Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 318: Chapter 318: For the Sake of My Son

”Not yet.” Gigi was very sincere, ”I’ll call you first, will you agree to come?”

Justin Kingston snapped back to reality, ”If Mommy goes, I’ll go.”

”Great!” Gigi was jubilant, he was confident, ”Then wait for my good news! I’ll call her right away.” With that, he hung up the phone.

Justin sat on the sofa, holding his phone in a daze.

At this moment, someone came in, ”Good morning, Mr. Kingston. The plane is ready. May I ask if you are ready to depart?”

He drew in the slightly furrowed brows, his usual cold tone softened, ”Wait a moment.”

The staff was unsure what he was waiting for but didn’t push, standing aside to wait with him.

At the seaside villa.

Mia Lane was still having breakfast, the table filled with milk, egg pancakes, and eight-treasure porridge.

Behind her, lilies were freshly placed in a vase, their elegant fragrance permeating the air.

The ringtone sounded, and she took her phone from the table.

Seeing the caller ID, she immediately answered, ”Gigi?” Her son had asked her for the number yesterday, otherwise, he might not have contacted her now.

”Mommy, I have good news for you!” Her son’s familiar voice came over.

”What good news?” She asked calmly, as her son was always mischievous, it might well be some quirky idea.

”Today I handed in a family photo, and we were voted the happiest family in the kindergarten! Our family photo looks the best, we got the highest votes!”

”Are you at school?” Mia Lane glanced at the time on the wall, ”It’s only eight.”

”I am!” Gigi was in a hurry, ”Do you want to have a video call?”

”What’s the point of being voted?” She took a sip of milk, ”The photos are online, I’m not afraid of your classmates and teachers gossiping.”

”Ah, who’s bold enough to gossip about you! They are all envious! The teacher invited you and Daddy to share your secrets to happiness!”

”...” Mia Lane almost spat out her milk! Her eyes widened abruptly.

”Mommy, are you listening?” Gigi was worried she might hang up, ”I’m serious! The teacher doesn’t need to call again for this, right?”

”I’m listening, but... this is absurd! Doesn’t the teacher usually watch the news? Your dad is getting married! What secrets to happiness could I possibly share?”

”You’re not upset about Dad getting married?”

”Gigi, you...”

”Then are you coming or not?” Gigi changed his tone, ”You must come! It’s a rare opportunity! To prove we’re also children loved by parents! He missed the first six years, will you miss the next six years? The little buddies are waiting!”

Mia Lane didn’t accept moral judgment, ”Did you call him?”

”Not yet.” Gigi was savvy, ”You agree first! It’ll be easier on his side.”

”...” She worried that Justin might refuse.

While Mia Lane was silent, Gigi said, ”That’s settled, I’ll call him! Have him pick you up, don’t go out this afternoon.”

With that, her son hung up the phone.

Mia Lane felt a momentary stir in her heart; she was always a good mom, never missing her child’s growth. She always cooperated with the homework kindergarten assigned.

But this time, what should she do?

Mia Lane did not call Gigi to ask if Justin agreed, nor did Justin call her.

She really didn’t go out, her phone always by her side.

At one in the afternoon.

Mia Lane had just finished lunch, and a Lamborghini stopped outside her seaside villa.

A short time later, someone came in to report, ”Miss Lane, CEO Kingston is here, the car is parked outside.”
