Mana Revival: Starting by Sacrificing the Campus Belle!

Chapter 122: Chapter 110: A Way to Contact the Stronger, a Magical Machine

Inside Fang Xiu’s Gate World.

Fang Xiu was both curious and excited.

After all, this was something that had never appeared before.

He didn’t know what it was, but he knew it was definitely no ordinary item.

Fang Xiu wasn’t in a hurry and just waited.

Fortunately, the System didn’t make him wait too long.

After just a moment, the System responded.

Just like the first time it had run a diagnostic, the System produced a wall of text.

[Ding! Equipment Creation Machine detected. It will be scorned by any of the Deities it is Sacrificed to, as it is incapable of creating Divine Artifacts!]

”Equipment Creation Machine?”

Fang Xiu looked at the object before him, then back at the System’s notification.

At that moment, Fang Xiu understood.

’This thing is basically a Blacksmith?’

’It can create Equipment?’

”System, do you know how to use this Equipment Creation Machine?”

Fang Xiu had never asked the System about anything else before, but this time he had no choice.

This thing had never before appeared in this world.

The one before him was the very first of its kind.

And there was no instruction manual either.

To figure out how to use the Equipment Creation Machine, he could either ask the System or fumble his way through with trial and error using various materials.

Fang Xiu decided to try asking the System first to see if it knew.

[Equipment Creation Machine: To create Equipment, place the blueprints and required materials into the left slot, then press the start button. There is a chance of failure. Please proceed with caution.]

[Equipment Creation Machine: Capable of Equipment Enhancement, adding sockets, and socketing gems. To add a socket, place Equipment into the left slot and press the start button. To socket a gem, place the gem into the left slot, the Equipment into the right slot, and press the button.]

’This thing can not only create Equipment, it can even socket gems?’

Fang Xiu hadn’t expected it.

This Equipment Creation Machine was actually so powerful.

”Master, what are you smiling about?”

Kajimi watched her master beside her, staring and smiling at this unknown object.

She asked, somewhat puzzled.

”It’s nothing. I know what this is now!”

Fang Xiu smiled and shook his head.

After all, Kajimi didn’t know about the System.

That was why she just thought Fang Xiu was spacing out, staring at the thing with a silly grin.

”You know what it is, Master?”

Kajimi quickly asked.

Fang Xiu nodded, then told Kajimi the name of the object and its purpose.

”You’re saying this thing can create Equipment, Master?”

Kajimi had a look of disbelief on her face.

All this time, only Awakened with the Blacksmith Profession could create Equipment.

But now, a machine could actually create Equipment?

Wouldn’t that mean the Blacksmith Profession will be useless in the future?

”Not necessarily. After all, the Blacksmith Profession can create more high-Level Equipment. Plus, the Equipment they create has a chance of having rare Attributes or even a Skill.”

That was the advantage of a Blacksmith.

When they create Equipment, using the same materials, if they get lucky, it can come out with rare Attributes or a Skill.

That piece of Equipment would then be much more desirable and could be sold for a higher price.

As for this Equipment Creation Machine, while it could also create Equipment...

According to what the System subsequently told Fang Xiu...

This Equipment Creation Machine could only create Equipment according to blueprints, and the resulting Equipment would only have the most basic Attributes.

In other words, the things it created were all standard-issue.

There wouldn’t be any bonus Attributes, no rare Attributes, and no Skills.

It could only create exactly what’s on the blueprint Fang Xiu put in.

That’s why this thing can’t create Divine Artifacts.

Because Divine Artifacts are created when a Mutation occurs during the creation of normal Equipment.

Therefore, Divine Artifacts don’t have blueprints and cannot be created from them.

Aside from the single-use creation blueprints like the one Fang Xiu obtained, there are no Divine Artifact blueprints for crafting or learning.

This is what makes Divine Artifacts so precious.

Otherwise, other Blacksmiths could just gather the required materials and create Divine Artifacts at will.

Wouldn’t everyone have one then?

They would lose most of their value.

The reason Divine Artifacts are so precious is that their creation is a complete coincidence, requiring a great deal of luck.

Either you get lucky, like Fang Xiu, and obtain a single-use creation blueprint.

Or you get lucky and obtain a Divine Artifact directly, for example, as a drop from killing a Demon Beast or from opening a Treasure Chest.

Or the last way, which also requires luck: a Mutation occurs while a Blacksmith is creating Equipment.

So, no matter which method, it all requires a lot of luck.

And Fang Xiu was one of the lucky ones.

”But even if it can’t create Equipment with high Attributes or make Divine Artifacts, this machine can still produce any Equipment as long as you have the materials and blueprints. Right now, many high-Level pieces of Equipment are extremely rare, even those with just ordinary Attributes.”

Fang Xiu looked at the Equipment Creation Machine before him and said with a smile, ”And this thing can mass-produce high-Level Equipment, and even socket and Enhance them. That’s more than enough!”

”I see!”

Kajimi nodded slightly.

Although the Equipment Creation Machine might not put Blacksmiths out of a job, it did have advantages that Blacksmiths couldn’t match.

Mass-producing high-Level Equipment.

On this point alone, if Fang Xiu were to let word get out, countless people would be beating down his door, wanting to buy this machine from him.

Of course, Fang Xiu had no intention of letting word get out.

’Looks like it’s time to buy some blueprints and materials!’

Fang Xiu had been wondering what to do with his one hundred million Points.

Now he had a plan.

He planned to mass-produce high-Level Equipment.

That meant he needed to buy materials and blueprints.

Once he created the items, Fang Xiu could sell them at a high price.

His Points would only grow.

But Fang Xiu had only one goal in doing this: to get to know more high-Level Awakened.

Only then would Fang Xiu be able to get his hands on even more advanced things.

Some things couldn’t even be found on the Awakener Website.

He had already realized this when he received a Treasure Chest reward before.

Although plenty of people were selling things on the Awakener Website, there were no truly high-Level items available.

If Fang Xiu wanted better things, he needed to get in contact with more powerful Awakened.

Otherwise, unless his own strength reached a very high Level, he would have no way of accessing them.

BEEP BEEP BEEP...

Just as Fang Xiu was lost in thought, a phone call interrupted him.

He glanced at his phone; it was a call from an unknown number.

Fang Xiu hung up, but the person called back immediately.

It clearly wasn’t a wrong number.
