”Sister, don’t fall, sit here.” Seeing Qi Nichang looking dizzy and about to fall, Quan Qiyang supported her to kneel down next to Chen Mo’s right hand.

Chen Mo knew that some people couldn’t drink at all, and would get flushed after a sip. He thought Consort Yu was one of those people, so he didn’t find her appearance strange.

Quan Qiyang was intent on building a bridge for his sister, continuously encouraging the two to drink, and the wine he poured for his sister had been spiked in advance. It could trigger desires and make people bolder.

Qi Nichang felt dizzy, her body warm and restless, suddenly shy and anxious, even her fair neck turned red. And then, as if by a spell, she leaned into Chen Mo’s arms, but soon regained some clarity and quickly tried to push away, only for her waist to be held tight by Chen Mo.

Chen Mo wasn’t slow-witted; a beauty was throwing herself into his arms, so why pretend to be a gentleman?

However, with Quan Qiyang nearby, he just held her without taking advantage.

”Let... go of me...” Qi Nichang struggled.

Chen Mo thought she was playing hard to get, as the next second her hands were around his neck.

Quan Qiyang felt the atmosphere was just right, coughed lightly, and said, ”Prince, I... drank too much, need to use the bathroom, Sister, accompany Prince Zhen Nan.”

After speaking, Quan Qiyang stepped out of the hall and dismissed all the maids outside.

He glanced back at the dimly lit hall and thought, ”I’ve done this much, surely this will work?”

...

In the hall, seeing Quan Qiyang leave, Chen Mo no longer restrained himself, lowered his head and kissed her forehead, while she clumsily responded.

Seeing her more eager than himself, Chen Mo couldn’t help but chuckle, pinched her chin, and bent down to kiss those tender, luscious lips.

”Mmm...” Consort Yu’s eyes widened slightly, hands patting Chen Mo’s shoulder, seemingly holding onto a sliver of sanity, but the next second she surrendered, her eyes filled with mist, collapsing into Chen Mo’s embrace.

While kissing, Chen Mo’s eyes wandered and found a side room for resting next to the hall.

Chen Mo picked up Consort Yu and entered the side room.

The room was simply furnished, with only a small bed and a table.

The bed’s blanket was new, likely just prepared.

Chen Mo placed Consort Yu on the bed, first removing his own clothes, then unwrapped Consort Yu’s attire, and began to...

...

...

A meeting of golden wind and jade dew, surpassing countless earthly affairs.

The night quietly faded as dawn arrived, the warm spring sunlight shining above the Qi Mansion.

Qi Nichang lay sideways inside the small bed, slowly opened her autumn-water eyes, her face slightly stiff as she stared at the face of the man still holding her.

Last night...

She remembered toasting Chen Mo, the wine was strong, she only drank a cup before feeling its effects, her body heating up, then she fell into Chen Mo’s arms...

Qi Nichang wasn’t a fool, soon realizing that the wine had been drugged.

Who was behind it?

Her first thought was Chen Mo, as he had taken her innocence.

But then she thought it wrong, for when her brother poured the wine, it was still sealed.

Moreover, with her brother beside her, he saw everything yet didn’t stop it, meaning only one thing...

The drug was from her brother.

Why would her brother do this?

Was he forced, or looking to gain favor?

Qi Nichang’s mind was meticulous, after some thought, she felt her brother was likely coerced.

For Chen Mo was no good man.

Princess De Ning, Consort Jing, even the Empress Dowager, had all fallen to him, how could she escape his clutches by his side?

However...

Even knowing the truth was useless, could she really defy him?

Even if she broke free, he could easily suppress it.

Not only that, her brother and she would both suffer.

Looking at the man in front of her, Qi Nichang felt indignation and anger, but what to do next was her concern.

At that moment, Chen Mo also awoke, seeing her rosy cheeks, he immediately kissed her forehead, caressing her cheeks and said, ”I understand your feelings completely, don’t worry, I will treat you well in the future. In a few days, you’ll enter the household with Xiyue and Jingyun.”

Saying so, Chen Mo recollected something, propped himself up, retrieved his robe from under the bed, and found the hairpin prepared for Qi Nichang, saying, ”Nichang, here, a meeting gift for you.”

Qi Nichang’s mind buzzed at that moment.

What feelings?

What entering the household?

What was he even talking about?

Seeing Qi Nichang’s hesitation, Chen Mo patted his forehead, ”Right, I should have discussed this with your brother.”

Chen Mo tousled Qi Nichang’s hair, then got up to dress, saying, ”I have to go, I will send someone on behalf of the Prince’s Mansion to formally propose soon.”

After tidying up, seeing Qi Nichang still in shock, Chen Mo leaned in to kiss her red lips, ”Nichang, next time we’ll meet at Prince Zhen Nan’s Mansion.”

Finishing, he left.

Exiting the Qi Mansion, Chen Mo ran into Quan Qiyang, who would be his brother-in-law soon, and politely said, ”Brother Quanyang, I’ll send someone to propose and deliver bride price soon, in a few days Nichang will enter with Xiyue.”

Seeing his plans succeed, Quan Qiyang sighed in relief, ”Prince, I’ll leave my sister in your care.”

”Of course.” Chen Mo firmly patted Quan Qiyang’s shoulder, indicating no problem, then said, ”I have matters to attend to, we will chat later.”

”Prince, let me see you out.”

...

After seeing Chen Mo off, Quan Qiyang whistled to find his sister, thinking that after helping her with such a big deal, she ought to thank him.

Arriving just outside the hall, he saw his sister emerge, holding a torn bedsheet with a red stain.

Spotting her brother, Qi Nichang quickly bunched the sheet into her sleeve, greeted him first, and questioned, ”Brother, was he the one who forced you?”

”Hmm?” Quan Qiyang was puzzled, but didn’t dwell on it, instead said, ”Sister, the Prince intends to marry you, he promised me himself, Sister, you will get what you wished for.”

Qi Nichang: ”???”

”Brother, what are you talking about? What wish fulfilled?”

”Sister, stop pretending, I know everything, Mo Lang, isn’t that what you call the Prince?” Quan Qiyang said.

”No, Brother, what are you talking about? Mo Lang?” Qi Nichang was even more bewildered, what was all this nonsense.
