The Golem Mage

The mage struck Towards Alec with his Great Axe, the weapon fluctuating with some type of ethereal energy.

But before his axe could reach its target, another axe collided with it.

And Sparks of lightning erupted as the two Great Axes clashed.

Despite this, the Barrier Mage put more force into his attack, pushing the Butcher out of his way.

The Butcher collided with a nearby tree, groaning in pain as he got back on his feet, a smirk on his face.

He reached into his dark cloud chest and pulled out a small axe that looked to have Basic Runes engraved on them, and threw it towards the Barrier Mage.

The Small Axe spun towards the mage, accompanied by a small whirlwind as its speed increased.

The Barrier Mage was forced to divert his attention away from Alec once again.

He was Frustrated, and snorted In response while he moved backward.

”No need to act, Master, You don’t need to intervene, If it was just two mages, we would have had some problems taking care of them, But since it’s just one, just watch the golems show you their prowess,” Legion said to Alec,

who had been prepared to join the fight, but Upon hearing Legion’s words, he stopped, realizing that Titan was still standing by his side, showing no intention of attacking at all.

The remaining five golems circled the Barrier Mage, while Butcher, the Storm Bringer Axe Golem, kept him busy.

The encircle ment was starting to look like an attempt to imprison the Barrier Mage.

The Barrier Mage’s facial expression changed.

His Face that was once carefree now displayed seriousness.

Despite having more power than the Butcher, he had not been able to gain the upper hand.

In fact, it seemed the situation was turning against him.

As Butcher unleashed countless small one-handed axes towards him, propelled by small whirlwinds that increased their speed.

And Whenever he tried to repel or block them, they exploded with compressed thunder energy.

Although the explosions didn’t have a significant impact on him at first, but with each one, he began to feel the effects.

Numbness crept through him with every small axe that exploded on impact.

Butcher’s long-range battle plan proved to be quite a challenge.

He attempted to evade the next small axe, only to have it change direction mid-air and explode on his back.

It had boomeranged back towards him, prompting the Barrier Mage to realize that if he didn’t close the distance quickly, exhaustion might be his downfall.

Swiftly, he dashed towards Butcher, hoping to attack him before another small axe could be thrown.

But the sight of his approach only made Butcher grin mischievously.

Butcher picked up His Strom Bringer Axe he had dropped on the ground with two hands as lightning sparkle just from his touch and clashed with the Barrier Mage once again.

However, this time, no matter how much force the Barrier Mage exerted, he couldn’t push Butcher back.

His muscles were numb, feeling small electric currents coursing through his hands, disrupting his strength.

”Now it’s my turn, buddy,”

Butcher declared, twirling his axe and knocking the Barrier Mage backward.

He then slammed the handle of the axe on the mage’s face, causing him to stumble.

What followed was a display of axe techniques as Butcher laughed with each swing, dominating the Barrier Mage.

Desperate to stay alive, the mage resorted to his special ability of creating barriers and rebounding some of Butcher attacks.

He hoped that the electrical currents accumulating in his body would lessen.

However, with each passing minute of clashing with Butcher, he couldn’t help but feel inferior in terms of Axe techniques.

Butcher’s attacks were ferocious and untamed, yet deceptively beautiful to the onlooker.

Only those who faced Butcher would truly understand the terror of his assault.

Whenever Butcher’s attacks were met with a barrier, he infused his next strike with even more lightning until he eventually shattered the Barrier Mage’s defense.

”I think we can now confirm that even if you can fight him to a draw, you can’t defeat him quickly, And we’re running out of time, In fact, if we weren’t blocking his retreat options, you wouldn’t be able to keep him here,” Legion stated.

Butcher turned to the side and responded,

”Still, I had fun, I’ve been able to assimilate his Axe techniques into my own, After analyzing and absorbing the good parts, my technique will reach another level.”

But Legion wasn’t interested in wasting any more time.

He could already sense the presence of two other mages entering his detention Scanner about a hundred meters away.

If they heard the sounds of battle, they would undoubtedly come to investigate.

He turned to Sword Saint and nodded, signaling him to make the next move.

Sword Saint raised his hand into the air, summoning a sword intent surrounded by five different elemental Qi.

Alec’s eyes lit up with excitement.

This was exactly what he had been striving to achieve, a union between his sword intent and sword Qi without the Blood Killing Intent Included

And It seemed that his golem had gained recognition from both His sword intent and sword Qi.

As the revolving sword Qi energy merged with the glowing white sword intent, it transformed into a grey light sword.

Sword Saint grasped the sword in the air and unsheathed his great sword from its scabbard.

He then combined the two swords, causing his weapon to emanate a powerful grey light with great fluctuations.

Witnessing the rise of such energy from the sword, caused the Barrier Mage to become apprehensive.

He quickly erected seven barriers around himself, no longer concerned about the depletion of his Mana.

With his Mana pumped into the barriers, increasing their power, the green barrier appeared more solid than the ones he had previously used to deflect Butcher’s attacks.

However, Sword Saint seemed unaffected as he swung his sword, launching a grey slash directly towards the barrier.

All eyes were fixed on the slash in that moment, even the Barrier Mage, who had faith in his barriers, held his breath, praying and hoping that they would withstand the slash.

And as the grey light made contact with the first barrier, it came to a halt with a loud crack.

Witnessing this, the Barrier Mage, who had enclosed himself within the barrier, let out a sigh of relief.

”Don’t be so easily carried away, My sword never ceases until it strikes something,” Sword Saint remarked calmly as he sheathed his sword back to its scabbard.

At that very moment, the crack widened, and the first barrier shattered.

To the astonishment of the Barrier Mage, the grey slash seemed to absorb the energy released from the broken barrier, growing even stronger as it pressed forward.

Breaking through the next barrier effortlessly, its power and speed escalated with each barrier it destroyed.

Now in a state of panic, the Barrier Mage shouted, infusing the remainder of his Mana into the barrier without concern for the consequences.

All he desired now was to emerge from this ordeal unscathed.

He discarded the barriers from all directions, reinforcing the side from which the grey sword’s slash was approaching.

Beads of sweat formed on his forehead as he knelt on one knee, exerting every effort to fend off the sword slash.

Fortunately for him, the sword slash vanished upon reaching the final barrier.

”Tsk! This fool wasted so much time, allowing my sword’s duration to finish, Quite clever, but you forgot that I’m not the only one you’re facing,” Sword Saint chuckled,

lightly nudging the mage with his head.

As the Barrier Mage turned to look behind him, he was struck on the head with the handle of the Stormbringer axe, rendering him unconscious.

Butcher grinned and searched the mage’s body, collecting anything of value, including his space ring.

”Master, we should depart now, I can sense five Mage signals rapidly approaching, and we won’t be able to hold them off,” Legion advised urgently.

Upon hearing this, Alec nodded, and they vanished from the area without making a sound.

With the unconscious body of the Barrier Mage lying motionless on the ground, one would never have guessed that a fierce battle had taken place there, if not for all the sparks of electricity and the Barrier Mage’s body.
