Naruto: Kage of Kages

“Oh father . . . You did not pass down the secret guardianship of the Blood Spiral Sealing Arts to my brother due to his obsession with recreating the “lost” forbidden sealing arts of our clan yet now . . . Here I am falling into their temptation.”

The Uzumaki matriarch sounded almost melancholic.

“And Ashina you fool of an older brother. Burning your lifespan in your pursuit of the forbidden until you became a white haired old man in your sixties when our father looked younger at double the age.”

Getting those words out of her system, Mito’s eyes sharpened and, with no more pause or hesitation, she retrieved one of the Sanguine Pills in the bottle and downed it.

After a moment of silence . . .

*BOOM*

An enormous surge of potent chakra spread across Mito’s study, fully enveloping her form in what seemed like blood colored chakra.

It was not the red chakra of a tailed beast but a deep crimson chakra with a hint of malevolence stained with the despair of the living sacrifices that went into the refinement of the Sanguine Pill.

Within Mito, lifeforce along with potent soul and spiritual energies welled up, seemingly endless as the Uzumaki matriarch began to experience several physical changes.

Her luscious crimson hair became longer and even more beautiful, enchantingly shining with an ominous glow as if her red locks were slick with blood.

The redhead’s already young for her age features were further rejuvenated, bringing her back to how she looked in her twenties yet it did not stop there.

Mito’s previously softer visage sharpened, giving her a colder yet demonically enchanting look, especially her phoenix eyes.

Together with her bloody crimson hair that framed her perfect face, reaching her waist still with her two signature buns on top, the Uzumaki matriarch felt more alive and more beautiful than ever before.

She clenched her fist, feeling enough raw physical strength to match her previous self’s chakra enhanced blows.

“No wonder this is forbidden . . . This kind of feeling is addicting beyond belief.” The bloody haired demoness spoke to herself.

Feeling the effects were far too exaggerated Mito and the peeping Shiki reviewed the description of the Sanguine Furnace Seal and the Sanguine Pills it produced.

Because if they were as effective for everyone as they were for Mito, the Uzumaki should have been the owners of the ancient world.

Soon, they found an explanation.

[Fully digesting the energy within a Sanguine Pill is nearly impossible but the descendants of past consumers show an innate ability to absorb this energy more effectively, resulting in a greater boost per pill consumed.]

‘This explains it. Mito-sama is a main line Uzumaki, descended from those who likely consumed more Sanguine Pilla than their peers. The increased efficacy of the pills for her is more than warranted.’ Shiki thought.

Though for Mito, the fact that her direct ancestors had so frequently made use of such forbidden practices that she could experience such a massive boost from a single Sanguine Pill, was, no pun intended, a hard pill to swallow.

Regardless, seeing no reason not to down the other two pills before the first consumption limit was hit as the instructions did not mention it an issue, Mito did exactly that and consumed two more sanguine pills consecutively.

The results were equally astonishing.

Surprisingly, the changes brought upon by the next two pills were still quite bombastic despite Mito’s expectations that she would not feel any more big changes other than an increase in her physical and spiritual energies along with the associated benefits to lifeforce, chakra, etc.

The Uzumaki matriarch’s chakra lost the usual characteristics of human chakra, becoming a very deed and dark red, carrying with it a sense of weight and oppression, being far denser and more potent than before.

It seemed to be permanently infused into the redhead’s physical body, partially turning Mito into a chakra being while raising her physical attributes to an extreme degree. Additionally, an invisible barrier seemed to form on top of her skin.

Shiki felt most regular ninjutsu would not even be able to put a scratch on his mistress regardless of whether she took defensive measures or not.

The Uzumaki matriarch’s red mane also took on a deeper color, becoming even more enchanting and longer, almost reaching her feet while seemingly taking a life of its own after being infused with enormous amounts of chakra.

It granted Mito the ability to freely manipulate her hair for attack and defense, even increasing its volume and length, turning it into a peerless weapon without even relying on any jutsu.

With his Enlightened Mind’s Eye, the boy engraved every last detail of the transformation into his mind, even details that Mito herself could not detect as they were so minor that they should be impossible to sense.

Shiki could also feel the Nine Tailed Fox within his mistress for the first time but after consuming the three Sanguine Pills, Mito herself seemed to have a stronger and more malevolent presence, even Kurama himself was confused.

The poor fox could only feel its seal become stronger and stronger in real time as his jailor started to feel far more demonic than himself.

“What the hell are you doing you hag!?”

“Hey Mito, you devious b**ch! I asked you a question!”

Kurama roared and screamed, twisting against the chains and stakes that bound him to a huge ball of lava within Mito. Unlike Naruto’s seal which was just a cage, Mito’s was more like a jail within the depths of hell itself.

No wonder the Fox was so pissed all the time

‘If I was kept in that state for as long as he was, forget forgiveness and understanding. No blonde brat would ever convince me to play nice, EVER.’ Shiki thought to himself.

After the first time where he accidentally spied on Mito in her study, Shiki took on the attitude of “It already happened so might as well roll with it.” and so, he kept on recording every detail of Mito’s practices so that he might one day be able to reproduce them once his fuinjutsu improved

He saw his mistress making some unknown alterations to her Strength of a Hundred Seal one day, witnessed her refinement of a sealing formation to help hide her current condition and help the Uzumaki matriarch’s aging old woman facade and more.

Shiki was even already conceptualizing his own forbidden seal though it would take a lot of further study just to figure out whether it was possible to achieve.

The boy’s interest was in the Essence Imprint Seal, mainly its abilities to permanently change the recipient by infusing them with the biological and spiritual data of another through fuinjutsu.

This had the side effect of mixing the sacrifice and recipient’s self resulting in severe instability but Shiki had an idea.

With his Enlightened Mind’s Eye, he could perfectly record the essence of a being or just an ability.

So what if rather than using someone’s essence as the source of biological and spiritual data, he instead used those records to manually create a dataset and then used pure chakra, lifeforce, or whatever other enemy required, to imprint that data onto himself.

By doing that he could completely avoid the issue of mixing his sense of being.

The only issue was whether he could actually find a way to translate the records taken with his Enlightened Mind’s Eye into a fuinjutsu formula to imprint.

‘But this is just a fanciful dream for now. It will take years and years of studying the sealing arts just to have the prerequisite capabilities to begin setting the foundations for just a seal.’ Shiki internally sighed.

“Well. Time to get back to the grind and actually train on things I can learn right now.” The boy declared to himself and got back to work, intending on making the best of the little time he had left before the Shinobi Academy Graduation Exams.
