Cultivation Simulator: Starting From The Empress' Palace

Qingdu Town indeed had businesses owned by the Wu Family, and they were quite substantial. There was a three-story grocery shop selling everything from firewood, rice, oil, vinegar to silk, and rouge.

On the surface, Chen Mo and the others were buying rouge, but in private, Xin’Er was negotiating with the shopkeeper.

A quarter of an hour later, Chen Mo and the others walked out of the grocery shop with smiles on their faces.

To avoid suspicion, Chen Mo took Xin’Er and the others to several other silk and rouge shops, even to places selling embroidery, spending about a quarter of an hour in each shop.

Then they went to a famous restaurant in Qingdu Town, ordered all the specialty dishes, and after a hearty meal, they leisurely returned to their inn as the sky darkened.

Various factions, always observing Chen Mo and his group, were puzzled by this behavior. What was Prince Zhen Nan doing? Just eating, drinking, and having fun all day.

However, some people speculated the same as Chen Mo did previously. They knew Chen Mo came to Qingdu Town with a purpose, not by accident. They connected it to the Nan Zhou Treasure, wondering if it might be in Qingdu Town, and their speculation grew. They said that when Chen Mo first arrived in Qingdu Town, he went to the seaside, guessing if the Nan Zhou Treasure might be hidden on some island offshore.

So, some people started taking action, preparing ships, so they could set sail immediately if the speculation proved correct.

As everyone was waiting for Chen Mo to make a move, Chen Mo and his group remained calmly in Qingdu Town for two more days, strolling along the seaside as if they were there on vacation.

Meanwhile, Chen Mo also noticed that many strangers had arrived in Qingdu Town over the past two days.

On the third day, when some people began to lose patience, Chen Mo and his group finally took action.

Early in the morning, before the sky fully brightened, Chen Mo went to the seaside, took out a small boat he had prepared, which he had bought from a fisherman and had the fisherman bring over the previous night.

Wu Xin’Er, Jiang Ruoqing, and Ji Xi’Er boarded the boat. Chen Mo and Old He used a wooden plank as an oar, steering the small boat out of the harbor, heading towards Qingdu Island amidst the waves.

The morning sea breeze was strong, with choppy waves and a hazy mist over the sea. It was easy for an ordinary person without experience to get lost, but for Chen Mo, it posed no problem.

The sun hung high, and by noon, they finally saw the outline of Qingdu Island.

”Miss, someone has already landed on the island ahead of us,” Old He pointed to a fishing boat hidden among distant rocks, its bow exposed possibly due to the sea breeze or something else, and said.

Wu Xin’Er looked over, her expression changing slightly. The fishing boat was hidden among several rocks, very well concealed. If not for the exposed bow, it would have been hard to spot.

”Just as you thought, someone has probably guessed that the Nan Zhou Treasure is related to this island,” Jiang Ruoqing glanced at Chen Mo.

Chen Mo swept his eyes over the dense forest on the island and said, ”The island doesn’t look big, but the vegetation is lush and the terrain complex. Even if they landed in advance, without knowing the exact location, they won’t find it easily.”

After landing on the island, Chen Mo took out four Red Sun Bells from his backpack.

The walls of the four Red Sun Bells were etched with peculiar lines that, when combined, formed a route. Not knowing the exact location of the Nan Zhou Treasure before, this route was of no use.

Now that they had landed, they just needed to find the reference points marked by the Red Sun Bell to locate where the Nan Zhou Treasure was buried.

Everyone crowded forward to examine it. Jiang Ruoqing looked at the patterns on the Red Sun Bell, glanced over the island, and finally pointed at a conspicuously large rock in the forest, ”Could it be that?”

”It should be,” Chen Mo grasped the hilt of Tianwen and said, ”Let’s go check it out.”

They all nodded and followed.

But suddenly, Wu Xin’Er noticed Ji Xi’Er had stopped moving. After calling out a few times without response, she only followed after Chen Mo called her.

Chen Mo’s eyes flickered slightly, but he said nothing.

Once close, Chen Mo leaped onto the large rock, then, centering himself on the rock and using the route map obtained from the Red Sun Bell, a smile appeared on his face, ”Found it, follow me.”

Chen Mo jumped off the rock and headed towards the depths of the forest.

...

...

Chen Mo and the others had reached the highest point on the island. Ahead was a cliff, and below the cliff were raging waves. According to the route indicated by the Red Sun Bell, this was the spot.

”Husband, could we have made a mistake?” There was nothing here, only hard stone beneath their feet. To Wu Xin’Er, the treasure was either buried underground or hidden in some secret cave, and it required a key to unlock the Treasure Vault. But obviously, this place didn’t match any of those ideas.

Chen Mo turned to glance at Ji Xi’Er and suddenly noticed a trace of astonishment flash in her eyes before she shook her head.

”Could it be that we selected the wrong reference point, hence the route is incorrect as well?” Jiang Ruoqing asked.

”But if it’s not that rock, then what could it be?”

”Could there be some mechanism that needs to be activated?” Old He suddenly suggested.

Everyone hurriedly began searching the area, but after half an hour, they still found nothing.

”Husband, could it be possible that the Nan Zhou Treasure is not on this island at all?” Wu Xin’Er speculated.
