From Arsenal to the Ball God

The arduous training continued day after day, and with the addition of therapists, Ma’el’s body bore a stronger load, allowing him to accelerate the training frequency.

Previously, he used clumsy methods to protect his body, training for a while then resting for a while, stretching whenever he felt his body couldn’t take it.

Now, with Harry and Safina helping protect his body, it seems like the training time has reduced, but in fact, the density has increased, speeding up the improvement.

Ma’el feels that the increased density also exercises his body, and he clearly notices his endurance has increased.

”The panel should be released soon.”

Having been dealing with the Skill Level panel for so long, he has acquired some familiarity and predictive ability.

He wonders if there will be a panel for ’Affinity’ or ’Prediction.’

Probably not, he recently practiced driving while hoping for a similar panel to appear, but it didn’t happen. It seems that only football skills or athletic abilities can produce panels.

Some yellow waste appears in Ma’el’s mind, but he uses the power between his eyebrows to force his brain into a blank state, focusing on training well.

[Skills: Curved Ball Dipping Shot Lv3]

[Skill Level (724/800)]

On January 28th, he realized the Skill Level for Dipping Shot was nearing a breakthrough, so he immediately adjusted the training plan and increased the emphasis on Dipping Shot training.

Everything can be rigid, but people should not be rigid. He wants to upgrade this skill before the next match.

As the regulated diet time extended, he slowly noticed changes in his body.

Previously, it was more about Harry’s recovery training and therapy bringing stronger feedback experiences, while the diet served more as psychological comfort.

But now, there’s a change.

The various states have really improved; every day he’s full of energy and even has more motivation for training.

This made him value Safina more, often having casual chats at home, gradually becoming closer with her.

Ma’el once doubted his motives, as Safina indeed had some beauty and a special mature charm.

He felt he didn’t have any other intentions, but sometimes during leisure, he couldn’t help but wonder whether he wasn’t admitting something.

”Since middle school, my preference has been more towards the same sex, of course, I won’t date girls, it’s more about appreciation.”

One day while chatting, Safina expressed this, and he felt like he didn’t have the slightest regret within him. Instead, he felt more relaxed in their subsequent interactions. That’s when he really came to terms with himself.

As long as there’s no stronger excitement....it means he has no problem.

January 31st, end of the month.

Soaking in the training field, Ma’el felt a strong vibration in the soleus muscle at his ankle and the quadricep muscle at his knee, experiencing enhancement.

Hmm..... having followed Harry for so long, he also learned some muscle names, understanding the human body more clearly.

[Skills: Curved Blade Lv4]

[Skill Level (1/2000)]

[Utility: After significantly enhancing the curve, you started working on increasing the power during Curved Ball Dipping Shots, mastering the technique of exerting force perfectly during Curved Ball Dipping Shots and learning how to contract and stretch muscles instantly!]

Here it comes!

The third Level 4 skill!

”Long Shot Lv4, Crossing Lv4, Dipping Shot Lv4.”

He thought of Traore whom he recently compared himself with and chuckled, ”If this were given to Traore, he would probably start as a forward at Barça immediately.”

Curved Blade!

As the name suggests, now the power of his Dipping Shot greatly increases, which won’t weaken the curve; instead, a stronger initial force will enhance the curve!

”Bang! Bang....!”

Ma’el tried two shots on the field; previously, he didn’t understand how those star players adept at cutting inside could apply the same power as direct foot-back Long Shots during Dipping Shots.

But now, he understands!

The comfort from improved skills boosted his training desire; people are always like this. He started other categories of training with a soccer ball.

Safina called him several times midway, he only saw them when he went to the restroom and told her he’d be back in half an hour.

He seemed to have forgotten the time, continuing to run on the grass field, feeling like a fish swimming freely in the sea.

[Skills: Physical Ability Lv2]

[Skill Level (379/800)]

[Utility: You have initially realized the importance of improving cardiopulmonary capabilities for athletes; you seem to have a certain foundation in muscular endurance, making your training more effortless and progressing faster. You eagerly anticipate the upgrade day.]

”Physical Ability?”

Ma’el suddenly paused, feeling a kind of brightness; this ability finally emerged.

As expected, this body’s Physical Ability and short pass have a certain foundation, and when the panel appeared, they were at Level 2.

”Training naturally.”

Ma’el had no intention to intensify Physical Ability training, not because he didn’t know the importance of this ability, but mainly because, currently, his physical ability is sufficient for Championship.

If he were running at full throttle, he could sustain for about 70 minutes; with some allocation, running around the whole field wouldn’t be a problem.

The Premier League has a faster pace, offensive players have more defensive responsibilities, requiring more running... It’s not too late to train when it comes quickly.

There’s another reason, closely related to why he hasn’t trained Power yet.

Still in the season, there is considerable pressure for skill-related abilities improvement during the weekdays. To train high intensity in Power and Physical Ability at this time would be adding a significant burden.

With league matches every week, he’d be playing like an old man with aches everywhere, cramps after running a few steps.... What’s the point of playing then?

Finish this crucial second half of the season, or wait for some downtime, then train.

Speed is different from these two abilities, the muscle contraction ability training for speed is mostly quick response training with less intensity than theirs.
