Chapter 536 Lin’s decision

Somewhere inside the northern region, two figures could be seen standing over the edge of the hill, and from that hill, they are looking in a particular direction where a city existed and it was illuminated by the light.

”He opened the city gate, huh, yohan is a peculiar lad, he does whatever he feels like doing but deep down we know he did the right thing, people were living in constant fear, it may be a reckless decision but he is someone who cares for the people”Leon exclaimed as he looked in the direction of the river shore city gate.

”Yeah he made that decision on his own, thatʼs his way of doing things, I know I put the city in lockdown but I donʼt have any other choice at that time, it is for the safety of the people but my decision affected the livelihood of the common people, sometimes we have to make the difficult decision but I am glad he did what he felt like doing”old man lin said.

”Indeed you are right” Leon whispered as he took a deep sigh.

”Leaving these trivial things aside, you decided to leave without saying anything to her, donʼt you know she is going to be sad when she comes to know that her father is left just like that in this kind of situation when she needed you, Leon it will break her heart in too many ways, you should consider one more time before leaving river shore city” old man lin tilted his head and looked in the direction of Leon who is standing beside him.

”I canʼt face her, you already know how much I care for my daughter, if she asks me to say then I am not able to refuse her request and if I make that kind of decision then that will cost too many innocent lives and I donʼt want to sacrifice those lives for the sake of my daughter, thatʼs the only reason I am not going to see her before leaving this place,” Leon tilted his head and responded to old man lin.

”Sigh, I can understand being the patriarch of a clan is not an easy, you have duties for your people and no matter what you have to fulfill those duties even if the cost is too high, Leon you opened my eyes, and I decided to make yohan the next patriarch of the Lin clan, he is going to become good clan leader, my good for nothing son is not suited for this position, he only cares about the privilege that comes with being the patriarch, he is not even here when his clan needed him, you were right I was blinded by the love for my son that I neglected that he lacks leadership qualities” old man lin took a deep sigh as he explains Leon about his decision that he decided to make yohan the next leader of the clan

The moment those words reached Leonʼs ear his facial expression changed and a bright smile appeared on Leonʼs face.

”You made a wise the decision my friend, indeed he is going to become the best leader of this clan I assure you, and moreover Alena is there for him, she may be soft-hearted but her decision-making is top-notch, no one can beat my daughter when it comes to political issues, she is going to guide yohan, I trust her”Leon placed his right hand on old man linʼs shoulder and said those words to him.<

Old man lin smiled and nodded his head in response” indeed she is going to guide him, on the other hand, diya, Natasha, and jasmine are also there to support him, right now things might be tough for the clan but I am sure the future is bright and moreover, the time has finally come when yohan has to prove himself that he can be a worthy leader of this clan,”

”Yeah, those bastards soon going to make their moves after all yohan is back and I am leaving this place, I wish I could stay here and see them burn in front of my eyes but alas my Superiorʼs are in a hurry to get me back in the eastern region, somehow everything seems to be linked but the king of the north donʼt have that kind of reach when he can seek help from the Azazel clan, he is just a frog of the well who lives inside the north, there is someone else who donʼt want me to remain inside the northern region” Leon exclaimed as he moved his hand from linʼs shoulder and raised his head towards the sky, his breathing was irregular and he seems to be worried about something.

”Donʼt worry about us Leon, this clan has been standing here for centuries, in the past, it has been witnessed too many battles that have been fought by our ancestors, now itʼs my duty and yohanʼs duty to protect this clan, you have done enough now itʼs your duty to look after your clan, your clan needs you, rest assured my friend I will protect Alena over my life and when times comes yohan will also not hesitate to put his life to save alenaʼs life, I know it is hard for you to leave your daughter like that in this kind of situation but she will be fine here,” old man lin exclaimed as he looked, Leon.

”I trust you lin, look after everyone and if somehow things become chaotic and get out of your hands then you know what you have to in order to save this clan, donʼt hesitate to release that seal...”Leon said in a serious manner, hearing Leonʼs words lin nodded his head and took a deep breath.

”That is my last resort, if things somehow turn chaotic and get out of my hands I will not hesitate to break that seal, rest assured Leon” old man lin responded to Leon, his expression was serious when he said those words.

”Very well then itʼs time when I leave this place, farewell, my friend...”Leon said and with those words, he disappeared from old man linʼs sight leaving him alone at that hill.

”Farewell Leon, see you soon my friend, dont worry I will look after everyone” old man lin said, and with those words he also disappeared from that hill as he never existed there.
