My Silly, Sweet Wife

When he saw the unusual reaction Water Liao had to the bone, Ye Guichen guessed that the bone was closely related to controlling Water Liao.

Now that there was a chance, Ye Guichen couldn’t afford to miss it.

Holding the bone in his hand, it looked like a woman’s shin bone, and it seemed quite old, with the surface already showing some blackness.

Ye Guichen hadn’t looked at it closely before, but upon inspecting it now, he could mostly infer that the bone came from a woman around forty years old.

Judging by the height, the woman was about 150 cm tall, and from the joints, it was clear that the leg bone had been forcibly torn from the woman’s body when she died.

Yuan Shao now revered Ye Guichen like a god, and he was naturally forthcoming with information. Seeing Ye Guichen ask, he quickly said, ”Mr. Ye, you are indeed wise. This leg bone is the key to controlling Water Liao. When my foster father, uh, An Shengtian gave it to me, he told me it was taken from Water Liao’s mother.”

”Not only that, but Water Liao killed his mother with his own hands on a full moon night. When he slightly regained his senses, an indelible obsession formed in his heart, and this bone became the source of his obsession.”

”As long as you hold this bone, Water Liao will obey whatever you say.”

Ye Guichen understood.

In this world, some people easily develop a kind of subconscious obsession.

Especially someone like Water Liao, who is somewhat simple-minded. Once this obsession forms, it becomes even more terrifying.

However, if this obsession could be broken, no one would be able to take Water Liao away from him.

”Alright, I understand.” Ye Guichen already had an idea in his mind. He looked at Huo Yi and Liu Ruyi, then stepped forward to help Liu Ruyi up: ”Boss Liu, are you alright?”

Liu Ruyi was now terrified to the extreme of Yuan Shao.

Initially, Liu Ruyi had hoped to rely on Yuan Shao to escape Second Young Master Feng’s control, but she hadn’t expected that Yuan Shao was a maniac, who would stab her with a knife and treat it like a game.

With vacant eyes, Liu Ruyi looked at Ye Guichen, but when Ye Guichen tried to help her up, she quickly glanced towards Yuan Shao, as if she wouldn’t dare to move without his permission.

Yuan Shao, seeing Liu Ruyi look at him, immediately glared: ”Mr. Ye is helping you up, that’s an honor. Stand up now!”

Liu Ruyi trembled in fear and quickly stood up.

Yuan Shao then gave a fawning laugh and said to Ye Guichen: ”Mr. Ye, although Liu Ruyi is one of Second Young Master Feng’s people, from what I know, the Feng Family doesn’t really consider her one of their own. Even if the Feng Family finds out, they won’t care much. At most, Second Young Master Feng might come looking. But Second Young Master Feng is a nobody and not worth worrying about.”

His implication was very clear.

Liu Ruyi, after all, was beautiful. Although she was somewhat older, most men couldn’t resist her charms.

If Ye Guichen liked her, he could go ahead and enjoy himself worry-free.

Ye Guichen understood what Yuan Shao meant.

He had long wanted to clear out the underground casino, but he’d never found an opportunity. This situation with Yuan Shao now presented the chance to resolve it easily.

Without Liu Ruyi, the underground casino couldn’t operate.

Moreover, under Yuan Shao’s manipulation, most of the casino’s funds had been invested in Herbal Medicine Street. Without capital, could it still be called a casino?

Ye Guichen would later have someone assess the casino and clear out the people inside. That would be very simple.

”Yuan Shao, put on some clothes, and later join me at Herbal Medicine Street.” Ye Guichen wasted no words and looked at Huo Yi: ”As for her, keep an eye on her for now; I’ll need her later.”

Yuan Shao was elated: ”Mr. Ye, you’ve forgiven me? Wonderful, truly wonderful.”

”Forgiven you?” Ye Guichen sneered: ”You, in my eyes, are nothing more than a dog that might bite its master at any time. Why would I forgive you? Haha, let me be honest with you, I’m also interested in Sakura Falling. You can come with me, or you can try to trick me if you’re not afraid of dying.”

A direct humiliation.

Ye Guichen’s words left Yuan Shao no dignity.

Anyone else would have been infuriated by this, even to the point of going down fighting.

But Yuan Shao’s face only twitched slightly before turning submissively: ”I wouldn’t dare, Mr. Ye, how could I dare!”

This time Yuan Shao wasn’t lying.

Facing a Half-step Master, all schemes were just illusions; they wouldn’t be the least bit effective.

Whether in open or covert attempts, he couldn’t possibly harm such a person.

Yuan Shao wasn’t an idiot. He knew what choice to make.

After Yuan Shao left with Huo Yi, Ye Guichen asked Su Jiu’er to take Liu Ruyi to the hospital for some time to recuperate.

Liu Ruyi was very grateful, almost kneeling to thank Ye Guichen.

Ye Guichen then instructed Zhao Erdan to go and buy a large wooden tub and gather a variety of medicinal herbs.

Once everything was ready, Ye Guichen’s men placed Water Liao into the wooden tub.

”Boss, can this big guy really survive?” Zhao Erdan looked at Water Liao, whose body was covered in wounds and whose skin was nearly exploding, and couldn’t help but swallow hard.

Anyone would be startled by such a horrific sight.

Iron Hand also frowned, not believing that Ye Guichen could save Water Liao, or even if he did, Water Liao would be a major risk.

If he went berserk again and Ye Guichen wasn’t there, everyone’s lives would be in danger.

Ma Xiaoling, however, became incredibly excited.

She had never seen someone like Water Liao, who seemed born to become a corpse.

If Water Liao died, Ma Xiaoling was confident she could turn him into a very powerful Golden Armor Corpse.

He would be like a walking humanoid tank.

Of course, Ye Guichen didn’t want Water Liao to die. Without paying attention to others’ doubts, he asked Zhao Erdan, ”Have you prepared the herbs I asked for?”

”They’re ready.” Zhao Erdan quickly had several bags of herbs brought in.

Ye Guichen took a look and then instructed the people from the Medicinal Food Restaurant to start cooking the herbs in a large pot.

Each batch that was cooked, Ye Guichen had poured into the wooden tub.

The sight was chilling.

”Isn’t this boiling a person alive?” Zhao Erdan couldn’t bear to watch, and everyone at the Medicinal Food Restaurant, except Iron Hand, shrank back in fear.

Boiling someone alive was terrifying.

The process took nearly half a day.

Almost all the prepared herbs were used, and rather than being cooked, Water Liao’s skin began healing quickly before their eyes.

”My god, Boss, Boss, look, his skin is really healing!” Zhao Erdan exclaimed in shock.

Iron Hand also looked quickly.

His pupils shrank in disbelief.

As Water Liao’s skin began to heal, his eyes suddenly opened.

But his pupils were still red, resembling a beast that had lost its sanity.

Zhao Erdan wanted to approach but was so scared by Water Liao’s gaze that he fell backward with a thud.

”Roar!” Water Liao roared and stretched out his arms, breaking the sturdy wooden tub. The medicinal water spilled everywhere.

Iron Hand shouted in alarm: ”No, the beast’s gone wild again.”

Iron Hand had seen Water Liao’s prowess and, although he shouted, didn’t dare charge at him directly.

At this moment, Ye Guichen waved the bone in front of Water Liao: ”Water Liao, stay put.”
