Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 59: Chapter 69: She Really is a Heartless Wench

But saying this yourself indeed isn’t appropriate, you can only ask the class monitor to speak a good word for you.

”No need for you to treat,” Lu Yi kept chuckling.

”Why?” An Ran was doubtful. Given Guo Xinyi and Sun Beibei’s actions towards her, they definitely wouldn’t miss this good opportunity.

”Our class is ranked first in the whole grade, so this treat is on me.” Lu Yi said over the phone.

”First... first? So I didn’t affect the class’s overall score?” An Ran still found it hard to believe.

”No, after you fainted, the other girls showed great adaptability, resulting in our girls’ team winning first place.” Lu Yi patiently explained, then asked, ”Where are you now? We didn’t see you when we were rounding up, and the girls said you didn’t return to the dormitory.”

”Um, I missed the school bus after seeing the doctor. Instructor Mu let me stay in his dorm for the night, he’ll send me back to school tomorrow.”

After An Ran finished, there was a brief silence on the other end of the phone. A moment later, Lu Yi said, ”Is it proper for a girl like you to stay there? Why don’t I drive over and pick you up.”

An Ran quickly shook her head, ”No need, that would be too much trouble, and besides, where would you get a car?”

An Ran didn’t know Lu Yi’s situation, only thinking he would need to hire a taxi to pick her up, and Nan’an University is in Nan’an City while the place she was garrisoned in is suburban, it would take at least two or three hours round trip, costing four to five hundred, and it was almost dinner time already, and if she remembered correctly, Lu Yi was supposed to treat the whole class tonight.

”Don’t worry about it, my car can’t go past the gate, wait for me outside in half an hour.” Lu Yi hung up after saying that.

An Ran looked at the disconnected phone, contemplating how to leave. Given Captain Mu’s overbearing nature, if she were to bid farewell face to face, she probably wouldn’t be able to leave.

If she really had to spend the night here, it would indeed be quite stressful.

The thought of sharing a room with Mu Xingfeng sent chills down her spine, the kind that made goosebumps rise all over.

Leave, once and for all, since the class monitor was coming to pick her up, there was certainly a chance to escape.

An Ran packed her backpack and ran downstairs. Because she ran too fast, she bumped into someone at the corner of the stairs. The man’s firm chest made An Ran’s nose hurt, and she stumbled backward.

”Ah—” An Ran cried out in fright, but the man quickly grabbed her arm.

An Ran, clutching her sore nose and with red eyes, apologized quickly: ”Sorry, sorry,” then continued to run downstairs.

She had to leave before Mu Xingfeng returned.

Lin Junyang watched the hurried figure of the girl, his eyebrows arched in amusement. Interesting, if Captain Mu knew his little rabbit had escaped, what expression would he have?

Hmm, a little anticipation.

Lin Junyang leisurely pulled out his phone and dialed Mu Xingfeng’s number.

”What is it?” A cold voice sounded on the other end.

”Captain Mu, honestly, are you hiding a beauty in a golden house?” Lin Junyang asked playfully.

”Snap,” the other side directly hung up.

Hmm, Lin Junyang looked at the disconnected phone and smiled. Not annoyed, he dialed again.

”You better have an actual reason.” The cold voice sounded again.

”Oh, nothing much, just encountered a runaway rabbit.” Lin Junyang teased.
