Chapter 1572: Chapter 38: The White Witch’s Wild Moves

Behind the wall where Su Xiao was, he took out two Shock Bombs from the Storage Space and tossed them to Bubu Wang, who understood and vanished into the environment.

”A Mu, charge straight in after a moment.”

Su Xiao put away his guns and once again wielded the Dragon Slash. While Bubu Wang infiltrated the enemy camp, he tore the cloth on the Hunter’s abdomen and injected diluted Hashirama Cells into its charred skin, a formula he had improved multiple times.

The Hunter’s complexion gradually returned to normal, and after attempting to move the muscles in its waist, it nodded to Su Xiao, indicating it was okay.

With a bang, a strong light burst at the entrance of the second floor, signalling the attack.

White light filled Kai’s vision. She felt herself being lifted, and just as she was about to deal with the ’attacker,’ she recognized the familiar scent and did not resist.

When Kai’s vision and hearing returned, she found herself on the second floor of the castle. The rumble from the walls in front made her eardrums ache slightly.

Kai looked around, finding thirty witches nearby, half wounded. The most unfortunate witch had her throat slit, blood gushing through her fingers.

Below the second-floor entrance, Su Xiao pulled the trigger of the Duke of Extinction, causing an explosion on the wall ten meters away. After two Earth Attribute Elements’ blunt attacks, the wall wouldn’t hold much longer.

Su Xiao had fought his way from the first floor to the second. During the Life Sacrificer, one died at the hands of a Curse Witch. A Mu lay on the ground, unable to fight in the short term, and Bubu Wang had an Elemental Needle stuck in its rear, rolling its eyes in pain.

”Woof woof...”

A witch with her hands and feet bound and mouth taped struggled fiercely. Su Xiao glanced at her and immediately had a plan.

”You bastard on the other side.”

Shouts came from the second floor. Under Su Xiao and the Hunter’s long-range firepower, the witches were too scared to show themselves.

”Leave the castle immediately, or we’ll kill your little lover.”

Hearing the witch’s threat, Su Xiao raised an eyebrow, roughly guessing the situation.

Seconds later, a handcuffed Meilodi was pushed out by the witches. Her face was a mix of resignation and despair. She had repeatedly emphasized that using her as a hostage was useless.

”Alright, let her go, and I’ll leave the castle now.”

As Su Xiao spoke, he took out over twenty Alchemy Bombs, stuffing them into the captured witch’s clothes, trying to hide them as best as he could.

The witch’s eyes widened, knowing something was wrong; she struggled even more fiercely until an anesthetic toxin calmed her down.

Su Xiao’s reply made Kai smile, but the hostage Meilodi looked terrified. If crying wasn’t so embarrassing, she would have burst into tears. This wasn’t touching; she knew from the start that Su Xiao wouldn’t save her. Their cooperation was clear: captured = cooperation temporarily terminated.

”I’m telling you, he won’t change his plan for my life or death. I’m really not lying; please believe me, this time I’m really not lying...”

”...”

The witches behind Kai sneered, while Su Xiao retreated to the first floor with Bubu Wang and A Mu.

”Lady Kai, they’ve retreated to the first floor.”

”Good, you, you, and you, go over there and see what’s happening.”

Under Kai’s command, a few witches moved towards the stairs leading from the second floor to the first.

Boom!

Flames filled most of the second floor of the castle. Meilodi, who was at a distance from the bomb, was blasted away, crashing into the wall behind and spit out a mouthful of blood.

”I told you, your plan wasn’t reliable.”

Meilodi’s body was in pain, and she crawled like a worm into a wooden cabinet, curling up her whole body.

”Cough cough cough...”

Kai waved away the smoke in front of her, but an arrow came straight at her face. As she deflected it, a surge of cold air hit her.

Thunk, thunk, thunk!

There were several sounds of blood splattering behind Kai. Just as she was about to turn to support, an Ice Warhammer smashed toward her head.

Su Xiao used the Dragon Shadow Flash ability to penetrate the wall and get close to the witches. These already injured Third Stage Witches stood little chance against Su Xiao up close. Only the wounded Fourth Stage Witch could fight him for a few rounds, but after Su Xiao crushed a Shock Bomb unarmed, she was slaughtered.

The Shock Bombs were extremely effective against witches, but unfortunately, Su Xiao had used the last one. Though a staple item, they weren’t often deployed.

Su Xiao glanced at a witch surrounded by various metals floating around her. This woman was strong and her defensive power was formidable, taking a direct shot from the Duke of Extinction without injury. Breaking through her defense would be tough without a surprise attack.

A Mu had already engaged Kai up close, and the frost on her body grew thicker. Nearby, the Hunter occasionally shot cold arrows. The ferocious-looking Life Sacrificer continuously healed A Mu. Though ugly, his healing ability rivaled that of a Fourth-Tier Healer.

Su Xiao could join the fight and quickly resolve the situation with Kai, but he didn’t. It wasn’t out of compassion for the girl but because the Witch Queen Morisa had yet to make an appearance.

The Witch Queen Morisa was a Fifth Stage Witch. Third Stage Witches could manifest avatars; Fourth Stage Witches could fuse with them, and Fifth Stage Witches could fully fuse or transform their avatars into objects.

Fifth Stage Elemental Witches convert their avatars into objects, namely Elemental Weapons, allowing them to manipulate the elements more recklessly. Curse Witches fully fuse with their avatars, altering their life essence.

The Fifth Stage White Witches are intriguing, as their avatars become another self, turning from one life form into two, often referred to as twin sisters. The avatar is mostly the older sister, awakening a prophecy ability, while the main body is the younger sister, greatly enhancing the original ability.

For instance, if Meilodi advanced to a Fifth Stage Witch, her main body abilities would significantly improve.

White Witches might not seem strong in battle, but they possess an extremely perverse ability: symbiosis. Killing the main body or avatar alone doesn’t count as killing them; either can resurrect using the other in a self-birth process.

This kind of self-birth makes it nearly impossible to eliminate Fifth Stage White Witches unless the main body is destroyed and then the avatar is killed.

The Witch Queen Morisa was evidently not a White Witch; she was an Elemental Witch, reputed to be extremely powerful, and other Fifth Stage Witches in the Southern region feared her greatly.

After hesitating for a moment, Su Xiao turned and charged towards the upper floors of the castle. With A Mu, the Hunter, Bubu Wang, and the Life Sacrificer, handling Kai was more than manageable.

The Witch Queen Morisa’s lack of appearance was highly abnormal. Su Xiao didn’t think she would be waiting quietly upstairs.

The castle was four floors in total. Just as Su Xiao reached the third floor, a surge of golden flames rushed at him. Seeing these flames made his hair stand on end. Although the color was different, he could confirm that this was the Sun’s Flame, sharing over 70% similarity to Apollo Flame.
