The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse

[One Month Later]

A month had already passed since Klaus started training on the Gravity Planet.

A lot had happened, and while Klaus was able to make significant progress in his training, the journey hadn’t been easy.

Still, he was merely in the second layer, but he had made substantial progress.

He climbed the first mountain within a week.

However, that was all.

He didn’t manage to learn Weight Suppression like he wanted, despite feeling a much deeper attachment to it. So he moved forward, and soon, he was standing before yet another mountain.

Klaus spent little to no time and started climbing that, too.

After climbing the first mountain, Klaus felt his understanding of Weight Suppression deepen.

However, even after spending some time trying to see the strands of laws like the way they appeared inside the multidimensional cube, all he saw were merely faint echoes of the law.

So he was determined, and while comprehending the law using its physical aspect seemed tedious, he knew his body was also growing stronger by the second.

Three weeks later, and after climbing five mountains, something good happened.

Up until that moment, Klaus had only awakened the first four diagrams in his Nine-Star Paragon Art. The first star diagram helped him build his foundation from the start of his journey.

The second helped him form his core. That helped him through the formation of the Star Cores from the Grandmaster stage to the Transcendent stage.

The third came in when he started forming his soul cores from the Late Transcendent stage to where he was now.

As for the fourth star diagram, it was what he used in forming his soul bodies, which ultimately helped him with his innate domains awakening, too.

However, the fifth diagram, which Klaus had been looking forward to from the moment he reached the Void stage, only awakened a week ago when he climbed the fifth mountain.

Up until that moment, Klaus didn’t know what the fifth diagram was about. However, upon awakening, he discovered it was for Law comprehension.

Whatever law he has affinity for, provided he was in a place where those laws are visible, he would be able to learn it much faster.

The moment it awakened, Klaus could naturally feel the laws entering his body.

It was like something had automated in his body, and in that moment, his mind and eyes opened, allowing him to see and comprehend the laws much faster.

Klaus even knew that if the Five Paragon Star Diagram had awakened before he came to this planet, he would have long comprehended the first form of the Law of Gravity.

For the past week, Klaus remained at the peak of the fifth mountain, continuing to comprehend the laws he could now see clearly. Though not as clear as inside his cube, this space offered an additional advantage: the ability to train his body.

Gravity deals with strength.

When it was acting against him, he needed his strength to be able to withstand it, and with Klaus’s First Paragon Star Diagram helping with his body and bones, he was doing two things at once.

He was both learning and strengthening his body.

Klaus sat calmly, his eyes closed, a faint brown aura moving across his body as he continued to comprehend the Law of Gravity.

A few hours later, the aura around Klaus started to grow violent, causing him to smile. Soon, the aura of gravity was emitting from Klaus’s body, causing his surroundings to grow unstable.

“Yes.”

Klaus held a beaming smile on his face as he slowly rose into the air while still in his lotus posture.

When he was about three meters off the ground, Klaus opened his eyes, and a powerful aura burst out from his body.

Suddenly, a brown ring appeared over his head, and the mountain below him was flattened. It was as if there had never been a mountain there in the first place.

Klaus looked down and then up at the brown ring, and the smile on his face bloomed even more.

He extended his hand, and the ring moved and shrank until it was hovering in his palm. It had a brown frame, and there were complex markings all over it. Its thickness was about two inches when shrunk and about seven inches when expanded.

“Heaven’s Engine.”

Klaus muttered.

When he finally comprehended Weight Suppression, he awakened a rather unusual Law ability called ’Heaven’s Engine’, which manifested as a brown ring when activated.

It had only two abilities and many seals.

The first ability, called Weightless, allowed him to use the ring to remove gravity from the surroundings, rendering those caught within unable to move.

Though warriors, to some degree, defy gravity by flying through space. Using this law, he could render them unable to do anything against gravity.

They will become weightless and only float aimlessly.

When that happened, he could then use the second ability called Suppression. Basically, if Weightless is used to eliminate gravity, Suppression would exert it many times over.

Klaus was able to flatten an entire mountain without even trying. That was the power of the ’Heaven’s Engine’. He could easily suppress anyone and even turn them into meat paste with a mere flick of his hand.

[Congratulations, brat. Awakening a Law ability this early has many benefits. Though I have to say, awakening a Gravity Law-based ability is one I wasn’t expecting. But since it is you, then why not?]

Klaus smiled, knowing this was indeed unusual.

Nyxthar, the best of his doom guards, had already comprehended the Law of Void to a rather high level, but he hadn’t awakened any law ability aside from the ones he created. However, Klaus had already awakened an overpowered skill.

[Though you have to know there are many seals on this ring. Every seal that you break will release more power of the ’Heaven’s Engine’.]

“I know, senior, and since I have three more weeks here, I might as well keep training. The path forward now is to master the Law of Weight Suppression to the peak, which, from my calculation, will open the second and third seals on the ’Heaven’s Engine’.

I must continue training for now, and hopefully, I will be able to make some progress before going back.”

[Just don’t overwork yourself. At every stage in Law comprehension, there are four levels. The first level is the Common level, where you are currently. After this point, there are Adept, Refine, and finally Peak.

Just know that even being at the Common level is more than enough to make you someone dangerous, and with the ability that you have awakened, I am sure that even at this common level, you aren’t in any way weak.]

“I will be sure to keep it within my capabilities, senior.”

Klaus landed on the ground and started walking forward. At this point, Klaus realized that awakening the Law of Gravity had made him several times stronger. So, despite being inside the second layer, he was moving without much pressure on his body.

“One day, when the Law of Gravity fuses with my body, I will be able to crash planets with a gentle tap of my pinky finger,” Klaus smiled cheerfully.

“When that day comes, I will be sure to level some planets dominated by the heavens as a message telling them not to mess with me.”

With that plan in mind, Klaus was ready for another intense three weeks of training.

The Dungeon will open in three weeks, so he wants to handle everything before then.

Something left behind by Magnus must be explored, especially since he had no memory of it.
