From Arsenal to the Ball God

——”Welcome home! Henry!”

——”King of Highbury!”

Amidst the deeply heartfelt banners of Arsenal fans, Henry waved to those who once supported him, his eyes brimming with tears, his expression solemn.

His career at Barcelona was relatively successful, where he won the Champions League, the European Super Cup, the Club World Cup, and nearly all domestic titles.

After chasing his dreams for 5 years, he returned to the home he once loved the most for his final curtain call.

”Clap clap clap.....!”

Ma’el and Van Persie stood side by side on the sidelines clapping, Ma’el’s body slightly trembling, afraid that the scene in his memory might truly unfold on the field.

In the 78th minute of the match, Arsenal took a corner kick from the right side, which was cleared by Leeds United. The secondary ball was received by Alexander Song.

”Bang!”

Song unleashed a long shot from outside the box. The ball rebounded off the goalkeeper’s hands back into the box, where Walcott on the other side picked it up and crossed it to Henry in the center.

”Bang!!”

Emperor Henry swiveled his body, pushing the ball into the net’s corner with the underside of his right foot.

The ball went in!

One to zero!

”Wow...!! Ohhh.....!!” At the Emirates Stadium, a thunderous cheer erupted, as if people saw the 22-year-old Henry reappear in that familiar spot.

Still the same King!

Still the same Henry!

”Oh...!”

On the Arsenal bench, everyone stood up with hands raised, cheering for their legendary player.

Ma’el clapped excitedly; this goal was different from his memory, perhaps due to the butterfly effect of his journey through time... But what hadn’t changed was that it was Henry who scored the winning goal in this FA Cup match.

At this moment, feeling the heat inside the Emirates Stadium, he truly understood to what extent the love from fans for a player could reach.

He also realized what kind of player was worthy of being called a club legend.

Henry’s return was meaningful to him. He clearly saw a goal, saw the position he should aim for, and how to surpass him with a prolonged and efficient performance!

”Henry! This time it went in!! Still relying on Henry! A classic right-footed shot!”

In the broadcasting room, Zhan Jun’s excited voice rang out, ”Henry helped Arsenal take a one-zero lead!! Fans! Can you hold back the tears?! How can you not be moved to tears! Relying on Emperor Henry to rescue!”

”This match has been a hard struggle for nearly 80 minutes, and in the end, it still relied on Henry!”

On the field, Henry roared all the way back to the Arsenal bench, his intentions clear, immediately hugging his mentor Wenger tightly.

Wenger had an excited smile on his face, their emotions bursting at that moment, as they hugged continuously for quite a while.

Ma’el stood right beside them, joining in on this historic moment, becoming part of the ’legendary return’ scene.

He immensely enjoyed this feeling because he knew clearly that this was not the last historic moment... He would alter everything as it was, allowing everyone on this team to have a few more unforgettable moments.

Those moments would belong to him, be created single-handedly by him, and would bring this team, and himself, immense joy!

Perhaps, by then, he’d already have become the King of the Emirates Stadium, learning from King of Highbury Henry’s ways, tightly embracing Wenger, just as they once clapped hands and made resolutions together.

”Kid.”

After hugging Wenger, Henry unexpectedly walked towards Ma’el, pointed at him, winked, and smiled, ”I couldn’t win the Champions League with this team, which is the biggest regret of my life.

”From now on, this task is yours. If one day, you truly achieve it, then you will have surpassed me. I believe you can.”

Ma’el looked over in his direction, seeing the winking Henry, the expectant Wenger, and all the smiling, applauding Arsenal players.

”I will.”

He nodded heavily towards Henry, who quickly came up, smilingly extending his palm.

”Clap!”

Their palms lightly touched at this moment, completing the handover ceremony. Henry passed all the hopes and legacies once embodied in him onto Ma’el.

This was a handover between the old king and the new king, a significant scene that resonated deeply with all Arsenal fans, understanding the importance within it.
