Baby with Daoist Monarch System

Chapter 542: Chapter 212: Innate Divine Body

Everything happened so naturally, like water flowing downstream. Xu Ran didn’t notice his mom’s expression; his whole mind was focused on the beast milk.

When Xu Ran finished his beast milk, his tiny hands waved back and forth in front of Lian Ji, bringing her to her senses. She quickly picked him up.

”Little Ran, how did you stand up already? Is something wrong? Lie down quickly.”

Lian Ji was a first-time mom and had absolutely no idea if this was good or bad. She had never heard of any child standing and walking upright at just one month old.

Xu Ran simply wore a baby’s innocent smile on his face, looking as if he had no idea what was going on.

Being able to stand and walk upright was nothing for Xu Ran now. If an Innate Spirit Body couldn’t enable a one-month-old baby to walk upright, then it’s not worth having.

Xu Ran pretended to stagger and took a few steps on the bed, as if proving he could now walk upright. Seeing her son continuing to walk, Lian Ji couldn’t help but sigh.

”Little Ran can walk at just one month old. Although it’s not very smooth, it proves he’s a prodigy!”

Xu Ran got even more excited hearing his mom’s words. Taking advantage of the moment, he decided to showcase his walking ability.

After Xu Ran staggered a few steps, his pace became steadier, one step after another without any pause.

Seeing this, Lian Ji widened her eyes again in disbelief at what was happening before her.

How long had it been since Xu Ran first stood up to then staggeringly walking a few steps, and now smoothly walking? Just one minute.

Getting to this level in one minute was something she had never imagined.

While Xu Ran happily walked back and forth on the bed, a man’s voice came from outside the door.

”Wife, I’m back!” It was Xu Binghu who had returned.

Xu Binghu, who had just returned, was a bit surprised. The courtyard was unusually quiet. Normally, when he came back, Lian Ji would rush out to greet him, but there was no reaction today. Did something happen?

Xu Binghu speculated wildly, quickly entered the room with a wild rabbit in one hand and beast milk in the other.

Upon entering, he saw Lian Ji standing motionless in front of the bed.

”Wife, why aren’t you saying anything?” Seeing that Lian Ji was fine, Xu Binghu felt relieved and immediately turned his head to look at Xu Ran, who was constantly moving on the bed, rushing to the front of the bed.

”Wow, why is Little Ran so energetic today? Over the past month...”

Before he could finish speaking, Xu Binghu noticed something amiss and widened his eyes abruptly.

”Hey! Why is Little Ran walking on the bed?”

Lian Ji snapped back to her senses upon hearing Xu Binghu’s voice roaring in her ear, and she immediately excitedly exclaimed upon seeing her husband.

”Husband, Little Ran stood up and can walk by himself!”

After being stunned for quite a while, Xu Binghu finally replied, ”Wife, I see it.”

Even though Xu Binghu was a hunter from the Great Wilderness Border Village, had ventured into the Great Mountain, and witnessed many bizarre things, he was seeing a one-month-old baby walking smoothly for the first time.

Not to mention that his son was now as big as other babies were at a year old.

All of these situations indicate that their son truly is exceptional.

”Hahaha, Little Ran is truly unique, surpassing everything by leaps and bounds. Isn’t that what makes a prodigy?”

Lian Ji transformed from surprise to delight, ”Little Ran can walk now; it won’t be long before he can run!”

Xu Binghu then came before Xu Ran, stretched out his hands, and wanted to lift him up as usual.

”Little Ran, let me hold you!”

However, Xu Ran moved two steps to the left, dodged Xu Binghu’s hands, and then waved his hand before his nose with a slight distaste.

Lian Ji understood Xu Ran’s intention, glanced at Xu Binghu, and then pushed him out, ”Husband, you came back without showering, and you’re all sweaty. No wonder Little Ran doesn’t want you to hold him!”

Usually, after returning, Xu Binghu would hand over the prey and beast milk to Lian Ji first, then go wash up before returning to the room.

But upon coming back today, the quietness made Xu Binghu enter the room immediately just in case, hence still having the sweaty smell.

Xu Binghu sheepishly smiled, ”Hehe, I was just anxious, worried about you both. I’ll go shower now.”

With that, Xu Binghu went out.

But at that moment, Xu Binghu was incredibly shocked. An experienced hunter like himself had been dodged by a one-month-old baby?

Although he just reached out to hold Xu Ran, from the way Xu Ran dodged him just now, it was incredibly smooth, far beyond what a baby should be capable of—this was at least equivalent to a six-year-old’s level.

Thinking about this made Xu Binghu even more shocked.

Afterwards, Lian Ji gathered her excited emotions and took the rabbit out to cook, leaving Xu Ran alone in the room.

Seeing his parents had gone out, Xu Ran had no more concerns. He came to the bed’s edge, leapt off the somewhat high bed, and walked barefoot out of the house.

When sunlight shone on him, it was his first time witnessing this new world, and he saw his home’s layout for the first time.

The entrance was encircled with a wooden fence surrounding the whole yard.

Entering from the main gate, the left side had a well, with the sound of running water nearby, likely the place for bathing.

On the right was a vegetable garden, not large, about twenty square meters, full of vegetables he couldn’t recognize. Walking further into the garden was the kitchen, with smoke coming from its chimney at that moment.

After taking a quick look, Xu Ran continued to walk outside, reached the gate, and poked his round head out. To the left was a winding path ending in a forest, and beyond the forest stood a Great Mountain.

To the right was another house.

Xu Ran quickly observed his surroundings.

”That Great Mountain must be the one Dad usually goes hunting on,” Xu Ran speculated.

Just then, Lian Ji’s voice came from behind, ”Little Ran, why did you run out?” Her tone was extremely anxious.

Although Xu Ran could walk, being in the yard was a bit dangerous, let alone having signs of wanting to go out.

Upon hearing his mom’s voice, Xu Ran raised his head, smiling at her, stretching out his arms, signaling for a hug.

Seeing this, Lian Ji immediately swallowed back any words of reproach and picked Xu Ran up, returning him to the room.

[Life Task Three]: Absorb Heaven and Earth Spiritual Qi, require daily moonlight strands and dawn strands continuously for three months to evolve the Innate Spirit Body into an Innate Divine Body.

As soon as he was placed on the bed, the system’s voice rang out. Barely had he completed Task Two when Task Three came; there wasn’t a moment of rest.

However, time was pressing, and he was a self-disciplined person.

Immediately, his mind was flooded with information about the Divine Body, moonlight, and dawn.

Innate Divine Body is a physique even one level higher than Innate Spirit Body, possessing infinite potential and capable of breaking limits.

Moonlight is the moon’s essence released when night falls, an enormous benefit to Foundation Establishment; it can only be absorbed while standing under moonlight.

Dawn refers to the essence when the morning sun rises, also providing tremendous benefits to Foundation Establishment; it can only be absorbed under the morning sunlight.

Now Xu Ran understood; during mind cleansing before dawn, the pale purple haze he saw was the yet-to-be-formed dawn.

Moonlight and dawn are two substances only absorbable by people with an Innate Spirit Body; even if you sense their existence, you can only watch.

No wonder when the Innate Spirit Body was about to form, those hazy purples congregated towards him yet couldn’t be absorbed; at that time, the Spirit Body hadn’t been formed, allowing attraction but not absorption.
