Reborn In The 90's: Saving My Siblings With A Fishing System

Zhai Muchen did not think that there was anything wrong with what Han Ruochen did. If she agreed with what Old Madam Han said today, then there was a good chance that Han Ziyan would take advantage of the kindness that Old Madam Han showed her. He didn’t want such a thing to happen.

Han Ruochen had suffered enough all because of Han Ziyan’s attitude and personality. If she gave in again, then who could guarantee that Han Ziyan won’t do it again?

Surely she would only become even more despicable.

When Han Ruochen heard what Zhai Muchen said, her heart trembled with unknown emotions. All these years she had only heard that she needed to give in to Han Ziyan as she was the elder sister. Even her father often asked her to just give in because he thought that it was not a major thing.

From her dresses to her room, Han Ruochen had sacrificed a lot of things because of Han Ziyan. And yet all she heard was that it was okay to give in.

”Thank you.”

Zhai Muchen smiled upon hearing her gratitude. He raised his hand and patted Han Ruochen on the head. ”As I said, it is not necessary.”

Once Zhai Muchen was gone, Han Ruochen’s honest and innocent expression changed. She turned on her feet and headed straight to where Han Ziyan was admitted. When she arrived at the room, she was not surprised when Han Ruochen saw that the room was in chaos, with Han Ziyan destroying everything that she could find her hands on.

Leaning on the doorframe, Han Ruochen cocked an eyebrow. ”Ah, it seems like you are doing quite well. And here I thought you would be crying.”

Han Ziyan’s expression, which had calmed down, suddenly changed. She turned and glared at Han Ruochen with a look of sheer hatred in her eyes. ”You! How dare you come here? Are you here to laugh at me?”

”I am surprised that you are even asking such a thing.” Han Ruochen curled her lips. ”Of course, I am here to laugh at you.” Pushing herself off the doorframe, she sauntered inside and looked at the mess that Han Ziyan had made. Even the canned fruits that their mother had brought after much hassle were scattered on the floor. Han Ruochen clicked her tongue as she commented, ”What is this? Don’t tell me that you are no longer going to keep your docile and innocent pretence up?”

”Get lost.” Han Ziyan had no intention of talking with Han Ruochen. It was all her fault. Ever since this woman changed, nothing seemed to be going well for her. If anything, everything and everyone was standing against her. She was not in the mood to listen to Han Ruochen’s nonsense.

When Han Ruochen heard her response, she was not offended in the least. She simply curled her lips as if she were enjoying the sight in front of her. ”My, My, Ziyan. Since when did you turn so rude? Your elder sister came to see you, and you are actually asking me to get lost? You have really let me down.”

Han Ziyan gritted her teeth. At that moment, she hated Han Ruochen so much that she wished she could skin the person alive. Her expression turned somewhat unpleasant. She did not believe that Han Ruochen had no idea what had happened to her. She and Han Ruochen were not close; she must have visited Han Yong first. With how chatty Han Yong was being these days, he must have already told Han Ruochen what happened and yet the woman was here to mock her.

Han Ruochen was really too much. It was all because of her that she was in this situation. If not for her, would Yang Jianming target her? Of course not.

And yet she was being so inconsiderate of her. She had no shame.

Han Ruochen knew her half-sister too well. She knew that whatever Han Ziyan was thinking, it was nothing good. So, she did not even bother to think about it. ”It seems like you are upset with me.” She commented with a smile and continued as if she had no idea what was going on. ”I wonder why that is.”

The answer came in the form of an enamel mug, which Han Ruochen dodged.

”It seems you are quite excited about your marriage.”

”Han Ruochen!”

”There is no need to scream. I know that you are quite happy with what I have done for you... after all, if I had not given up, how could you marry Yang Jianming?” Looking up, she met Han Ziyan’s gaze and spoke with a smile.

Han Ziyan gripped the bedsheet tightly, her eyes glaring at Han Ruochen, who stood almost outside the ward. Her whole body was tense, but she did not say a word.

Han Ruochen, however, was not done.

”I wonder why you are feeling so upset? You worked so hard to win Yang Jianming over. And finally, you are getting married to him. So what is there for you to feel sorry about? Shouldn’t you be happy?” Han Ruochen spoke in a genuine manner; it was as if she was unaware of the fact that every word that she spoke was like the whispers of a devil to Han Ziyan.

Her body trembled uncontrollably as memories of the time when she was bullied all because of Han Ruochen and threatened into becoming Yang Jianming’s plaything replayed in her mind. Finally, she couldn’t help but interrupt with a shrill voice. ”Shut up! Shut up!”

Han Ziyan’s eyes were red; she stared intently at Han Ruochen, her voice trembling but resolute and filled with hatred.

”I don’t want to see you! I don’t want to listen to you. What have I done wrong? You know that I nearly died, and yet you actually came here to mock me. Have you lost your mind? Why would you do such a thing? What did I do wrong?”

Han Ziyan had been tense since she found out that she was pregnant. Like her mother, she hoped that she would be able to get rid of the child and live her life as if she had never been pregnant. But after the surgery, she knew that she could never get rid of the child in her belly, and with a child in tow, she could never abandon Yang Jianming either.

She screamed in a hoarse voice, as if trying to vent the pain and despair she had endured for the past few hours.
