Chapter 719: Chapter 719 Sun Family’s Fury_1

Ji Lingtian’s eyes swept across the room, and a faint smile surfaced at the corners of his mouth as he slowly walked towards Sun Yu.

By that time, Sun Yu’s complexion was deathly pale, his whole body collapsed on the ground like a dead dog, yet he was still alive.

Seeing Ji Lingtian appear, Sun Yu hurriedly pleaded, ”Young Master Ji, young master Ji, quick... take me to the hospital... to the hospital.”

”Sigh, Ye Luo isn’t ruthless enough in his actions, after all that and he still left you alive.”

Ji Lingtian looked at Sun Yu and shook his head as he spoke those words, causing Sun Yu’s expression to freeze, and he gazed weakly at Ji Lingtian.

”Young Master Ji, what... what are you talking about?”

”I’m sorry, Sun Yu, but to deal with that guy, I can only sacrifice you,” Ji Lingtian said with a malicious curve to his lips. That smile appeared exceedingly sinister, instilling in Sun Yu a sense of fear even stronger than when he faced Ye Luo.

”Young Master Ji, you...”

Sun Yu tried to say something more, but couldn’t speak another word as Ji Lingtian’s hand had already struck his chest, shattering all his internal organs and ensuring he was dead beyond any doubt.

”How can I lure out the old ancestor of the Sun Family if you don’t die?” Ji Lingtian smiled and rose, then left the room.

Sun Yu’s eyes were wide open in death, unable to close in peace, never having imagined that he would die by the hand of his own people.

Twenty minutes later, the Sun Family was in turmoil, and even the Capital City was shaken.

The illustrious young master of the Sun Family, and the young president of the Glorious Group, Sun Yu was killed in a hotel. The news spread through the Capital City like a hurricane, shocking everyone. Who could have the audacity to lay hands on the Sun Family’s sole heir?

In Capital City, at the foot of a certain mountain, an ancient and quaint estate was enveloped by a dreadful and oppressive atmosphere; this was the Sun Family’s residence.

Within the grand hall of the Sun Family, all the high-ranking members were gathered, their faces grim as they looked at the body lying on the ground—it was Sun Yu’s corpse.

The air was thick with an extremely oppressive mood, and a sense of fury was barely concealed within it.

The Family Head of the Sun Family, the Chairman of the Glorious Group, Sun Quan stood in front of his son’s corpse, silent, his face dark and fearsome, his eyes flashing with icy coldness, and his heart surging with terrible rage.

”My grandson!”

At that moment, an elderly man in a long robe with white hair rushed in. Seeing Sun Yu’s body on the ground, he cried out in grief and threw himself forward.

He was none other than the elder patriarch of the Sun Family, Sun Zhenbang, who was Sun Quan’s father and Sun Yu’s grandfather.

The sole bloodline of the Sun Family was Sun Yu, and naturally, Sun Zhenbang was extremely fond of his grandson. But now, facing the sudden tragedy of a white-haired person sending off a black-haired one, the elder was filled with endless sorrow, nearly fainting from the overwhelming grief.

”Dad, how are you? Are you alright?” Sun Quan quickly steadied Sun Zhenbang and asked.

”Who is it? Who is so heartless as to have killed the sole heir of my Sun Family? I will make him pay with his life for Yu’er, make him pay the price!”

Sun Zhenbang’s aged eyes were filled with flames of anger, and his voice, desolate with howl, showed the depth of the old man’s grief and rage.

”Dad, you can rest assured, I’ve already sent someone to investigate, and I believe we’ll very soon know who the murderer is. When that time comes, he’ll certainly pay with his life for Yu’er,” Sun Quan said with a grave voice.

”Family Head, old master, the murderer has been found!”

At this moment, a middle-aged man hurriedly walked in, instantly drawing the unified gaze of everyone in the great hall.

”Who is it? Who dared to audaciously murder a scion of the Sun Family?” Sun Zhenbang barked in anger.

”Speak,” Sun Quan’s gaze also turned toward the man.

The middle-aged man spoke directly, ”According to the investigation, the young master appears to have been killed by Ye Luo!”

”Ye Luo!” Upon hearing this name, Sun Quan and the members of the Sun Family present all fixated their eyes, showing a hint of surprise. They were naturally aware of this person, especially Sun Quan, who had attended Ji Lingtian’s engagement ceremony and knew very well who Ye Luo was. He just hadn’t expected it to be him.

However, Elder Sun had previously stayed within the Sun Family and didn’t know much about the outside world, so he couldn’t help but ask, ”Who is this Ye Luo?”

Sun Quan recounted the details about Ye Luo after which Sun Zhenbang demanded, ”What is this young man’s background to be so arrogant? Not only does he oppose the Ji Family but now has even murdered my grandson. My Sun Family absolutely cannot let him go.”

”This Ye Luo is said to be a young master from a declined family in Zhonghai. He possesses strong medical skills and astounding martial prowess, and he’s also with the Special Security Bureau. Previously, Elder Shi and the members of the War God’s team even stood up for him, and he has a Saint Realm expert protecting him; he’s no ordinary individual,”

spoke Sun Quan in a low voice.

”No matter who he is, having killed the only bloodline of my Sun Family and cut short our line of descent, he must die,” Sun Zhenbang’s aged eyes revealed endless murderous intent.

”Dad, don’t rush to judgment, let’s find out the details first,” Sun Quan, though he had suffered the loss of his son, managed to stay rational. He looked at the middle-aged man and said, ”Yu’er and Ye Luo had no feud. Why would he kill Yu’er?”

”Family Head, from what we’ve learned, the young master had taken a film star named Shi Yanran to his room. Later, Ye Luo appeared, and it seems that the starlet is involved with him. I found out from her agent that she indeed saw Ye Luo leave the hotel with the starlet, so it must have been him who killed him,”

the middle-aged man said gravely.

”Shi Yanran!” Sun Quan’s expression changed upon hearing this name, his eyes flashing with shock.

”Quan’er, what about Shi Yanran?” Sun Zhenbang, seeing his son’s expression, couldn’t help but ask.

”Dad, if I’m not mistaken, Shi Yanran should be Elder Shi’s granddaughter. I didn’t expect Yu’er to have taken liberties with her. If Elder Shi finds out, it’s going to be troublesome,” Sun Quan said with a heavy expression.

Sun Zhenbang’s face also changed as he said, ”Even so, my grandson has already died. What more does he want? No matter what, I must avenge Yu’er. That Ye Luo must die. Go immediately and contact your second uncle.”

”Dad, you mean to...” Sun Quan’s eyes narrowed, looking toward Sun Zhenbang.

”No matter what background that kid has, no matter what his strength is, he must die. You go and tell your second uncle to come back,” Sun Zhenbang commanded coldly.

Ye Luo, of course, knew nothing of these events, as he had returned to the villa with Shi Yanran. The ladies, upon learning what had happened to Yanran, all showed indignant faces. While Capital City was stirred by another round of turmoil, Zhonghai was similarly unrestful.
