Samsara Tower: Only I Know the Plot!

Eighteenth Floor – Samsara Tower

As soon as Fenric appeared in the tower’s entry space, the familiar Samsara Elf materialized beside him in a flash of light. The elf’s soft voice greeted him as always.

”Welcome, dear Samsara ’Shura’. What do you need today?”

Fenric replied calmly, ”I’ll be performing a dungeon mission.”

”Understood. This dungeon world is a large-scale scenario—’One Punch Man.’ Are you certain you wish to enter now?”

”Confirmed.”

”Very well. Please wait.”

With a delicate wave of her hand, the elf teleported Fenric into the white preparation chamber.

...

Inside the bright preparation room, Fenric noticed there were only two other Samsaras present.

The moment the two men saw him, they exchanged a quick look—and immediately chose to exit.

Apparently, they had recognized him.

Fenric, the Shura, was infamous throughout the Samsara community.

No one wanted to risk being in the same instance as him.

He smiled faintly and took a seat.

...

Ten minutes later, the system voice echoed through the chamber.

”Teleportation countdown initiated—10, 9, 8... 3, 2, 1!”

When the countdown reached zero, Fenric’s body was enveloped in crimson light. The next instant, he vanished.

A transparent virtual interface appeared before him mid-transfer.

A digital projection displayed twenty-seven possible avatars—all young men, most resembling him slightly.

”Samsara ’Shura’, this is your default appearance in this world. If you’re unsatisfied, please modify it now.”

”Note: This is a persistent world dungeon. Your chosen identity will remain the same in future entries.”

Fenric examined the face the system had selected for him. It was similar enough to his own—clean features, calm eyes. He nodded.

”Confirm.”

”Please enter your name. Note: your identity will default as a civilian and cannot be changed.”

Fenric thought for a moment, then entered the alias he had once used in the Pirate World—

Mundo.

”Identity confirmed.”

”Language adaptation protocol activated. You are now temporarily fluent in this world’s language. This effect will end upon mission completion.”

”Good luck, Samsara Player ’Shura’.”

...

The red light dissipated.

Fenric blinked—and the next moment, found himself standing in a bustling metropolis.

The sky was clear, the sun high overhead.

Warm light spilled over skyscrapers and glass towers, glinting across the streets below.

But the peaceful atmosphere didn’t last.

Screams split the air.

Cars honked, crashed, and clogged intersections. People ran in every direction, abandoning vehicles and belongings as they fled.

”Help!”

”It’s a Kaijin! There’s a monster!”

”Run! It’s killing everyone!”

”My child—where’s my child?!”

The chaos spread like wildfire. The entire street became a storm of panic and despair.

Fenric frowned slightly.

So much for a quiet entry... a monster attack right away?

Ding!

At that moment, the familiar system prompt appeared before his eyes.

Main Mission Released:

Task 1: Participate in the Hero Assessment and become a registered hero in the Heroes Association.

Note: The higher your ranking, the greater your final evaluation.

Task 2: Eliminate a Kaijin.

Note: The stronger the creature you defeat, the better your evaluation.

Task 3: Defeat the strongest by force.

(Complete any one of the three to exit the world. Completing all will greatly increase your final evaluation.)

Time Limit: 90 days.

Failure: Obliteration.

Warning: Do not reveal the existence of the Samsara Space to any native character. Violation will result in immediate obliteration.

”...”

Fenric read the tasks calmly, then looked toward the source of the screams.

A hulking figure rampaged through the street—a cockroach-like monster, half-human in form, its chitin glinting under the sunlight. It crushed cars and pedestrians alike, laughing with insane glee.

”Hahaha! Disgusting humans! You don’t deserve to live! Die, all of you—die!”

Men, women, children—it made no distinction. Everything in sight was prey.

Fenric’s expression darkened.

He didn’t hesitate.

Perfect. Task Two. Let’s test the mission parameters.

Just then, a young girl in a high school uniform stumbled while running. Her foot caught on debris, and she fell hard to the ground. Tears welled in her eyes as she looked up—just in time to see the cockroach monster charging toward her.

”Help! No—don’t eat me!”

The creature raised its massive clawed arm, ready to skewer her.

Swosh!

But before it could strike, a figure dropped from the sky.

BOOM.

Fenric landed between them, his fist slamming forward in one smooth motion.

CRACK!

The monster’s abdomen exploded open, its chitinous armor shattering like glass.

A gaping wound, as wide as a barrel, tore through its body.

It froze mid-lunge, eyes bulging with disbelief.

Then it collapsed without another sound.

Ding!

”Congratulations! You have completed Task Two: Kill a Kaijin.”

”You may now return to the Samsara Space or remain in this world to continue other missions.”

Fenric exhaled softly and smiled.

”Just a warm-up.”

He wasn’t doing this to play the hero—just to confirm the system’s response.

As he turned to leave, something tugged lightly on his sleeve.

He looked down and saw the same high school girl, trembling but alive, staring up at him with wide eyes.

”Onii-chan... thank you for saving me.”

She bowed deeply, voice soft and sincere. When she looked up again and truly saw his face—sharp features, calm confidence—her cheeks flushed pink. Her heart skipped.

Strong. Handsome. Gentle.

He was like the prince from her daydreams.

And he had just saved her life.

Her eyes glowed with admiration. She couldn’t even meet his gaze for long without her face reddening.

...

Around them, a few survivors gathered, their fear melting into relief.

”That was incredible!”

”He killed the Kaijin!”

”Is he a hero?”

”Which hero is he? I’ve never seen him before!”

”Whoever he is—we owe him our lives!”
