Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 1938: Chapter 1932 Parent-Child Activity

”Haha, you really are something. How many times have you fooled your kid into thinking you’ll turn into a big fat person?” Qin Xue arrived and heard such a hilarious remark that it made her laugh until her stomach hurt.

”Alright, stop laughing. I asked you here for help, not to watch a comedy show. If you don’t help me, I’ll really have to compete with the sanitation workers for a job.” Her friend looked at Qin Xue’s gleeful expression and was quite anxious. How could she still have the mood to laugh at her in this situation?

”Okay, did you tell the little one that I’d be taking care of her?” What Qin Xue cared about wasn’t anything else but that the child might not want her company.

”I did. Nannan, will you go with Auntie Xue? You heard the call just now. If Mommy doesn’t go to the company, she might lose her job. Then Mommy won’t be able to afford your dance classes.” Her friend spoke reasonably to her little girl, explaining the reason for her departure.

”I know, just go. It’s always like this. I really suspect your boss must be doing this on purpose, always competing with me for Mommy’s time.” The child was quite mature for her age, understanding more than most.

It’s just that can’t her mom’s boss stop piling work on her mom? Every time she only sees her mom in the morning, and then again the next day. Sometimes she sees her at night, but her mom always comes back very late, looking too tired to move, and the child feels her mom is really too exhausted.

So seeing her mom’s apologetic face, she couldn’t bring herself to say anything more. Instead, she obediently let her leave. Otherwise, even staying wouldn’t mean she could properly accompany her. It would be better to have Auntie Xue accompany her, as she was familiar with her anyway.

”Nannan, you’re awesome. Mommy loves you.” Her friend’s eyes were getting misty; the child was so understanding that it made her feel even more guilty as a mother. But what choice did she have? Without work, they wouldn’t have a livelihood, so they had to let their child down.

”Mommy, I love you too.” The child knew it wasn’t that her mom didn’t want to be with her, but that work was necessary, so being upset was inevitable.

”Qin Xue, the kid is in your care. I’ll treat you to dinner later.” Her friend left with just a sentence.

”Nannan, now I’m your guardian for the day. Shall we go?” Qin Xue reached out to the little girl, feeling for the first time apart from hospital visits how close she was to someone else’s child in doing something important. Not counting those in the orphanage, as they didn’t have parents, they relied on the love everyone gave them. So it couldn’t be compared.

”Okay, thank you, Auntie Xue.” The child nodded, simultaneously extending her little hand to place it in Qin Xue’s, letting her lead her into the school.

”You’re welcome. Today, I’ll also experience what it’s like to be a parent.” Qin Xue originally didn’t plan to marry, so naturally, she wouldn’t have kids. Now having the opportunity to experience it was also her wish.

Qin Xue initially pondered to mentally embody the role of a parent, but then the teacher asked the parents to forget their identities and instead act as big friends playing games with the kids.

Alright then, instead of the intended experience, it turned into becoming a child herself. Initially, Qin Xue was hesitant, but seeing the kids having such a good time, she gradually let herself go, playing games like ”Transporting Ping Pong Balls,” ”Recognizing Parents,” and ”Blowing Balls in the Water” for two or three hours. Qin Xue deeply felt that the children’s world was far different from whe adults imagined.
