Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 71: Chapter 81: Did He Find Out?

Lin Ruonan had been observing Mu Xingfeng. Mu Xingfeng stared at the young waitress for a full eight seconds, whereas he never looked at her for more than two seconds. Just as she was about to study what was so special about the waitress, she heard Mu Xingfeng speak.

She didn’t expect Mu Xingfeng to seek her opinion, feeling a bit flattered, but she still remained calm and casually said, ”Okay.”

At the same time, she thought to herself, So he was just considering what to drink. Looks like I was being too sensitive.

An Ran also secretly let out a sigh of relief: Master Mu, if you want to make a recommendation, just say it. Staring at a nervous person like that, my heart really can’t take it, okay?

But on the surface, she still professionally made recommendations to the two of them.

Adhering to the principle of ladies first, An Ran gave a slight smile to Lin Ruonan, ”Cappuccino and latte are both very suitable for girls, especially the latte. It’s made with one-fourth espresso, half milk, and one-fourth milk foam. The strong milk flavor makes it worth a try for the lady.”

”Okay,” Lin Ruonan responded.

At twenty-four, she was born into a military family. From her grandfather’s generation, her life had been orderly, though financially secure.

Especially after making it her goal to follow in Mu Xingfeng’s footsteps, she devoted herself entirely to study. She had no choice; Mu Xingfeng was highly intelligent and exceptional, so she could only make up for her shortcomings with diligence.

Later, seeing Mu Xingfeng join the Guard Team, she followed closely behind. The days in the team made her miss out on many of the joys a girl should experience.

But she never regretted it; as long as she could stand by this man’s side, it was all worth it.

”What about me?” Mu Xingfeng’s magnetic and elegant voice sounded, tinged with a hint of laziness.

”You?” An Ran’s mischievous eyes darted around, and she smiled, ”This gentleman could try an Espresso.”

Espresso, also known as Italian-style concentrated coffee, can invigorate you for a whole day with just a small cup. For coffee lovers, the thick taste and bitterness on the palate are an ultimate delight. For those who don’t usually drink coffee, it’s more painful than taking traditional Chinese medicine.

Mu Xingfeng looked at An Ran’s bright, mischievous eyes. Although her smile was standard, there was a slyness in her eyes, like a cat that had stolen a fish. His heart was struck by a wave of tenderness.

This cheeky girl actually introduced him to the world’s bitterest coffee. Had he ever bullied her?

Mu Xingfeng knew something about coffee. He asked An Ran to recommend something just to hear her talk more. Her voice was really pleasant to hear, but this girl rarely spoke much in front of him.

Even though he was a bit displeased, Mu Xingfeng still calmly said, ”Fine, then Espresso it is.”

An Ran returned to the bar. In a short while, the barista had prepared a latte and an espresso, placing them on a tray along with some water, sugar cubes, and milk pods, and handed the tray to An Ran.

An Ran glanced over the tray and calmly placed the sugar cubes and milk pods back on the counter.

”An Ran, what are you doing?” the barista asked in confusion.

”The customer wants just the taste of the espresso. How could we add these?” An Ran replied as a matter of course.

”But it’s the rule of the café. We must serve sugar cubes and milk pods with the coffee ordered by the customers,” the barista kindly explained, thinking An Ran might be unaware of the rule since she was new.

”It’s fine, Jiajia, it’s what that customer prefers. There won’t be any mistake,” An Ran said, then carried the tray to Mu Xingfeng’s table. After placing everything correctly, An Ran returned to the bar, but her eyes kept drifting towards Mu Xingfeng from time to time.
