Cultivation Simulator: Starting From The Empress' Palace

Young Master Hu, named Hu Xian.

Born into a noble family, he is the nephew of Hu Sheng, the current Prime Minister, and the brother of the Empress Dowager of the Western Palace, making him a notorious playboy in Bianliang City.

Even when Hu Sheng was still the Minister of Rites, he was a famous playboy in Bianliang City. After Hu Sheng was promoted to Prime Minister, Hu Xian’s behavior became even more outrageous.

Because he is Hu Sheng’s nephew, hardly anyone in Bianliang City dares to provoke him these days.

Therefore, his appearance instantly garnered much attention and adoration from the crowd.

But when Lianyi on the high platform saw Hu Xian, she shuddered.

Hu Xian is also a regular at the Qinyun Tower, so Lianyi heard from the sisters who served him that Hu Xian had some rather perverse tastes.

Not only does he enjoy group activities, but he also doesn’t follow the normal path.

He also likes to tie people up with ropes and whip them...

However, because he’s generous with his money, Hu Xian’s peculiar interests haven’t spread widely.

Hu Xian opened his folding fan, gently fanning himself as he approached, looking at the beauty on the stage with eyes glinting as if he was determined to have her.

If an ordinary person were to bid ten thousand taels.

Perhaps someone would compete against him, given that there are many playboys present.

But the bidder was Hu Xian, whose uncle was just appointed Prime Minister yesterday, so face must be given.

So no one bid further.

The madam’s face turned a bit unpleasant because ten thousand taels were far from her expected price, but she dared not oppose Hu Xian, so she smiled charmingly and said:

”It seems like tonight, Lianyi will be accompanying Young Master Hu.”

”No, no.” Young Master Hu closed his folding fan, swept his gaze over the crowd, and immediately laughed: ”Everyone here is wealthy. If any of you fancy Miss Lianyi, feel free to bid. Do not worry about my uncle being the current Prime Minister; I’m not a petty person.”

The madam: ”...”

The crowd exchanged looks, once again praising Hu Xian, but still, no one placed a bid.

They are not fools; to believe Hu Xian’s words would be ridiculous.

Hu Xian chuckled sinisterly, just about to wave his hand for his men to carry the beauty from the stage to a room when...

”Twenty thousand taels.”

Suddenly, a voice rang out from behind.

The crowd turned to look and saw a handsome young man in a light cyan brocade robe making his way forward, flanked by several burly men.

The young ladies present, upon seeing the handsome young man, couldn’t help but reveal shy, blushing looks of attraction on their pretty faces.

Simply because this man was too handsome.

”Who is he?”

”I’ve never heard of him, but he’s quite bold to dare compete with Young Master Hu.”

”Looks like there’s going to be a good show.”

The crowd whispered among themselves.

Someone wanting to ingratiate themselves with Hu Xian immediately shouted boldly, ”Which family’s young master are you? Are you blind? How dare you compete with Young Master Hu?”

Hu Xian also furrowed his brow; as a famous playboy in Bianliang City, he had no impression of this person in his memory.

”Young Master, allow me to teach this insolent person a lesson,” the burly man behind the young man whispered.

The young man shook his head, smiled, and said, ”Didn’t Young Master Hu say we could bid freely? Or is it that Young Master Hu can’t handle a loss?”

The young man’s gaze turned towards Hu Xian.

Hu Xian furrowed his brow again, but with great composure, he smiled and said, ”Thirty thousand.”

”Forty thousand taels.” The young man extended four fingers.

”Forty-one thousand taels,” Hu Xian said.

”Fifty thousand,” the young man called out again, unhurriedly.

The entire room was taken aback.

This young man was indeed brave. He really intended to defy Young Master Hu?

Hu Xian’s goons had already rolled up their sleeves; with just one command from Hu Xian, they would absolutely beat the young man senseless.

Lianyi on the high platform lifted the round fan covering her face a bit, her charming face glowing rosy, and her eyes shining with some kind of dreamy sparkle.

Although the bidding for her first night was meant to go to the highest bidder.

If the highest bidder was unsightly or an old man, she would inevitably feel uncomfortable serving him.

If it was someone good-looking, she’d be more content and joyful in serving him.

If given a choice, she would naturally prefer her first night to be with someone handsome and wealthy.

”Fifty-one thousand taels.”

Hu Xian’s face turned somewhat sullen.

He was a playboy, and his family was wealthy.

However, if his uncle found out he spent over fifty thousand taels on sleeping with a courtesan for just one night, he would undoubtedly face punishment and confinement.

But giving up would be too embarrassing.

So, his tone turned sarcastic: ”You, sir, seem unfamiliar. May I know your name? I’m Hu Xian, the nephew of the current Prime Minister Hu Sheng.”

Nonetheless, the handsome young man didn’t bother giving face and extended his hand again, saying, ”Sixty thousand taels.”

”You...” Hu Xian’s face turned completely dark.

Some well-intentioned people in the crowd also advised the young man to stop, but instead of listening, he smiled and said, ”Has Young Master Hu run out of money?”

”You’re courting death.” Hu Xian couldn’t bear it any longer, shouting, ”Beat him for me, beat him to death.”

”Yes.”

Hu Xian’s goons, used to acting high and mighty with Hu Xian, were already irritated by the young man’s arrogance. Upon hearing their master’s command, they charged at the young man without hesitation.

However, the young man, though looking like a fair-skinned boy, was remarkably fierce and ruthless, and his subordinates were no weaklings either.

In just a few swift moves, they took care of Hu Xian’s men.

”What... what do you want to do?” Hu Xian watched the young man approach and paled instantly.

He was a Martial Artist, but only a Seventh Grade one.

The guards assigned to him were Sixth Grade, with the head guard being Fifth Grade, and now even they were no match for the young man; he wouldn’t stand a chance.

”Want to do what?” the young man chuckled; the other party wanted to beat him to death, so how could he not teach him a lesson? He then raised his hand, placing it in front of Hu Xian, and said, ”What is this?”

”You want to hit me?” Hu Xian’s face changed, and he immediately shouted arrogantly, ”If you dare hit me, your whole family will...”

”Slap!” Before he finished speaking, the young man slapped him hard across the face, producing a loud sound.

”You guessed right, but no prize,” the young man said with a smile.

The crowd was dumbfounded.

However, they were collectively mourning for the young man. By making a move, he had truly offended Hu Xian.

With Hu Xian backed by Hu Sheng, aside from the Xiao Family and several other great aristocratic families, few would dare provoke him.

The madam’s face turned exceedingly sour: ”It’s over, we’re done for.”

No one expected such a thing to happen on a courtesan’s first night.

This young man must have had the courage of a bear, to dare hit even Hu Xian; does he not wish to live anymore?

Afraid that Hu Xian, in his anger, might take it out on Qinyun Tower, she quickly told the young man, ”This young master, we are not doing business with you today, please leave quickly.”

”Not doing business with me is fine, but since I placed the highest bid tonight, Miss Lianyi must accompany me,” the young man said, frowning. What was wrong with this madam? He hadn’t offended her.

”I already said we are not doing business with you; your bid doesn’t count,” the madam said, now concerned with Hu Xian, as the young man’s slap had left a mark on Hu Xian’s face.

”Ha,” the young man chuckled. ”I see you really don’t want to do business. Very well, I wasn’t planning on paying anyway!”

Saying this, he swiftly dashed onto the high stage, picking Lianyi up in his arms and placing her over his shoulder.

Lianyi squealed slightly, a bit flustered.

The audience was also in shock, never expecting the young man would brazenly snatch her.

Where did this young lad come from, so ignorant of rules?

But strangely, no one dared to stop him, given that he had already dared to confront Young Master Hu.

Seeing the young man about to leave, Hu Xian rubbed his aching right cheek and said in a deep voice, ”You can count yourself tough today, but if you dare, state your name.”

The young man turned back with a smile: ”My name is Chen Mo, nephew of Chen Hong, the current Deputy Commander of the Infantry Division.”
