Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 258: Chapter 271: Acclimatization Problem

Mu Xingfeng hugged her tightly and asked anxiously, ”What’s wrong?”

An Ran shook her head vigorously while blinking her eyes hard, as if trying to shake her head clear, but it only made things worse. Her dizziness increased.

”I don’t know, my head is so dizzy, worse than being drunk.”

An Ran blinked her big eyes and looked at Mu Xingfeng pitifully.

Mu Xingfeng frowned, helped the little girl to lie down on the bed, touched her forehead with one hand, and felt his own forehead with the other. There was no temperature difference, it wasn’t a fever, then why was she dizzy?

At this moment, the bedroom door was suddenly pushed open. A man wearing gold-rimmed glasses and carrying a medical kit said breathlessly, ”Young Master Mu, is it a relapse of the gunshot wound?”

Mu Xingfeng glanced disdainfully at Yuan Ye’s disheveled appearance and said, ”Knock next time.”

Yuan Ye looked at the door he was holding and then at Mu Xingfeng. He had always come this way before, and Young Master Mu had never minded.

While thinking this, he heard Mu Xingfeng speak again, ”Come here, check her. She’s always dizzy.”

Yuan Ye then noticed there was another person in the room, lying on Young Master Mu’s bed. More importantly, the person on the bed was a young and delicate girl.

It’s no wonder he was oblivious. Not only had no woman ever come into Mu’s villa, even the servants were all men.

So, when he received the call, his first thought was Mu’s gunshot wound needing his attention, hence he didn’t look around much upon entering.

Seeing Mu Xingfeng’s face full of worry, the gossip fire in Yuan Ye’s heart burned fiercely.

Although intensely curious, as Mu Xingfeng’s family doctor and friend, he knew better and quickly came to the bed, opened the medical kit, and started examining An Ran.

Yuan Ye measured her temperature, checked her blood pressure, examined her tongue, and asked detailed questions about her diet over the past two days. If it had been Mu Xingfeng himself, he would have kicked Yuan Ye away a long time ago.

But facing the pale An Ran, Mu Xingfeng only worried that Yuan Ye’s questions were not thorough enough.

Upon hearing Mu Xingfeng ask about An Ran’s diet, he suddenly remembered the previous medication An Ran took and asked directly.

Yuan Ye’s expression turned subtle for a moment but quickly returned to normal. He shook his head, ”It’s not because of that. The medication used in the hospital has already neutralized the effects, it won’t have any side effects anymore. Where is Miss An’s home?”

”Pingxi City, C Province,” An Ran said.

”Hmm, that makes sense. Miss An has some nutritional deficiency, causing anemia and low blood pressure. Plus, the water and soil difference in the Imperial City worsened her dizziness. I’ll prescribe you some medication. Increase your nutrition intake and rest for a few days, and you’ll be fine.”

”How did you end up with nutritional deficiency?” Hearing the words ’nutritional deficiency,’ Mu Xingfeng’s face darkened, looking at An Ran with exploration and a hint of heartache.

Yuan Ye glanced at Mu Xingfeng and scratched his nose, ”Uh, I’ll go prescribe Miss An’s medication.”

Then he left the bedroom.

An Ran dared not lift her head under Mu Xingfeng’s scrutinizing gaze, keeping her head down and tightly clasping her hands together.

Mu Xingfeng sat beside her, holding her small hands in his, his tone softened, ”What’s the matter? Not eating properly at school, hmm?”

The last word had a rising tone that made An Ran unable to avoid his question.
