’s ridiculous. I only want to create a peaceful country where everyone can live together in harmony, so why does the whole world become our enemy?!”

No, I understand.

The church and the kings want to protect their own wealth and power.

The ones who will be troubled if the concept of everyone being equal spreads are the rulers.

This is...

The same as the religious wars that originated from the Crusades that occurred in Europe...

Wars that began for religious reasons ultimately became ones for expanding territory and concentrating wealth and power.

This world is right in the middle of the dark history that Earth has already overcome (I’m not saying it was successfully resolved)...

”Masaru probably doesn’t know, but previously there was a country called Ooma in the east. The king of Ooma claimed that the gods created only the spiritual world, and that the material world where we live was created by all the people who live on this land. That was an assertion that affirmed rule by the gods while claiming that all races are equal. However, that idea was regarded as heresy—”

The country of Ooma was destroyed.

I never thought the story of Ooma that I had heard before would connect here...

Damn it.

The talk is so serious that I want to do something erotic.

Please, Iferaski, come. Let me touch your butt.

However, even if I pray in my heart Iferaski does not come.

In the end...

If I do something like the protagonists of anime and manga and shout ”Even so I! Want to create a peaceful world where no one gets hurt!” the whole world will become my enemy.

But—

That time when I told Lucia in the sky above Margolant that I wanted to create a beastman country—

”Hey, Lucia. I’m thinking of creating a beastman country. What do you think?”

”I think it’s a good thing.”

—Lucia definitely told me she thought it was a good thing.

Therefore, a country where everyone gets along should be fine.

That’s right. The goddess has affirmed it.

...The goddess has affirmed it?

That’s right!

In the first place, the church misunderstanding or twisting the goddess’s teachings is the problem!

In that case...

『Lucia. What are you doing right now?』

『I’m sunbathing sandwiched between Bapi and Bara.』

『I see. Sorry to bother you when you’re busy, but there’s something I want to ask.』

『What is it?』

『Lucia agrees with creating a beastman country, right?』

『Yeah.』

『Are the other gods against it?』

『Eh? I don’t think so?』

『You know how humans are believing in Larme, right?』

『Yeah. Larme has big breasts so she’s popular with humans.』

『According to the believers who believe in Larme, because the gods created the world, the church as the agents of the gods is allowed to make beastmen into slaves and rule them. Is that true?』

『Eh? Is that true? Did Larme create the world?』

『The important people in the church seem to be claiming that.』

『I don’t think the creator god is Larme, and the gods don’t take much interest in things on the ground. I’m treated as an eccentric for being on the ground.』

『If possible, like before, I want to have Larme possess Rafilia-san and hear it directly from her own mouth. Lucia, can you come here?』

『Eeh. Sunbathing...』

『When the business is finished I’ll introduce you to the fluffy sheep girls.』

『I’m going.』

Kapi!

The room shone, and the capybara-girl Baka appeared.
