Eternal Thief

Ace’s eyes shimmered with cold realization as he finally understood what Pixy was trying to imply.

Although it was good news that the Central Repository didn’t have any owner at the moment, the task’s difficulty remained the same.

After all, even if the Central Repository didn’t have its own treasure spirit, its independent nature alone was enough to give Ace a huge headache.

Nonetheless, Ace wasn’t going to back down from this huge opportunity to not only gain all the precious treasures of the Undead Cradle that even the Evernight Council coveted, but also find his way towards the formation core of the Undead Boundary.

Lastly, as long as Ace can upgrade the Thief’s Space to its final scheme upgrade, he can quickly increase the efficiency of his cultivation and have more trump cards in his arsenal to complete the Abyss Mission Series.

“Alright, I think I’ve heard everything except for one important thing. You still didn’t tell what the actual grade of the Central Repository is?” Ace replied to Pixy impassively, “You keep saying it’s far above the World Space Ring, but I need to know how high because if it’s in the realm of transcendent, then we’ll have a massive problem even if I can get past the master lock.”

Ace was thinking about using his thief symbol summons because they are invincible in the law state realm, but beyond that, they’ll become vulnerable.

“Oh? You sounded overly confident about getting past anything below the transcendent realm. It seemed you still have a few tricks that I don’t know about.”

Pixy may sound surprised, but Ace knew she wasn’t, because from the start, she seemed confident he could pull this off, which meant she knew Ace had trump cards he hadn’t yet shown.

She didn’t waste more time playing around and disclosed, “Well, as long as you are confident, that’s all that matters to me. The grade of this Central Repository is Quasi-Transcendent Grade, a grade between Ascension/Abyssal Grade-9 and Transcendent Grade!”

Ace was startled not by the Quasi-Transcendent Grade but because of the last part as he quickly asked with a hint of confusion, “Wait, shouldn’t the Quasi-Transcendent Grade be between the Ascension/Abyssal or Forbidden Grade-10 and Transcendent Grade?”

“Hehehe, I thought you might notice it.” Pixy giggled playfully, “Your reasoning isn’t false, but the thing is this ’reasoning’ is ’yours’, not of the world around you. Simply put, Grade-10 has long been extinct, and that’s why you know it as the ’Forbidden Grade’, which also means perfection!

“However, to reach the ’Forbidden Grade’, one needed not only forbidden grade materials but also ’Primordial Foundation’ like yours, which means these kinds of treasures are as good as gone from the current age.

“So, the next grade after the Ascension/Abyssal Grade-9 is always Transcendent Grade in today’s law and order, thus the Quasi-Transcendent Grade between Grade-9 and Transcendent Grade. Thus, keeping the imperfection continues.

“Furthermore, even achieving Quasi-Transcendent Grade in your current dominion (Heaven and Abyss) should be nearly impossible, and comparatively speaking, Quasi-Transcendent Grade is slightly stronger than Lower Forbidden Grade-10, and equally matches the Upper Forbidden Grade-10.

“While a true Transcendent Grade Treasure can easily overwhelm even an Upper Forbidden Grade-10 treasure, because at the ’Transcendent Grade’, the very origin of every being would undergo a miraculous change.

“You’ll know what I’m talking about once you break through the Law State! For now, I think this information is sufficient enough for you to gain ’common’ knowledge you should’ve possessed long ago.” Pixy snickered ambiguously at the end, leaving Ace speechless and in great disbelief.

’How in the world did she know all of this after being sealed for who knows how long? She seemed to have completely integrated with the new rules of the current world that even Malservus couldn’t…’

Ace was extremely curious about it, but decided to keep it to himself for now, as Pixy would probably not entertain him right now.

Nonetheless, Ace was now sure that Pixy was still hiding a great deal about herself from him, and she seemed to be slowly showing her true self, which was also a good thing, for it meant she wasn’t trying to hide it.

Ace’s thoughts shifted, ’Since this Quasi-Transcendent Grade is equal to the Forbidden Grade-10, then my summoning abilities should work against it as this grade is still within the limits of the Second Heaven, and First Abyss…’

After receiving his confirmation, Ace no longer wasted time and used Dargoth’s Corpse Clan Authority Token again by tokening onto the platform.

The formation was instantly activated, again, followed by the mysterious emotionless voice echoing through the cavern.

“Identity confirmed…”

After repeating the same process, Ace again decided to exchange for the Iniquitous Crystal through the translucent projection screen, and the Central Repository’s emotionless voice responded instantly.

“Exchange confirmed!”

“One Iniquitous Crystal!”

However, this time, Ace wasn’t going to just observe; as soon as the confirmation ended, the spatial opening slowly began to appear in the air above the platform.

Ace’s eyes turned absolutely focused, and his ’Corpse Qi’ changed into the Primordial Qi, and directly touched the spatial passage. He knew this wouldn’t cause any alarm unless he directly attacked the passage with malicious intent.

As for the reason, he does that because the moment his Primordial Qi touched the passage, the system seemed to sense his intent, and the next moment, the interface Ace wanted to activate appeared before him…
