My Silly, Sweet Wife

The next second, Shui Liao stared fixedly at that piece of bone, surprisingly staying incredibly still.

Iron Hand’s face was full of astonishment.

This small piece of bone could actually appease a beast like Shui Liao?

Zhao Erdan also found it unbelievable.

There are many strange things in the world, but hearing about them is nothing like seeing them with your own eyes, being this astonishing?

”Boss, what’s going on?” Zhao Erdan finally managed to get up, unable to resist moving closer.

Shui Liao’s size was already shocking, and after being steamed and boiled, not only was he not injured but also revived, which was even more astounding.

Now, a bone easily calmed Shui Liao down, which was beyond belief.

Shui Liao’s throat let out gurgling sounds; his original ferocity seemed to be gradually soothed.

Especially his eyes, they were slowly returning to their original color.

Ye Guichen’s heart settled, increasingly clear about what he needed to do.

”Shui Liao, what happened in the past wasn’t your fault; you need not blame yourself.” Ye Guichen’s voice seemed imbued with a magical power, as he gently placed the leg bone in front of Shui Liao: ”You couldn’t control yourself, and killing your kin wasn’t your intention. No matter what others have said or done to you before, that’s all in the past. Remember, you are just a person, not a beast, and certainly not an assassin weapon for anyone to command.”

Shui Liao looked up at Ye Guichen with confusion, seemingly not understanding why Ye Guichen was saying this to him.

Memories deeply buried in his heart slowly surfaced.

Shui Liao only remembered that from childhood, he was treated as a monster, no one regarded him as a human being.

Even his own father abandoned him and his mother because he looked too frightening.

But then, on a full moon night, Shui Liao went berserk again and unintentionally killed his mother who tried to stop him.

When he came to his senses, Shui Liao cried and held his mother’s body, grieving for three days and nights.

Three days later, someone came to him, offering a brand new life.

Since then, Shui Liao became a killing machine, with orders in his mind and no personal thoughts.

”Not... my fault?” Shui Liao looked up, his eyes somewhat hazy.

Ye Guichen showed a gentle smile and placed the bone into Shui Liao’s hand.

Shui Liao instantly felt as if electrified, wanting to evade but unable to resist holding onto the bone, a strange feeling churning in his heart.

”This belongs to you. If you want to hold it, just hold it; no one will take it from you again,” Ye Guichen finished and let go.

Shui Liao held the leg bone tightly.

At this moment, it was as if he was holding his own mother.

Tears poured down like a torrential rain.

Shui Liao cried with heart-wrenching grief.

Ye Guichen, however, smiled.

Ye Guichen understood.

Shui Liao’s emotional knot had been untied.

He was no longer just a killing machine, no longer a cold, emotionless beast.

He had become a living person again, even if his appearance was still terrifying.

”Brother Zhao, from today on, for seven consecutive days, soak Shui Liao in a wooden barrel every day,” Ye Guichen glanced at the dumbfounded Zhao Erdan and instructed.

”Ah?” Zhao Erdan was a bit distressed.

The wooden barrel could be broken, but the medicinal herbs cost tens of thousands each time. Over seven days, wouldn’t that cost millions?

”Ah, nothing. Remember, soak him for at least three hours every day.” Ye Guichen gave Zhao Erdan a glare and then smiled slightly at Shui Liao: ”Shui Liao, from today onwards, no one can beat or scold you, bully you, or treat you as a monster anymore. Stay here and heal well. When you’re healed, you can leave if you want.”

Shui Liao abruptly lifted his head and heavily knelt on the ground: ”I’m not going anywhere, I will follow you.”

”Are you sure?” Ye Guichen smiled, a smile that was somewhat sly yet warm like a spring breeze.

Shui Liao didn’t hesitate at all, nodding forcefully, and said word by word: ”I am. Sure! From today on, you are my only family!”

”Good!” Ye Guichen pulled Shui Liao up.

Though weighing over three hundred pounds, Shui Liao was easily lifted by Ye Guichen like a feather.

Zhao Erdan was once again astonished.

His boss didn’t seem human either, even less human than Shui Liao.

No one else could lift Shui Liao, yet Ye Guichen could pick him up as if lifting a chick with one hand.

Iron Hand’s eyes flickered.

He didn’t expect Ye Guichen to tame Shui Liao in such a manner, and from the looks of it, no one could control Shui Liao even if they took his bone.

What kind of magic does this Mr. Ye possess?

Instead, Ma Xiaoling felt a bit disappointed.

Shui Liao wasn’t dead, and her plan to create a rare Golden Armor Corpse fell apart.

”Iron Hand, don’t you know how to forge weapons?” Suddenly, Ye Guichen called Iron Hand over and pointed at the leg bone in Shui Liao’s hand: ”Forge a weapon out of this leg bone for Brother Shui Liao, inlay the leg bone into the weapon so that Brother Shui Liao can carry it every day.”

”Ah?” Iron Hand looked dumbfounded.

He looked up at Shui Liao, deeply shocked.

Iron Hand understood Ye Guichen’s intention.

Forging a weapon in the shape of a leg bone, considering Shui Liao’s size, would need to be a meter-long iron rod with a diameter over ten centimeters.

If made of solid iron or copper, and if the bone was inlaid, it would weigh a hundred pounds.

If Shui Liao wielded it in a fight, he might be able to sweep away even a tank.

Oh my, Mr. Ye isn’t just finding a berserk fighter; he’s building a killing machine.

Iron Hand was tremulous but nodded quickly: ”Understood.”

Though Shui Liao seemed a bit naive and didn’t understand Ye Guichen’s intentions, he smiled foolishly, his eyes seemingly filled only with Ye Guichen.

At this moment, Ye Guichen had become the closest, the only close person to Shui Liao.

After dealing with Shui Liao, Ye Guichen called upon Yuan Shao and went straight to Herbal Street.

The people on Herbal Street were initially terrified upon seeing Yuan Shao, but when they saw Yuan Shao tagging along humbly behind Ye Guichen, they were puzzled.

”Isn’t that the kid from Yunji Hall before?”

”Yes? Didn’t he beat up Yuan Shao’s men? How is he hanging out with Yuan Shao now?”

”No way, look at how there’s no earlier vigor in Yuan Shao?”

There was much speculation, but no one dared to approach.

Su Tong evidently heard the news and came out from Yunji Hall, looking stunned when he saw Yuan Shao hanging back timidly behind Ye Guichen: ”Little apprentice nephew, what’s going on?”
