Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 313: Chapter 313: Apologize to Her

Mia Lane really no longer expected him to treat her kindly, once she remembered how he left the hospital room without saying goodbye.

He was angry, but she didn’t know why.

Justin Kingston stared straight ahead, remaining silent while driving fast!

Mia watched him tightly gripping the steering wheel, as if there was a fire burning inside him, and it made her uneasy, ”Where are you taking me?”

He didn’t answer, slamming his foot on the gas pedal, the car accelerated sharply! Like a sword drawn from its sheath.

Mia clutched the seatbelt, her heart was in her throat.

The atmosphere in the car was oppressive.

Justin had thousands of thoughts in his mind, wanting to run away with her! To take her to the ends of the earth like this!

It wasn’t until he stopped the car on the beach that Mia’s anxious heart began to calm down.

For some reason, she lacked the courage to look at him directly, so she didn’t glance over.

Justin’s gaze was deep as he turned to look at her, directly cupping her face, and kissing her with his thin lips!

Startled, she opened her eyes wide!

Justin kissed her lips hard, repeatedly, and persistently, with his big hand cupping her face, making it impossible for her to escape.

His breath enveloped her, Mia’s mind gradually went blank... It felt unreal!

Is this a dream?

This must be a dream.

She didn’t resist, her lips were as cool as a spring, which fascinated Justin, and he unconsciously deepened the kiss.

As her body temperature grew hotter, Mia’s eyelashes couldn’t help but flutter.

After the kiss ended, her face flushed.

Justin held her tightly in his arms, ”I’m sorry.”

”...” Mia’s heartbeat inexplicably stalled.

Was he apologizing?

Justin felt her body stiffening, seemingly losing its warmth, he quickly released her, sensing that she was frightened.

Holding her shoulders, Justin’s tear-filled gaze fell on her abdomen, distress overwhelming him, ”...” His large hand slowly slid down, resting on her abdomen.

Mia saw tears fall from his eyes, saw the grief and guilt written on his face.

”It’s my fault, I didn’t protect our child well.” His voice choked, filled with pain, ”I’m sorry.”

She was taken aback, ”How do you know?” Something flashed in her eyes, ”Did you remember? Did your memory recover?”

No, even if he remembered, he wouldn’t know she was pregnant.

Only Anton Miller knew about this.

Justin held her small hand, his voice hoarse, ”I watched the surveillance footage.”

”What surveillance?” She didn’t understand.

He raised his eyes, and their gazes met.

He told her, ”In Aethelburg hospital, outside the emergency room surveillance.”

”...” She seemed not to understand, why did he watch that surveillance footage?

”Initially, they gave me a piece of footage, I saw everyone waiting outside while you left with Anton Miller, it made me resentful, feeling suffocated inside.”

Mia looked at him, carefully listening, sensing his emotions, it seemed she understood what caused his sudden cold demeanor towards her.

”But later, I watched the complete footage, and saw the reason you left with him...” Justin felt a heavy block in his chest, painfully saying, ”You did it to save me...”

”Stop.” Mia gently interrupted, trying hard to control her emotions.

So he didn’t really remember her, he just watched some surveillance footage, which didn’t change the fact that he was getting married.

Mia became very clear-headed.

At that moment, Monica Usher’s car stopped in the Clearwater Bay yard.

She quickly walked to the living room after getting out of the car.

Even though her cheek was slightly swollen, and hearing in her right ear was worse than in the left, her mood was extremely anxious, yet she applied some makeup, let her hair down to conceal the injuries on her face.

”Mom.”

Monica Usher greeted Kristina Kingston upon entering, without any discomfort calling her.

Kristina Kingston rose from the sofa, ”Monica?” Taken aback, why was she here?

Monica Usher approached her, knees bent, directly kneeling down, ”Mom, I beg you to move the wedding date forward!”
