Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 281: Chapter 294: Investigating Boss Mu?

In Lin Junyang’s eyes, his elder sister had always been as strong as a fortress. He had never seen her so vulnerable, ”Sis, if you feel bad, just cry. I won’t laugh at you. Or, you can use my shoulder?”

Lin Ruonan looked out the car window and said softly, ”Junyang, do you really think I’m not as good as that little girl?”

”Sis, matters of the heart are about fate. Maybe you and Boss Mu just don’t have that fate.”

Lin Junyang sighed inwardly. In terms of background, looks, talents, and abilities, his elder sister was impeccable, but how could feelings be measured by these? Boss Mu’s feelings for Tuzi could only be described with one term: love at first sight.

”Ha, fate,” Lin Ruonan laughed bitterly, ”I have loved him for nearly twenty years, followed him for twenty years, and in the end, all my feelings for him were erased by one word - fate. Junyang, why? Why must it be this way to me?”

”Sis, feelings are mutual. If Brother Mu doesn’t feel the same way about you, no matter how much you love him, it’s just your own affair. After so many years, can’t you see it clearly?” Although his words were a bit cruel, Lin Junyang still said them. At this point, if she continued to be obsessed, it would only hurt her more deeply.

”I don’t believe it. I don’t believe Xingfeng would change. As for An Ran, I met her before. She clearly told me there was nothing between them. How could they become a couple in just a few months? Moreover, in the past two months, Xingfeng has been carrying out missions with me.”

”What? You met Tuzi before?” Lin Junyang stepped on the brakes and stopped the car by the roadside, looking at his sister incredulously.

”Sis, why did you meet Tuzi? It’s not what I’m thinking, right?” Lin Junyang shivered as he thought about what they might have said to each other.

Lin Ruonan nodded, ”I just wanted to confirm what her relationship with Xingfeng was. Besides, Grandpa said Xingfeng had already accepted Grandpa Mu’s suggestion. If he still didn’t have a girlfriend by the Chinese New Year holiday, he would get engaged to me. I was afraid something would happen, so...”

”Sis, you are really muddled. Who is Boss Mu? Would he promise Grandpa Mu something he wasn’t sure of? When he agreed to Grandpa Mu, he must have already been confident that he would find a suitable girlfriend before Chinese New Year. If I’m not mistaken, Boss Mu had already planned to bring Tuzi home for the New Year.” Lin Junyang sighed. Women in love truly become less intelligent. Even his smart and wise sister could make such a low-level mistake.

”Sis, you mustn’t let Boss Mu know that you met Tuzi. Otherwise, you won’t even be able to be friends anymore. But from what I see, Tuzi doesn’t seem like someone who would sell you out.” Lin Junyang recalled the scene they just met, An Ran’s reaction showed it was her first time meeting his sister.

”That’s exactly what puzzles me. Junyang, do me a favor. Help me find out what happened during this time, why that young girl suddenly agreed to be Mu Xingfeng’s girlfriend?”

”Investigate Boss Mu?” Lin Junyang’s voice suddenly rose, ”Sis, spare me. You know how scared I am of him. I don’t dare investigate him.”

”Junyang...”

”Sis, even if you beat me to death, I won’t investigate Boss Mu,” Lin Junyang knew what his sister wanted to say and decisively stopped her words. He started the car and focused on driving.
