The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse

All over Zanbathu, thousands were seated in a lotus posture with their eyes closed. On their foreheads was a tattoo of a panther’s eyes inside a star.

These tattoos came in three colors.

Naturally, these colors represented the talent level of each individual.

On the forehead of the average warrior was a blue-colored tattoo of the panther’s eye inside the star. Thousands bore this tattoo.

Those with the blue-colored tattoo were bound to unlock two seals after awakening the Panther goddess bloodline.

Inside each seal were powerful bloodline abilities and other enhancements that would significantly boost their strength. This was Bast’s gift to them to use in aiding her master.

The Generals, or some of them, and a few soldiers had a green-colored tattoo on their foreheads. This tattoo would unlock three seals on their bloodline, thereby unleashing powerful abilities hidden within it.

Then there were those with white tattoos. They were destined to have four seals unlocked.

However, Klaus was currently looking at the golden tattoo that appeared on Prince Challa’s face and the red one on Princess Eshira’s forehead.

“Don’t tell me Bast actually managed to achieve that.”

Back when Klaus met her in the land of monsters, she had this crazy idea of merging the laws with her bloodline.

The idea seemed unrealistic; however, Bast was dedicated, and for thousands of years, she never stopped working towards it.

Now, looking at the golden and red tattoos, Klaus felt both Metal and Killing Intent.

The golden gave off the aura of Metal, and the red gave off a potent Killing Intent.

“If she indeed mastered the Law of Intent when Killing is put as the base focus, then she has truly managed to comprehend the Law of Intent to some level and even merged it with her bloodline.

As for the Law of Metal, she was already knowledgeable to some degree back then, so I wouldn’t be shocked if she had fully comprehended it.”

Klaus let a smile of admiration appear on his face as he looked at the two tattoo marks.

“Bast is indeed brilliant. This time, I will depend on her to learn the laws much faster before reaching the domain stage.”

Klaus remained seated for ten good hours before he started sensing a powerful aura coming from all over Zanbathu.

“They are awakening, and this aura…” Klaus raised his brow in surprise, unsure what to think.

He looked up at the heavens and sighed, “It won’t be long now.”

So far, Klaus sensed Four Ascension stage auras originating from the city, indicating that four more Ascension stage warriors had appeared, thereby pushing the Earth’s strength to its limit.

Klaus was already expecting the heavens to send down the notice any moment. However, even after three hours, when seven more Ascension stage auras appeared and nothing happened, he frowned.

Looking on the bright side, he sighed and hoped the heavens weren’t scheming something beyond his expectations.

“Knowing them, they are probably scheming rather well against me.” Klaus brushed his hair with his hands and exhaled. “I hate it when they plan well.”

After three more minutes, thousands had awakened their bloodlines, with the total number of Ascension stage auras Klaus sensed reaching twenty.

With several Ascension stage experts already on Earth, Klaus began to sense that the heavens were preparing rather well. But he also had his ace up his sleeve, and he knew the game of chess would surely be his.

Exactly 24 hours since Bast initiated the awakening, Princess Eshira and Prince Challa opened their eyes, releasing Peak Ascension stage auras.

None went through a tribulation, showing the power of the Panther goddess and the Paragon of the Nine stars.

Klaus smiled and flicked his hand, drawing a drop of his blood and handing it to Prince Challa. “The next phase of your awakening requires you to consume this.”

Prince Challa nodded and consumed the blood, beginning his second awakening, one that Klaus knew would take him to the Nether stage for sure.

A few seconds after Prince Challa started his second awakening, all of Klaus’s wives appeared inside the Ancestral site.

Klaus stood up and turned to his ladies. “Time for you all to consume the newly upgraded version of my blood. But before that, you will help me give it to every last person who awakened their bloodline in the Bast Race.

After that, you will again handle all those on Earth who have already consumed my blood and those you deem worthy.”

Klaus turned back to his human form, and then his forehead shone as a star tattoo appeared there. Suddenly, Efad appeared, looking cute and tiny.

He looked at the ladies with calm and respectful eyes and then bowed slightly. “Hi, ladies.”

The ladies were taken aback, looking between Klaus and Efad. They could see the resemblance, and that alone sparked questions in their minds.

“He is my soul body.”

“He is speaking the truth. I am indeed his soul body. You can call me Efad,” Efad smiled. “I will be in charge of the Star Monarch blood distribution and awakening from here onwards.”

Lily giggled and appeared before Efad, cupping his cheeks. “You are so cute.”

Although Efad tried to wiggle his way out of her grip, Lily picked him up like she was lifting her little brother.

Klaus smirked, unsure how to feel about any of this. In the end, he pushed everything onto Efad. He would handle it. After all, his soul bodies were much more advanced than those of his ladies.

That was possible because of the doors inside his soul sea. They possessed an Ancient cultivation technique outside of this universe, known as the Primordial Soul Body.

Klaus didn’t know where it came from, but he knew if his soul bodies managed to fully comprehend it, not only would they be able to form a physical body using another technique inside the same space, but they could even leave Klaus’s soul space and explore the vast universe out there without any fear of death.

“I have some things to handle, so I will be taking my leave.” The ladies nodded, but their attention was on the cute little Efad, who was being passed around like a ball.

“Come when you are done here, Efad,” Klaus laughed and flew away.

Efad looked at him go and gritted his teeth. In the end, he was the one who came up with the idea to handle the Star Monarch Bloodline, so Klaus let him do just that.

He was the original owner, so he knew how to bring out its power.

Soon, Klaus was back in Dream City.

He entered the cube and gave all his beasts his blood, then looked for Jane.

“Big brother, where are we going?” Jane asked, flying into the clouds.

“We are going far from this solar system to handle urgent business. If I were to take the ship alone, it would take time, so we will be using your space teleportation abilities to move fast. Can you handle it?”

Jane put on a confident face. “I can handle it, big brother.”

“Good.” The moment they came out of the Earth’s atmosphere, Jane made the star map hover before her. She activated it, and soon, the planets in Earth’s solar system appeared.

Jane used her index finger to trace a line from the Earth to Neptune. It was the farthest from Earth. Klaus felt his surroundings warp, and then they appeared in a completely different place, now looking at a dense blue planet.

“One more time,” Jane muttered.

Soon, they were away from Neptune, this time appearing in a space surrounded by asteroids. Klaus retrieved the spaceship, and they started flying, allowing Jane to rest and recover her energy before the next teleportation.
