Eternal Thief

Eleanor became silent as she contemplated Ace’s plan. Although she knew Ace wasn’t simple, she still underestimated his ambition and boldness.

Eleanor was already more than happy to have Ace’s ‘double’ in the PHW King Sect, and she was even willing to hide him until he managed to infiltrate deeper.

But now, Ace wanted to head to the Nether Blood Fiend King Cult, which was literally riddled with dangers. She knew those evil path cultivators were extremely sinister, and killing for greed and snatching treasures were the norm there.

Nonetheless, just as Ace said, if he succeeds, Ace might be the first human to join one of the three evils, and she would reap benefits while continuing to be safe in her home. However, she wasn’t just anyone, and Eleanor had her own secrets, so after thinking about it for a while, she looked at Ace, who was sipping on his tea while waiting for her response without any hint of urgency.

“No, it’s still too dangerous. You’re not strong enough.” Eleanor shook her head, “Maybe, when you reach my level of strength, but now, you’re being too greedy, and besides, you’re underestimating the three evils if you think they won’t be able to notice your double in the PHW King Sect.

“In fact, the three righteous and three evils always kept a close eye on each other, and if you have revealed the nature of your bloodline to the PHW King Sect, there’s no way the three evils wouldn’t notice you.

“If you’re exposed, not only will the NBF King Cult but the PHW King Sect will not let you go, especially when they realize the true potential of your bloodline, especially the NBF King Cult, which is the base of Fiend Race!” Eleanor gravely stated.

Ace’s eyes narrowed slightly, but he knew Eleanor’s refute was well justifiable. With his current prowess and treasures, there was still a considerable chance he would be exposed to the most powerful sects of the Mortal Ascension Heaven.

However, Ace had another reason to go to the NBF King Cult. It was exactly the Moon Fiend King because he was part of the NBF King Cult and a High Elder, no less. Ace found many interesting records and a peculiar item in his storage ring. But he couldn’t reveal this fact to Eleanor; it was too risky. After all, he still had his doubts about this woman’s intentions.

“If that’s the case, I’ll listen to my lady. But can you tell me the difference between these six king sects and other king sects?” Ace nodded and didn’t push this matter anymore.

Eleanor smiled in satisfaction before saying, “Well, this information is an open secret among the King Sects. The three evils and three righteous are the top existences among the king sects, and the reason they can represent these two paths and have absolute suppression over the other king sects is simple: It’s because they had Ascension Kings protecting their sects!”

A hint of reverence and longing surfaced in Eleanor’s eyes when she mentioned ‘Ascension King!’ Ace’s eyes also brightened because he had his own thoughts on this matter.

“Ascension King? Is this realm above the Ascension Lord?” He asked.

Eleanor snickered as she shook her head.

“No, Ascension Lord is the title of the seventh realm. Above it is the Ascension Grand Lord, the eighth realm. After the Ascension Grand Lord is the Ascension King, the ninth and most powerful realm that someone can achieve in Mortal Ascension Heaven!

“You see, a second-grade sect can become a third-grade sect when they have at least three 1-Star Ascension Lords and one Quasi-Grand Lord or simply peak Ascension Lord, just a step away from the Grand Lord realm.

“However, this kind of third-grade sect will only be the weakest among the third-grade sects. A well-established third-grade sect will have at least a peak Grand Lord Realm protector and a Sect Master of the Grand Lord Realm, and finally, a sect should have a legacy of an Ascension King!

“This is also where our human race’s third-grade sects stand, and almost many others like us, and our domains are known as the middle-size domains.

“But these six sects have living Ascension Kings, and their inheritance is even more terrifying. Do not think that reaching an Ascension King realm is easy because, in the history of our human race, king sects, there were only two Ascension Kings, who happened to be the founders of the two king sects.

“There are many such cases among the other king sects which controlled middle-size domains. However, the three righteous and three evils always have Ascension Kings, so their dominance among these two factions is absolute.

“Because if someone offended an Ascension King and gave them a reason to make a move, even a sect with Ascension king grade legacy might not survive their wrath. The only thing that keeps them in check is an ancient treaty that restrained Ascension Kings from attacking any sect unless they had an extremely good reason.

“The same goes for the seventh realm and higher realm cultivators attacking second-grade sects or second-grade sects attacking first-grade sects. Or do you think these powers will allow others to grow right under their noses?

“This is the true difference between the three righteous and three evils and our king sects!” Eleanor’s expression was solemn when she revealed this detail.

Ace was astounded, and he finally understood the status quo of these king sects. All in all, as long as a sect had a powerful Ascension King holding the helm, there was a chance to join the ranks of these three righteous and three evils.

But Ace knew it wasn’t that simple after all. He didn’t believe that there hadn’t been any such cultivators, but the count remained the same. Even the human race with two Ascension Kings couldn’t claim a spot and could never produce more Ascension Kings despite having their legacies.

This could only mean that those six sects might not be willing to have another powerful sect join their ranks since their benefits would be cut off. This had been happening in the Golden Sky World’s ten continents. Or there might be more to this treaty that only those six sects knew.

Anyhow, Ace’s avatar was already on its way to one of these six sects, and as Eleanor said, he couldn’t be careless or hasty with his next move.

“I understand.” Ace nodded, “Then what did my lady have in mind? After all, I can’t show my face in public now, nor can I go with you to the Sun and Moon King Valley since my disguise would be seen through.

“And I don’t think if you revealed my existence to the elders of your sect, they’d leave me alone in peace. In fact, I’m sure many will come after my bloodline. So, what do you have in mind, my lady?” He asked curiously.

Eleanor became silent before her eyes flashed with hesitation, “Are you really not the Sky Stealer?”

“If I were, according to the law contract between us, I would’ve suffered terrible pain. Yet here I am, completely fine.” Ace replied without hesitation.

Eleanor took a deep breath before nodding. Like others, she had absolute trust in Law

Contracts.

“Well, we are not returning to the Sun and Moon King Valley,” Eleanor revealed.

Surprised, Ace asked, “Then where are we going?”

Eleanor suddenly pulled a mysterious smile as she ambiguously said, “We are going to the Great Crown Domain of the Runic King Palace, the Runic Forge City!”
