The Golem Mage

Somewhere in the wilderness near the Northern Kingdom lay a valuable mine deposit that was under the control of the Ancient Blaze Clan.

And to ensure its security, they had constructed a defense gate around the mine, Within the mine, the mages and miners carried out their daily work, not suspecting the events that were about to unfold.

And as they were engrossed in their tasks, a small space portal materialized near the city gate.

Emerging from this portal were five individuals adorned in there clan robes, each bearing the insignia of a Blade on the right pocket side.

However, it was the last person who exited the portal, that dressed distinctively, an that the sixth elder of the Fridall Clan.

”Why have you led us here now?, Our previous attempt to kidnap the Blaze Clan’s princess was a disastrous failure. What can we possibly achieve this time that will harm them?”

The blades clansman, with a massive sword strapped to his back, could not contain his anger.

They had been dispatched to the Northern Kingdom by their Outer Branch Elders, and the Fridall elder had forced them to masquerade as assassins and utilize their limited earth magic abilities, only to embarrass themselves further when their kidnapping mission ended in failure.

In response to the blades clansman’s outburst, the sixth elder of the Fridall Clan spoke with a cutting tone,

”This time, the four of you will assume the role of thieves. Since you have proven incapable of completing a simple task like kidnapping Aurora Blaze, prepare yourselves to stoop even lower as thieves.”

His words caused the remaining four mages to raise their eyebrows in anger and disbelief.

Their pride as great warriors was wounded, as they were being asked to adopt the role of mere thieves.

”What’s this absurdity?, Are you joking?” Another blades clansman exclaimed, his raised hands emphasizing his dramatic outburst.

”You either accept the deal or reject it. All the Ancient clans have mines scattered throughout the wilderness, heavily guarded to ensure their security. Our plan is to attack the Blaze Clan’s Mid Rank mines, inflicting damage on the reserves they have been saving for the clan.”

” This blow will be difficult for them to recover from, given the thousands of Blaze clansmen eagerly awaiting their share of the mine’s output for cultivation,” The Fridall’s clan elder explained, trying to persuade the blades clansman.

”Especially for their young geniuses, who depend on these monthly quotas. Imagine the advantage of temporarily reducing the Blaze Clan’s genius progress, and Consider how much stronger your own clan’s geniuses could have become in that time frame. ”the Fridall elder said

As the alarm of the city reverberated, the guards on the city gate had sensed their presence but were waiting to confirm if they were genuine clan members of the Blaze Clan.

Because Discovering the Blaze Clan’s mine deposit was a difficult task for any group of mages if they were not from the Blaze Clan.

However, the moment the Blades clansman unleashed his aura, the guards realized they were impostors and not mages sent by the Ancient Blaze Clan.

This prompted the sentry guard at the top of the gate to sound the horns, alerting the others.

The blades clansman, armed with a formidable Great Sword, turned to face the mage who had sounded the alarm.

”Why must the Blaze Clan always be so noisy?, Can’t you see we’re in the middle of something?” With that, he disappeared from the Blaze Clan sentry guard’s view in a flash.

And when the guard next saw him, he was standing next to him, his hand glowing with a growing energy akin to Qi sword.

The blades clansman swiftly swung his Qi sword, cutting the guard in half, and causing damage to the outpost as well.

The attack revealed their location to the rest of the mages who had emerged from the mine, due to the alarm.

Without hesitation, all of them rushed towards the outpost directly, fueling the Blades clansman’s anger. He clenched his teeth in frustration, bracing himself for the ensuing battle.

”Look on the bright side, you’re already here. All you need to do is kill them and destroy their mine deposit reserve, Hurry, we have more deposits to visit before they send high rank mages to guard there location,” the Fridall elder lectured, urging the blades clansman to act swiftly.

As the Blades clansman, faintly gripped his great sword, and plunged into the midst of the Blaze mages, as he relentlessly slaughtered every mage that crossed his path.

#At The Gordons Clan’s Front Gate#

The elder from the Blaze Clan gazed across at the fourth elder of the Gordons Clan in surprise. He had attempted to fight his way into the clan, hoping to draw the attention of the Patriarch.

However, he had underestimated the strength of the fourth elder, Even with his spirit equipments, the Blaze Clan elder couldn’t gain the upper hand against the Gordons Clan’s mage.

The fourth elder’s spear skills and the entanglement spells from the wooden golem that fought along side him made life miserable for the Blaze Clan elder.

If it weren’t for the fact that the fourth elder refrained from striking with the intent to kill, the Blaze Clan elder believed he might have been killed countless times over.

Finally, he managed to calm his rage and ceased his wild attacks.

”It seems you have finally calmed down. Are you ready to speak without fighting again?” The Grand Elder, who mysteriously appeared, shocked the Blaze Clan elder.

However, he had no interest in battling further, as he realized the vast gap between him and the fourth elder.

He felt If he had to face another elder, in addition to the fourth elder, he would undoubtedly suffer a resounding defeat.

”Yes,” the Blaze Clan elder answered as the Grand Elder had someone else lead him into the clan.

As the Blaze Clan elder disappeared from sight, the fourth elder approached the Grand Elder, his robe tattered from the battle.

”Was that really necessary?” the fourth elder asked, genuinely curious.

He had fought the Blaze Clan elder under the orders of the Grand Elder.

”Yes, it was crucial. We needed to deflate his arrogance before negotiating. Otherwise, he might have used his power of his clan to manipulate the situation. Your display of strength has put him in a more humble state,”

The Grand Elder replied, causing the fourth elder to regard him with a perplexed expression.

”Between you and that Fridall’s clan elder, I wonder who is craftier. You’re both foxes,” the fourth elder remarked, acknowledging the strategic prowess of both individuals.

”Never put me in the same column as that man. I am unique, the only one of my kind,” the Grand Elder replied, dismissing any comparison between himself and the Fridall’s clan elder.

With that, he levitated as he made his way to the meeting room of the Gordons clan.
