Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 957: Chapter 951: Building Blocks_1

“Put it back in the position it was just now.” Chu Molin picked up the block and issued the command.

This time, it took them much less time to put it back in place. Chu Molin put the block in front of them, but before they could take it, Yu Chen, who was in his arms, took it and tried to get down.

Seeing this, Chu Molin didn’t say no, instead, he swiftly put Yu Chen on the seat, squatting in front of them to prevent them from falling.

Yu Chen picked up the block and put it where Chu Molin had just placed it, then picked up another block and placed it on top. He continued to stack the blocks until they were all in place and did not fall again.

All three children looked at Chu Molin in unison, hoping he could explain why this had happened.

“Do you want to know why?” Chu Molin asked the three children.

“Yes.” Jing Tao responded, while brothers Yu Ze and Yu Chen only nodded.

“The blocks need a lot of mechanical principles, which are too profound for you now. Even if I explain, you won’t understand. Let me simplify it. You see these blocks are all different sizes, right?” Chu Molin asked the three children, and after seeing them nod, he continued.

“Their size affects their stability, just like when we lay the foundation for a house, we use the most stable material at the bottom to keep it steady and prevent it from falling. The foundation acts as a balancing force, right? And then if we slowly add on top, the structure won’t wobble.

And then look here, they are well connected, and there’s this little round piece. You may think it will fall because it has a hole, but actually, it won’t. The force is not concentrated here, but is dispersed over the arch of this ring, so it won’t fall. That’s why when you put the blocks on earlier, they fell, because the force was all concentrated in one place, and the other parts couldn’t function, so they couldn’t help but fall.” Chu Molin slowly explained to them.

Qin Xue looked at Chu Molin explaining these complex concepts to the three little children, and she wanted to interrupt him. These children were so young, how could they understand the concept of force? Didn’t he know he needed to teach them age-appropriate knowledge?

However, she saw that the three children were actually very interested, which was quite surprising.

Fang Xiu just smiled after watching. It was good like this. Having someone with their son would prevent him from being too lonely. With two children from Qin Xue’s family to play with, her son had companions.

Only Xue Ling watched without any expression. She brought the blocks for them because she knew they could play with them, not because she had too much free time.

But others thought Chu Molin was silly for explaining such complex concepts to such small children. These were only a few months old infants, it would be weird if they could understand.

“Big brother, do you think the children can understand what you’re saying?” A young man from the upper bunk asked Chu Molin.

“They may not understand, but I can let them listen first. If I say it often, they will understand when they grow up.” Chu Molin said. He didn’t mention that his child was smart and could definitely understand.

But in order not to attract attention, he gave another reason. It seemed like he had nothing else to do and was just killing time.

“But aren’t they too young? Don’t you think this is a waste of time?” The young man from the upper bunk asked again.

This time, Chu Molin didn’t feel like explaining further. He only glanced at him, then continued to watch the three children in silence. All of them were quiet and not fussing at all.
