The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 1198: Chapter 450: The Stingy Dad Arrives (Part 8)_2

The thieves represented by Uncle Li make their living through ”skill.”

And as for robbers, they purely rely on brute force.

In the first world, He Tiantian won over the hearts of elderly people through genuine companionship.

No deceit, no exploitation. Even if there was scheming, it should be considered ”open strategy,” exchanging sincerity for real benefits.

”What? Swindlers?”

Although Student Xiao D had followed He Tiantian since the first world and had seen many health product scams,

at this moment, watching the ”company leader” on the stage with such fiery enthusiasm, it felt a bit uncomfortable but couldn’t see anything unusual.

”Yes! They are swindlers! The most low-level, disgusting kind of scam!”

He Tiantian’s face was calm, but inside, she was a bit angry.

Xiao D: ...Uh, could you explain it carefully? I really don’t see anything wrong here.

He Tiantian never held high expectations for her clueless assistant.

Intelligence is indeed a hard limitation.

He Tiantian quietly had a little complaint, then slowly explained—

”This so-called health conference lasts three days. On the first day, they reimburse travel and meal expenses!”

”The elderly only need to wait until the end of the first day’s activities to get reimbursed. 30 yuan smoothly in hand!”

”On the second day, which is today, they reimburse the money spent on buying artworks.

”For the frugal elderly who like small benefits, 99 yuan is not too much or too little. Even with instigators involved, some elderly would be reluctant to spend money!”

”But after the event ends, these swindlers will ’reimburse’ on-site. The sight of hundred-yuan bills would definitely stimulate all the elderly’s hearts.”

”Those who bought artworks and got ’reimbursed’ would naturally be very happy. Because they not only got a 1999 yuan, potentially appreciating artwork for free, but also earned 100 yuan.”

”And those elderly who didn’t buy anything would surely regret it a lot!”

”But whether they are happy or regretful, through the first and second day’s experiences, they’ve gained a ’cognition’ that all their expenses at the event can be ’reimbursed’!”

”Here comes the highlight of the third day! If I’m not mistaken, tomorrow, the third day, they will start selling products!”

”A set of so-called health products, costing thousands, if not over ten thousand! Usually, it would require salespeople to go to great lengths to find and maintain clients to make a sale!”

”These people, however, use the ’setup’ from the first two days to give the elderly the wrong understanding.”

”Especially those who didn’t get the 100 yuan on the second day. Driven by regret and other emotions, they would actively buy products!”

”Because they’ve been successfully misled by the swindlers, thinking the third day would be just like the first two days, that whatever money they spend, the company would ’reimburse.’ They even have receipts.”

”At that point, not only would they get a free set of health products claimed to be both healing for illnesses and beneficial for wellness, but they would also earn several thousand yuan.”

”The swindlers will issue receipts to the elderly on the third day. It clearly states ’purchase proof’—”

So, when on the third day, the swindlers refuse to reimburse the elderly, when the elderly and their families go to the police, there’s nothing the police can do.

They issued you a receipt; it’s a normal trading transaction.

As for the elderly claiming ’they would reimburse’ and such, that will leave their children and the police at a loss.

Reimburse?

Why should they reimburse you?

The earlier benefits were just a taste to lure the elderly into their scheme.

Spending tens of thousands of yuan, putting elderly at ease, gradually falling into the trap.

By the third day, if only a third of the four to five hundred elderly people present paid, there would be one or two million.

Even after deducting various costs, there would still be profit for the swindlers.

Once they are done with this batch, they can move on to the second batch, the third batch.

As long as people still have the mindset of getting cheap benefits, as long as the elderly can be lured by small profits, they can continue to scam.

This isn’t about selling health products or services, it’s outright fraud!

”...It’s people like this that make the already tarnished reputation of health product marketing even worse!”

He Tiantian felt deeply resentful.

Xiao D: ...uh, I feel something strange here, but I can’t quite pinpoint it.
