My Silly, Sweet Wife

Things went smoother than expected.

According to An Shengtian’s plan, Yuan Shao would lead Ye Guichen and the others to create a scene at Sakura Falling to attract the Holy Daughter outside, and then sneak into the old leader’s room to kill him.

Of course, Yuan Shao wasn’t foolish.

They were newcomers, and once the old leader was dead, Sakura Falling would quickly find them, and their fate would be predictable.

At that time, An Shengtian could completely disavow any knowledge of Yuan Shao, making him the scapegoat.

That move was undoubtedly vicious.

It killed two birds with one stone, allowing them to kill the old leader and stay out of it.

However, Ye Guichen could also take this opportunity to sneak into the old leader’s room and get his hands on the Lotus Jade.

”Since An Shengtian wants you to create a commotion, then make it look good!” Ye Guichen returned to the firewood room and quickly made arrangements with Yuan Shao and the others.

Since this place was built by the lake in the forest, and everything was made of wood, if they started a fire, the commotion would surely be enough.

At that time, even An Shengtian would have to be furious, wouldn’t he?

A smile appeared on Ye Guichen’s lips, making Yuan Shao shiver.

If a fire really started, most of Sakura Falling would probably be destroyed.

Moreover, since it was in the middle of the lake, there were bound to be many terrifying fish in the lake, and jumping in would result in numerous casualties.

However, Yuan Shao understood that An Shengtian probably didn’t fully trust him, and there was a significant element of using him to create the disruption.

”You three start fires in separate places, remember, unless absolutely necessary, don’t engage with others, just escape!” Ye Guichen instructed again after making arrangements.

The people of Sakura Falling were adept at using poison, and a direct confrontation might not end well.

After they discussed the plan, they split up to take action.

Ye Guichen, following Ugly Fox’s instructions, quietly hid near the wooden villa in the center of Sakura Falling.

According to Ugly Fox, the Lotus Jade hung around the old leader’s neck.

It seemed that the Lotus Jade was a treasure to Sakura Falling, similar to the Holy relics to Ma Xiaoling’s Corpse-chasing Clan.

But its exact purpose was unknown to the Corpse Chaser.

Since the old leader of Sakura Falling was comatose, whether he knew the purpose of the Lotus Jade didn’t matter.

Ye Guichen believed that as long as he gathered seven pieces of Lotus Jade and opened the black box, all problems would be solved.

”Oh no, there’s a fire! A fire!”

Ye Guichen waited for just over ten minutes when he heard someone suddenly shout.

Ye Guichen glanced towards the southeast and saw thick smoke rising.

Sakura Falling descended into chaos: ”Quick, put out the fire!”

”Damn it, how is it possible? How could there be a fire?”

Everyone who had been inside their houses ran out.

Almost simultaneously, Sister Hua rushed into the old leader’s room and shouted, ”Holy Daughter, it’s bad, there’s a fire in the southeast, someone must have broken in, please go investigate!”

Shang Hongye appeared extremely tired, having slept uneasily, and looked up upon hearing this: ”Someone broke in?”

”Yes, we usually use fluorescent lights for illumination, how could there be a fire? Please go check, now that the old leader is still comatose, we’re counting on you!” Sister Hua appeared anxious.

Soon, another elder entered.

He looked around sixty, wearing a robe, somewhat breathless. Seeing Shang Hongye still inside, he frowned at Sister Hua: ”What are you doing here?”

”Hua Wushuang greets Second Elder,” Sister Hua bowed upon seeing the elder, ”There’s a fire in the southeast, I came to inform the Holy Daughter to decide.”

”Hmph, I know, go put out the fire!”

The Second Elder commanded expressionlessly.

Sister Hua nodded and quickly left.

People continued to gather towards the fire source.

Soon another person rushed into the old leader’s room, ”Holy Daughter, we’ve captured a woman trying to start the fire, how should we deal with her?”

”Hmm?” The Second Elder glanced at the messenger, ”You go out first, I’ll discuss with the Holy Daughter how to handle this.”

”No need, call the Great Elder, Third Elder, and Fourth Elder here.” Shang Hongye finally stood up and instructed.

The messenger glanced at the Second Elder, saw him nod, and responded immediately: ”Yes, I’ll go now.”

Then he turned and ran out.

At this moment, more noises echoed outside.

”Quick, a stranger has appeared, capture him!” Sakura Falling became even more chaotic.

Ye Guichen hid in the dark, initially planning to wait for the Holy Daughter to leave so he could sneak in and quietly steal the Lotus Jade, making everything go as planned.

But Ye Guichen had underestimated Shang Hongye’s intelligence.

Holy Daughter Shang Hongye not only didn’t leave the villa but called in the other elders.

”The Great Elder is here!”

”The Third Elder is here!”

”The Fourth Elder is here!”

The fire was also quickly extinguished.

Soon even An Shengtian appeared at the villa’s entrance.

Hua Wushuang followed alongside An Shengtian, whispering: ”Young Master An, the Holy Daughter seems to have noticed something, she didn’t leave the room but called all the elders, what should we do?”

An Shengtian looked grim: ”That damn Yuan Shao is a useless waste, can’t even handle this! Damn it, find a way to silence him, if he exposes me, our plan will be ruined.”

”Alright!” Hua Wushuang agreed and turned to leave.

An Shengtian then changed his expression, looking anxious, and quickly entered the villa, shouting from afar: ”This is outrageous, someone dares to break into Sakura Falling, have they been caught?”

He acted as if completely unaware.

Ye Guichen’s hearing was excellent, even though some distance away, he could still hear Shang Hongye’s conversation.

”The plan was perfect, but things seem to have gone awry.”

Ye Guichen was debating whether to continue stealing the Lotus Jade when he saw a few people carrying a person towards the villa.

The person being carried was none other than Ma Xiaoling.

Ma Xiaoling was still conscious, but clearly poisoned, immobilized with red blotches on her face, looking terrifying.

”Mr. Ye, how’s it going, is it done?” Suddenly, a voice came from behind Ye Guichen.

Ye Guichen turned to see Yuan Shao with Shui Liao, looking flustered.

Ye Guichen grew furious: ”The fires have been put out, nothing is done!”

As soon as he finished speaking, a group of people surrounded Ye Guichen and his companions.

Yuan Shao froze, awkwardly smiled: ”I came to support after setting the fire, bumped into Shui Liao, and forgot his size, got followed.”

Ye Guichen was speechless.

Yuan Shao, a prominent figure, failed in such a minor task.

Maybe he was strategic, but clearly inept at this kind of sabotage.

Shui Liao just grinned, seeming unconcerned.

He’d been discovered while setting the fire and remembering not to cause trouble, he fled.

Now, it had all turned into a farce.

From the crowd surrounding Ye Guichen appeared Sister Hua, Hua Wushuang.

Hua Wushuang’s face was grim, a cold smile on her lips, she gestured: ”Kill!”

No delay!

Kill and silence!
