Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2702: Chapter 2698: The Purest

In an instant, Qin Xue thought a lot about things. To her, children are the sky and the earth; their thoughts are the purest.

She wondered if others knew she thought this way, would they find her a bit fanciful, or say she’s naïve?

”She’s quite feverish. Haven’t you taken her to see a doctor?” Qin Xue looked at the red-faced Xu Jia, wondering why she was still covered with such a thick blanket.

Qin Xue saw a towel nearby, picked it up, and wiped the sweat off Xu Jia, then pulled back the blanket.

”Qin Xue, if you pull it back, won’t she sweat out?” Yu Xiu had seen her feeling cold in the morning, so she covered her with the blanket. Now seeing so much sweat and Qin Xue uncovering her, Yu Xiu was worried about her sweating too much, making the wind-cold enter her body, making it harder for her to recover.

”Put on clean clothes for the child. You shouldn’t cover her too tightly when she has a fever; the heat can’t dissipate. It’s not good for the child, it’s harming her.” Qin Xue didn’t want to speak harshly.

But this kind of result was something she didn’t want to see, because when a child has a fever, she’s already uncomfortable, and being wrapped up so tightly, if it were her, she might go mad.

”She said she was cold in the morning, that’s why I covered her. I took her to see a doctor, and they said it was a common cold, prescribed medicine, but she hasn’t improved after taking it.” Yu Xiu knew you shouldn’t sweat her out when she has a fever; she wasn’t an ignorant woman. But when the child said she was cold, she couldn’t just ignore her, could she?

Faced with Qin Xue’s disapproving look, Yu Xiu couldn’t argue back. This was her daughter, Qin Xue was concerned about her, that’s why she was like this, Yu Xiu understood.

No matter what, she didn’t want her daughter to be sick. She could only think of how to be better for her.

”It’s okay. I wiped off the sweat; there won’t be a big problem. After you change her clothes, I’ll prescribe some medicine.” Qin Xue looked at the situation; it seemed like she was frightened. What had scared her?

Looking at Yu Xiu, it seemed like she didn’t know what was wrong with Xu Jia. Maybe the child hadn’t told her mother what happened?

Yu Xiu really didn’t know what Qin Xue was thinking. Otherwise, she’d be less calm.

Thinking the child was frightened, the best remedy was the calming soup. She was so young, wondering what’s suitable for her to eat?

If she were a baby, it would be easy to handle: just buy a small bottle of Eight Treasures Wind-Shocking Powder and give it to her. But this child was at an awkward age, so it wasn’t easy to give her just anything.

After thinking it over, Qin Xue finally prescribed a herbal medicine decoction for Yu Xiu and asked her to buy the medicine.

The medicine she needed wasn’t enough in her space, and it wasn’t suitable to take out anyway. So Yu Xiu had to find a way to buy it herself.

Yu Xiu was aware of this to some extent; after all, she trusted Qin Xue quite a lot.

”Sis, how is Jiajia doing in school?” Qin Xue casually asked about the child’s activities and mood.

”She should be doing well. She comes home smiling, does her homework first thing, and says the teacher and classmates are nice. She hasn’t mentioned anything bad.” Yu Xiu thought about her daughter’s usual performance, and this was how it was.

And this was what she said herself. But was Qin Xue asking casually, or was there a particular reason?

Yu Xiu wasn’t being overly sensitive; she seemed to see Qin Xue hesitating before speaking, which is why she felt this way.

”Oh, that’s good, as long as she feels good.” Qin Xue nodded after hearing it. But if she was doing well at school, then what could have scared her?
