The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse

“You know, though we’ve taken a step in our relationship, we have to stop meeting this way. It’s creepy,” Klaus grumpily said, staring weakly at Hanna, who was gazing at him with a weird expression on her face.

Klaus had just woken up, and like always, Hanna was inside the room, staring at him. This time, however, he was in his elf form, so her gaze contained something else.

“Can I touch them?” she asked, pointing at his ears.

“No,” Klaus said, not entertaining her this morning.

“Please. Just once,” Hanna said, feigning a pitiful expression.

“No can do,” Klaus turned back to his human form, making Hanna pout and playfully punch his chest. Klaus caught her weak punch and pulled her into the bed.

“I only allow my women to touch my ears. You’re just my buddy, so no can do.”

“Just a buddy… are you for real?” Hanna looked at him with evil intentions building up in her head.

“Just a buddy. You’re like my beast bud who’s a pervert but also beautiful. So you’re like my best beautiful perverted buddy.”

Klaus laughed, but his laughter was cut short when Hanna’s hand grabbed hold of his nipples and twisted them. Klaus winced but didn’t let her continue her unruliness.

They played around in bed for a few minutes before Klaus took his bath, and they both went out to have breakfast.

“Klaus, Old Lu said Nari is still in seclusion, and from the way her energy is growing unstable, she will be breaking through in a couple of weeks, two months tops,” Queenie said, making Klaus nod.

“There is still time. I will handle her when we go back.”

Queenie nodded and then switched to the next agenda. She knew Nari would create a commotion when she broke through, so she was keeping a close eye on her.

If this were like before she met Klaus, she would just trap her in the Void. Now that she had become a Level 2 Void stage expert, her control over the Void was very high.

Of course, if she couldn’t do it alone, then her mother, who had reached Level 4, would help her. This way, with two Void stage experts working together, they could easily trap her and figure out the next plan.

Klaus, on the other hand, had a different idea, one that wouldn’t involve trapping anyone in the Void.

Nari is a Great Calamity, but he is the Star Monarch… Someone who once tamed the three Great Calamities, making them his subordinate…

“Mother reached out and said they are now set to come. Per their schedule, they will be setting sail in three weeks. This means I have to announce to the entire world that we will be having visitors.”

“Go ahead. I know this is a big one for you, so do as you please. I will always stand by you,” Klaus replied, making Queenie, Ohema, and, strangely, his mother very happy.

“Mom, why are you smiling?” Klaus, of course, had to ask. The woman had become unstable these past few days, so he felt he ought to know.

“Nothing. I just want to meet my in-laws and see if they are all as beautiful as these two gorgeous twins.”

Obviously, she wanted to see if Queenie and Ohema’s mom was as they described her. They told her she was just like them. In fact, if they were together, one would call them triplets. Your next chapter is on My Virtual Library Empire

Her shamelessness was starting to show.

In truth, Klaus was also thinking about the same thing. This meant both the mother and son were bastards who knew no shame.

“By the way, do the overlords have a way to address the entire world? I mean, like hijacking everyone’s devices?” Klaus asked, and Queenie nodded.

“We do have something like that, but I presume you have a better idea,” Queenie said.

“Yes. I promised KKKickinIt I would help her get an interview with an overlord. Of course, Nari is who I was talking about, but she is unstable, so I want you to do it.

This way, you can announce to the entire world about our new neighbors coming in three weeks. If possible, allow her to become your personal media personality.”

“Why?” Ohema asked. All of them wanted to know, considering Klaus wanted someone who gossips to get close to the overlords.

“That’s because she is just like you. She is a peak Ascendant. In fact, she is suppressing her cultivation so much that the moment she lifts the seal, she will become a Void-stage expert.

As to why or who she really is, I don’t know. But she is not simple, and I think we should keep an eye on her. She might be an enemy, and what is the best way to keep an eye on an enemy if not while she is closest to you?”

“Are you being serious?” Queenie asked.

“Very serious. When I first met her, I assumed she was a Great Sage, but now that I have become much stronger and awakened a bloodline that allows me to hold influence over reality, I can finally see her true self.

She is in disguise. She has suppressed her cultivation base, and she has a rather powerful presence compared to ordinary warriors. I think she is very dangerous, so we should keep an eye on her.”

Queenie gulped. In fact, everyone gulped, hearing there was such a person running around. Klaus, on the other hand, just smiled.

Right now, he just doesn’t know where she is from. Just like the Water borns and Ice Children, the Moon borns are soon to come.

But the brown skin beauty who chooses to disguise and suppress her cultivation is a complete mystery for now. He wants to know, but he also doesn’t want to let her know he suspected her.

“Don’t worry too much about it. With me around, she won’t be able to do anything, and that’s assuming she is an enemy.

She could be like you, Ohema. You were here to assess us and report, but in the end, you became an ally. This could be a similar situation, and while we don’t know the extent of her reach, we can only keep an eye on her.”

“Okay. I will arrange it,” Queenie sighed, then called her assistant to arrange a meeting with Controversial News.

Though she is the strongest person on Earth, she is Klaus’s woman too. This means she now listens to her husband, and if her man says she should do something, she won’t hesitate to do it.

Klaus may be a mere Great Sage, but he is as terrifying as an Overlord. If he makes a choice, she can only go with it.

In the end, it’s Klaus—someone who doesn’t play by the rules.
