“Whoa, that’s impressive.”

The perk imprinted my Essence with a unique signature, making it impossible for anyone else to control. It was mine alone, absolute authority over what I created.

I exhaled and stood up. It was time to test my new abilities and see how much my class had changed me.

I walked over to the control panel and selected a level 30 training puppet.

With a low hum, the tiles at the center of the room parted, and a metallic figure rose from below. Its body was sleek and silver, its surface polished like liquid steel yet marked with faint etchings, as if intricate circuits were engraved into the metal.

The puppet’s joints moved with smooth precision, and a faint red glow pulsed from the seams between its plates.

On its chest, the number 30 blinked in bright crimson, signaling its combat level.

I went and stood in front of the puppet.

My thoughts moved toward my class.

Essence Noblesse granted me absolute authority over Essence.

But as I saw it, there were two types of Essence, one that I generated, now marked by my Sovereign’s Mark, and the other, the Essence that existed everywhere.

If I competed against someone like Edgar or Arkas in controlling raw Essence, I had no doubt they would win. Their comprehension and level were far higher than mine. But against anyone remotely close to my level, I would have the absolute advantage.

The question was, did my Sovereign’s Mark work only on the Essence inside me, or did it extend to the Essence I released into the world? Could someone else take control of my generated Essence once I let it go?

I had to find out.

Closing my eyes, I activated [Psynapse Boost] followed by [Essence Shaping].

A sharp clarity settled over me.

My perception stretched outward, my senses sharpening as I reached beyond myself.

The Essence in the air was everywhere, an invisible ocean of energy, flowing in unseen currents. I extended my will, feeling the faint stir of countless tiny energy particles zigzagging within the Essence, like sparks in a rolling mist.

I focused, pulling a portion of the Essence toward my palm. It obeyed instantly, swirling together in delicate spirals before settling into my grasp.

Opening my eyes, I watched the green wisps coil and twist, moving in slow, fluid rotations. I pressed my will against it, tightening the flow, condensing the strands. The Essence responded, drawing inward, the rotation becoming faster, more uniform.

What had been scattered mist now took form, a dense, concentrated sphere of pure Essence.

A soft vibration ran through my palm. The sphere carried a subtle weight, a pressure, like holding a compressed storm in my hand. The faster it spun, the smoother its edges became, constantly shifting but never breaking apart.

I refined it further, drawing the Essence tighter. The glow deepened into a rich, vibrant green. Strands of light trailed off its surface, only to be pulled back in by the continuous cycle of motion.

The sensation changed.

The more I compressed it, the more I felt resistance, like a ball of thick air pushing outward against my control.

I exhaled, keeping my focus steady.

Then, shifting my attention inward, I turned to the Essence Sphere floating within my core. I needed a better strategy for managing the Essence I was generating. Condensing it helped create space, but I needed something more structured, something sustainable. I decided to deal with that later.

For now, I had another test to conduct.

I nudged one of the concentrated Essence spheres within me, no bigger than a two-inch ball, and moved it toward my other extended palm. The Essence followed my will smoothly, flowing out of my core and up through my body.

As it reached my skin, it dispersed for a brief moment before pushing outward, manifesting in the open air.

But something was different.

The Essence that emerged was no longer green. It was purple.

“Well, that’s new.”

Surprised, I studied the Essence swirling above my palm. It was richer, denser. Different.

And I understood why.

This was the effect of Sovereign’s Mark. The moment my generated Essence left my body, it was no longer the same as the Essence floating freely in the world.

It was mine. Marked. Completely under my control.

I smiled.

A thought struck me. I was a creator, not just of skills, not just of techniques, but of something more fundamental.

Shaking my head, I focused again. I reached inward, drawing another concentrated sphere of green Essence from my core and guiding it into my palm.

Wisps of Essence coiled together, swirling into shape. Within moments, another sphere, deep violet and pulsing with controlled motion, spun above my left hand, mirroring the one on my right.

Now, in my right hand, a sphere of green Essence spun. On my left, a sphere of purple Essence.

Both rotated smoothly, their movements hypnotic, leaving faint traces of light in the air.

“So beautiful.”

A soft hum filled the room as the spheres continued to spin, held in perfect balance.

Then another thought surfaced, sharper this time.

“I could turn this into a skill.”

The idea sent a thrill through me. If I refined it, structured it, made the technique my own, I could gain an innate skill.

And right now, there was something else I needed to test.

Which Essence was stronger?

Or were they both the same?

I studied the silent puppet for a moment before taking a step back.

The increased clarity from my boosted Psynapse and my new class made it easier to maintain control over the spinning Essence spheres in my palms.

My gaze shifted to the faceless metal figure, its blank expression giving away nothing.

“Start.”

At my command, two red lights flared to life where its eyes should have been. A mechanical whir echoed through the room as the puppet stepped forward with smooth, precise movements.

I exhaled and lowered my stance, my eyes locking onto its every motion, tracking its approach.

The puppet lunged.

Its movements were fluid, eerily human-like, but I was ready. As its arm shot forward in a sharp thrust aimed at my torso, I sidestepped, letting the strike pass harmlessly by. The puppet’s momentum carried it forward just enough to give me an opening.

I focused on the spinning green Essence sphere hovering above my palm, keeping it steady with my will.

Twisting my body, I took a sharp step forward and drove my palm into the puppet’s chest.

The moment the sphere made contact, a deep hum resonated through the room.

The Essence churned violently, grinding against the puppet’s metallic frame like an invisible drill. Sparks flew as the metal resisted for a split second, then it gave way.

A circular dent formed where the sphere pressed, its edges smooth but eroded, the same size as the spinning Essence itself. The green glow flickered for a moment before the last remnants of energy dispersed into the air.

Then came the force.

A sharp burst of energy erupted from the point of impact, rippling outward like a shockwave. The puppet’s metal frame groaned under the pressure before it was sent hurtling backward.

It crashed against the far wall with a loud clang, leaving a faint dent where it landed before slumping forward, its glowing red eyes flickering.

I lowered my hand, exhaling. The strike had been far more effective than I expected.
