Eternal Thief

Pixy, as if waiting for Ace to seek her out, laid out her plan playfully, ”Well, it’s not like you haven’t thought about it yourself, but still, I’ll make it simpler. I can help you decrease the grade of that barrier with the Wealth Value Manipulation, so you can get inside.

”However, this will be risky because the cost you’ll need to bear to decrease the Transcendent Grade to Quasi-Transcendent Grade would be around 1 billion Thief Points just for a second.

”But after that second, it’ll return to being Transcendent Grade again, and you’ll be sealed behind that barrier as well, not to mention sealed with a Transcendent Grade treasure spirit of the formation with an unknown state of mind.

”Moreover, there’s also a chance that the moment the grade of the seal decreased, the treasure spirit inside would be able to easily break free from it, and then there goes your advantage, and the danger will be increased manyfold.”

Ace’s expression hardened as he was really thinking about using the Wealth Value Manipulation to bypass that powerful barrier, but now that he knew about the cost and especially the dangers associated with this option, he completely hesitated.

”So, what are you suggesting then?” Ace asked with resignation, as this heist was becoming increasingly dangerous.

”Hehe, it’s simple, instead of just decreasing the value of that seal, why not decrease the value of the seal and everything inside of it? This way, you can just steal the entire thing and send it into the Thief’s Space, and once inside the Thief’s Space, there won’t be many complications!” Pixy stated matter-of-factly.

Ace’s eyes widened with astonishment as his heart beat wildly, ”Wait, you can also decrease a treasure spirit grade as well?”

”That goes without saying, don’t you think so? After all, a treasure spirit in the end is born through a treasure, which means it’s also considered a sort of ’wealth’. That’s why, it can be affected through the Wealth Value Manipulation as long as the grade of its ’host’ treasure decreased, the treasure spirit will follow suit.” Pixy nonchalantly replied with a hint of arrogance.

Realization dawned on Ace as he became excited, but quickly his expression turned grim when he thought about another problem.

”Well, first it’ll cost a lot, right? And second, wouldn’t it be problematic to send transcendent grade treasures into the Thief’s Space? After all, it might be too much to hold off a transcendent grade treasure with its current grade.”

Ace clearly remembered the time when the Thief’s Space couldn’t handle Eva and Alina’s outburst of Law State prowess when it was still within the realm of elemental state, and it was just barely withstanding their presence because they didn’t try to break free from it, and kept their powers in check.

However, this time it was completely different, as he was planning to suppress a hostile Transcendent Grade entity within the Thief’s Space, which was not even at its final evolved stage of law-state authority.

That’s why Ace’s concern was justifiable, as he cannot afford to put Thief’s Space in jeopardy, especially with the little ones like Cyrus and Chuchu, and other family members of the Thief’s House were inside it.

Moreover, Ace still had no idea if the Thief’s House would also be affected if something were to happen to the Thief’s Space, which is why he couldn’t take such a huge risk for one treasure.

”Well, your worries are well warranted, since just the cost alone will have your head spin, but I’m sure you’ll recover more than enough to make up for your losses.” Pixy stated confidently, ”As for your other concern about Thief’s Space won’t be able to handle and suppress a hostile Transcendent entity, that is true.”

Ace’s expression sank at this point, but Pixy wasn’t done as she seemed to be relishing his wincing before she stated, ”But have you forgotten the nature of the barrier you’ll be stealing with the formation?”

At that moment, Ace’s eyes widened with realization, and he instantly blurted out, ”The sealing barrier! I see. As long as I grab the entire seal, whatever is sealed inside will remain sealed. Simply put, I’m just going to change the places of the seal.”

”Exactly!” Pixy affirmed.

Ace nodded in approval, as this was the only method with minimal risk and a lower chance of exposure.

But he didn’t let this small happiness muddle his mind as he sharply inquired about the crucial point required to make this plan happen.

”How much TP will be required?”

”Hehe~, well, you need around 10 billion Thief Points, and even this is after I cut off my helper’s fee!” Pixy said matter-of-factly.

Ace’s eyes spasmed when he heard the number, and he couldn’t help but exclaim, ”10 billion!? Are you even hearing yourself? Just now you told me it’ll only cost around 1 billion to lower the sealing barrier’s grade to Quasi-Transcendent, yet now you’re asking for the whole 10 billion to lower two treasures’ grades, and that is for just one second!? Do you think I’m easy to scam?”

”Hehehe~, I’m not scamming you because I simply couldn’t expect for some small skimping or when you give me permission willingly.” Pixy annoyingly said, ”But since you’re keen on accusing me, I’ll explain to stop your whining. The cost I mentioned was to reduce the grade to an appropriate level so you can infiltrate the seal.

”However, now I’m telling you to cost to decreased the seal and everything inside to an appropriate level where you can ’steal’ it. But if you are confident that you can steal the entire Quasi-Transcendent Seal and shift it into your Thief’s Space within a second...”

Pixy sneered mockingly, ”Then I’m willing to do it for 2 Billion, but if you fail, I won’t be responsible, and at that time you’ll still end up using that ten billion which you are thinking is too much. But at that time, you have already lost 2 billion extra just to prove my point!”
